Yes it does have amazing outdoor seating and yet it's under a gazebo so good for wanting to eat outside without the sun hitting you so bad! Now when you walk inside this restaurant you are greeted by this most amazing person. I would have to say best customer service ever his name is Erick! He greeted us as soon as we stepped inside also for this hot weather that AC is a god sent! Now for the menu everything is posted in these big screens with such nice decor on it. It honestly goes with the theme of this place! We decided to order a quesabirria tacos and two regular tacos one alpastor (marinated pork) and one carnitas. Erick asked if I wanted hot sauce or mild I said "do you mind giving me one of each?" Which he replied with oh yes! Most places will not bother going the extra mile for a customer but Erick is on point! Total for our food was $23.00 something tip included. I loved the fact that Erick said next step on the tablet is tip you don't have to put anything if you don't want to just click no. I'm super happy that he gives his customers that are not eating in a chance to say yes to tipping or no! I decided to tip and yes I'm happy to do it. Now let's talk about the food!!! My son as soon as he bit into his tacos he said "i couldn't have chosen a better option than this. You can't ever go wrong with this tacos" as he continued to down the first taco. My tacos were amazing the tortillas were small portions which is perfect and the ratio meat to tortillas to cilantro to onions was in fact perfect! Our 5-star experience started with the server welcoming us in and helping us navigate the menu. I had the chicken taco salad - liking the idea of salad around the shell, and the bowl full of rice/beans/meat! My wife had an empanada de loroco- very tasty. And our Horchata drink was really the best I've ever had! There is an outdoor parklet that was popular, but we ate in the small indoor area. Ranchero Taqueria is our go-to Mexican restaurant for two main reason - 1) super close to the crib 2) good food and fast takeout service. We moved to the area over a year ago and have been to many Mexican places nearby with good results. We consistently order takeout lunch from Ranchero Taqueria because the food is usually ready in 10-15 minutes. My wife likes their Carnitas and we both like sharing some Super Nachos for lunch when we work from home. Having a toddler in daycare, this sadly might be our date meal for the week, haha! The ambience is friendly and the staff makes you feel at home. We like to order tacos and recommend the Al Pastor, Carnitas and Lengua options. ***3.5 Stars*** A solid option for street tacos on Monument. I've been here quite a few times in the past but mainly for their taco truck. The tacos at their truck are absolutely addictive! Their taco truck has since disappeared and/or relocated (please bring it back!!! I miss it!). So, now I've had to resort to getting tacos from their brick and mortar. Not that the tacos from here are bad or anything, but they are a lot different than the ones that I've had at their truck. Their street tacos are a lot larger than most other places as they tend to use the larger corn tortillas here (the smaller ones at their taco trucks). They definitely know how to stack the meat, and all of their salsas have always been pretty flavorful. I'm a big fan of their steak tacos here as I feel that they really know how to marinate the meat and it's pretty tender. Three street tacos should do you in pretty good, but if you have a larger appetite, you may wanna grab a few more. They offer complimentary chips and salsa which is always a plus. Service at the window can be hit or miss, but I usually just grab my items to go anyways. Sometimes this place is packed and other times I'm the only one inside. Since COVID, they've added a beautiful covered patio space in the parking lot (where their taco truck used to be). It's a nice little setup but I haven't yet sat out and ate there. Parking can be an issue since it's shared with several different merchants in the shopping center, but I can at least find parking behind El Rancho's building across the parking lot. I've also come here for breakfast a few times since they have a decent Mexican breakfast menu. The chilaquiles are quite good, but I wouldn't make them my first choice option for breakfast as there are several other taquerias that are better for it. But for filling street tacos, this place is pretty tasty. Still wishing that they'd bring their taco truck back, but I guess I'll just have to settle by coming here instead until they do. read more

This taqueria is located next to the hispanic market and offers indoor seating and outdoor seating in a cute parklet. They also have a taco stand right outside for quick ordering of tacos. We got the 4 taco special ($15) and a horchata ($5) which was in a large cup. The horchata was slightly creamy and was great and not watered down. As for the tacos, we got carne asada (beef), carnitas (pork), and pollo (chicken). The carnitas was a stand out. The meat was so tender and soft. The carne asada was also very good. Pollo was standard. They have several toppings and salsas that you can put on the tacos. Loved the picked vegetables topping, but it was very spicy. Hope they can tone down the heat as the salsas were already spicy. They should also really put the tongs for the toppings in a separate dish as they were laid right on top of the food which wasn't too sanitary considering that every customer touches those tongs. read more

I work as an emergency medical technician on a 911 paramedic ambulance in alameda county primarily serving the citizens of Oakland, San Leandro and Hayward.. First time here and I was only planning on ordering lengua tacos but saw menudo on the menu and I HAD to order both. The seating inside is a little cramped, but we made do and happily shared the tables with other patrons. There's outdoor seating as well, but all of those tables were occupied. It was a little bit of a wait, only because they were slammed! Which is a good sign of delicious food. Our order came and I couldn't take the smile off my face because of how tasty everything looked! Ranchero Taqueria catered a party we threw for 50 of our friends. The tacos were fantastic! Everyone loved them and the Al pastor was the first to run out. They provided a great spread of tacos, beans, rice, fruit and drinks. They have a professional set up for the backyard. Everyone loved the food and we were stuffed and still had leftovers. First off I am a very picky, Mexican food eater. I only say that because I am Mexican and can get these home-cooked meals anytime if I want it. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Concord. I've tried many in the area and most places lack flavor, and authenticity. The chicken flautas were very good and so was the super burrito. I came on a Saturday and they were making tacos outside of the restaurant with tortillas hechas a mano (hand made tortillas). We tried these and these were also VERY good. This place is a must try and highly recommend!! Glad I found my go to Mexican food spot. Customer service was also great. Super friendly staff! read more

Came here on Sunday afternoon, looks like parking lot gets full but people are always in and out of the surrounding stores so you'll get a spot if it's full, we have a couple menu items we were all pleased with our food they have a lot of fruit drink options, freshly made! When you order your drinks are quickly made and put up on the counter on top of a receipt that has your name , your food is served on very nice white plates , and there is a covered seating area outside! We were a bit nervous because finding a good authentic Mexican restaurant is like finding a needle in a haystack around here. Now this... this is the place to get good Mexican food! The tacos were DELICIOUS. They were full of flavor and absolutely no fat. I ordered 2 chicken and 2 pastor and they were just mmmm chefs kiss. Their horchata actually tastes like an horchata and not watered down one bit. I also like that they have newspapers to read while waiting for food. Only came here because El Molino was closed. That place is cheaper and better. Passed by here today to get a quick bite to eat and I was not disappointed. I originally wanted to Tripa tacos but they ran out and I was only able to get one taco of tripa and the other had be al Pastor. They ended up both being really tasty and flavorful. The Tripa was a little crunchy and had so much flavor and the al Pastor was equally as delicious. Both tacos were made with hand made tortillas. The cost was a little more for the hand made tortillas but it was definitely worth it! I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! read more

After leaving from CALPERS, I noticed Taste of World Market (across from the Pleasant Hill BART Station) with the food trucks. It was close to lunch hour (almost 12 noon) and I was hungry. I only had a croissant and bottled water for breakfast in the morning. I did a quick glance and walked around the courtyard, trying to decide which food truck did I want to try. I did not feel like having kabob or barbecue. I needed something to take with me to head back home via BART. It didn't take me long to decide on the Ranchero catering food truck, which had burritos, taco plate, torta and quesadillas at decent prices. However, in writing this review, I wasn't sure whose business I had to opine about - the name on the truck or the receipt. A yelp search did not show anything on Ranchero Catering. Thus, I opted for what was stated on the receipt, Los Rancheros Taqueria. After perusing the menu board, I asked for a super steak burrito with an addition of guacamole to go. Oh, yum, a burrito with all the fixings that I like. Gentleman assisting me was pleasant. When I got my burrito, my eyes became bigger than my stomach. For about $11, the burrito was humongous. I knew right away the burrito was enough for two meals. Half of the burrito hit the spot for my hunger pangs, and the value was worth it. It was filling and delish. I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of steak (asada) he put into the burrito. There was more chopped steak than rice and beans. He was not skimpy on the steak...quite generous. I usually don't eat a lot of meat. I know the next time I run across the Ranchero Catering food truck at Taste of World Market I will order the vegetarian burrito with the portobello mushroom. Even the description of the taco plate (two tacos with rice and bean) looked worth it. Overall, I am satisfied that I decided on getting lunch from this food truck. I'm on the quest of trying the different taquerias on Monument Blvd and concord area so went here yesterday for dinner. The taqueria is somewhat hidden in between the laundry mat and Mexican super market (which has some awesome baked goods btw), behind the Mexican restaurant, Korean market and Korean restaurant ;) I've been to the other establishments in this square and always saw people in front of the taqueria so this was on top of my list to try The menu is a bit overwhelming. Took me some time to process and see what they have as the organization was weird. Changing pictures of various dishes helped to provide an idea of what you will get and portion size. Essentially breakfast, tacos, burrito, quesadilla, soups, tortas, and some other plates including a fried fish, asada, taco plates, fresh juice And fruit dessert. It's a very basic taqueria in terms of seating and decor (or the lack thereof) - kind of similar to what you see in Mexico. They have a couple of tables so you can eat inside or of course to go. You order at the counter. I think they also cater/do a food truck. Now to the food: Taco grande with asada - the best item and would order again, good portion size and enjoyed the beans and avocado that came with it Taco al pastor- not the same as in Mexico where I tried it... May be a regional thing but there it was shaved of a larger piece of meat that is constantly grilled (like a gyro) and comes with pineapple. The meat was generous and flavorful Asada plate was good but portion size for $13 was small. I think fajita would be the same size and For that price you certainly get bigger portions in the area and elsewhere. It may not be filling for those that enjoy a bigger portion. So I'd stick to the tacos and may try the tortas. Many people also ordered the dessert, fruit salad with sweet cream granola and something else. Came in here for licuados and ended up devouring some pupusas. So, I'm just going to review those two, I will update when I try the other stuff. Pupusas are moist and have just the right amount cheese. I would say that they were up to standard to the pupusa joint back home. The cabbage and salsa given was really good and complemented the pupusas. The licuados were very bland and needed more sugar. I would not come back here for them. I was not impressed and the price I paid was not worth it. Overall, the pupusas are well worth the four stars. The pork was a bit tough and it was not the traditional cut from vertical spinner. Came by this place today for lunch with a coworker and ordered the crunchy taco combo plate. The plate came with a crunchy taco, rice, beans, onions, topped with guacamole. While the rice and beans were definitely meh, the crunchy taco was hands down one of best crunchy tacos (ok, I know it crunchy tacos are not authentic Mexican food) I've ever had! And the guac was so refreshing, it really was to die for! Next time I'm here, I think I'll just skip the combo plate and load up on the tacos. read more
