A "Mexican restaurant" with identity crisis... as you walk in, there is a (1) "service desk" to your right (don't know what kind of service they offer or provide), () in the middle section is the ordering counter 1 where you order n pay, (3) and to the left is a Western Union-like desk where quite a few people are dealing w the clerk, apparently inquiring to send money or a wire transfer. The cashier was very friendly and helpful however the food (burritos) just didn't make the cut for us. We ordered 2 lengua (beef tongue) burritos at $12 each and the burritos are eatable but just OK at best. It is definitely not the best burrito I've had. Inside the burrito wrap is a mush of beans, then some lengua. Taste is quite bland and appears to be missing something taste-wise. Overall a very mediocre experience with mediocre food. Wow this restaurant is dirty! We came to get a dinner on Monday night. We were the only customers at the restaurant and it took 45 minutes to get 2 aquachiles. 4 tables were left with food and they never cleaned them off. The entire time we were there the staff didn't pick up finished dishes from 4 tables and cleaned them. The tables, chairs, windows are extremely dirty. You know if you see restaurant like this the kitchen will be a mess too. We asked for 2 waters but had to go ask them 2x before she gave us the waters. We asked for not spicy aguachile and got extremely spicy one. I'm married to a Mexican man so I know aguachiles. Where are the owners? How can you stay in business providing such a crappy job? I came here for the first time and as I approached the door I almost turned around and left. I stopped myself and said just try it. It doesn't look very clean and there's some computers set up in two corners of the place like an office. The staff is super friendly. My family ordered a few different items and their reviews are as follows Birria tacos - my son said they were very good I had street tacos and they were delicious My husband had a wet burrito and he didn't like it. He said it was meat and rice and an odd ball of cilantro in the middle. Maybe it was an off day for that particular item. But with a name like 'Mexican Burritos' you'd think they'd be the star of the show. My younger son had a bean and cheese burrito and he liked it. The michelada!! Mmmmm yummmy. I have been going here for roughly 20 years, and even the taste of the food cannot save them from this horrible experience I had today. At first, the place looks alright inside, the same it has been every time I had been here, except with no seating due to covid. The floors look a bit dirty, but the flies buzzing around, landing on me and getting close to the food got me a bit annoyed. The food itself, still taste the same as it always does. This is my grandpa's favorite place to get burritos, and he always gets me either the Carne Asada or the Chicken burrito. They always made it the same way, so at least the food tasted alright. The lady making the food did not have any gloves on. I could not recall if she had a mask on, since I was annoyed with something more serious which I will describe below. She grabbed the handles of all her scoopers with her bare hands, along with the cheese they placed on top of the wet burritos. She did not wash her hands or use hand sanitizer when going from the food area to using the sharpie to mark the to-go containers. Now, the worst part of it was the customer service. I was in line first, followed by a white lady and then a Hispanic gentleman. After placing my order, I noticed they place the "guest check" order directions on the counter. Mine was first in line, followed by the white lady and then the Hispanic gentleman. At this point, I had waited about 20 min in the store just to place my order, and was getting a little restless. What started to make me feel super agitated was the fact the Hispanic gentleman got his food served and ready before me. We both ordered two wet burritos, but for whatever reason, he was allowed to receive his food and leave the restaurant before me. I then spoke with the white lady about this, and she too noticed that he got his food before us, despite ordering after both of us. Then, the white lady got her food before me, and she (white lady) told me that she feels super bad that I even have to wait after her. I finally got my order about 10 more minutes later, and just had to leave. I cannot prove anything too much, but I have witnessed with my own eyes, and after speaking with the white lady, that this establishment seems to cater to a certain group of people over others. I have never experienced this before, and I remember the workers who has helped me all this time. I was not expecting this to occur, but at the same time, sort of saw it coming. The only reason I even go here was because my grandpa always went and got a burrito from them. Today was my grandpa's remembrance day and I wanted to order and eat one in honor of him. This review is for their taco truck that's parked outside of Foodmaxx: Went tonight and I left disappointed. I ordered 4 tacos total: 2 al pastor, 1 steak, & 1 chorizo. The tacos were bland, as in the meat didn't have much flavor, the salsas were inconsistent as only one of the pastor tacos had spicy salsa (on all the other tacos the salsa wasn't spicy at all), and the tortillas weren't cooked all the way. Aside from the food, the service wasn't all that great either. The man taking our order wasn't very welcoming and when he gave us our order, he didn't give us any napkins or limes. They also didn't have any water bottles but had a large selection of sodas, so that was cool. Tacos de carne asada...on point! This is the only item on the menu that I tried. It's a tiny spot- no where to eat. Tables were filled when I got there but perfect to order your food and take it to go. Good portion of carne asada on 2 corn tortillas and the salsa was to die for. We recently used them to cater a party, well rule #1 folks is arrive ON TIME, not 20 min past the hour our guests were supposed to already be eating!!! which means while we wait for your to set up it is not 35-40 min past the time we paid for. Service was fine after that, but as caterers they need work on getting on time to the places! It was no fun explaining to our hungry guests why the food had not arrived yet. I first found this place back in 1995 when I went to DVC. Actually my friend Mark took me here after we worked out. This became our weekly ritual eating super burritos which is a great deal. I remember when it was located in Pleasant hill before they tore it down to make the new downtown Pleasant hill area. The owner is this little old man who is very kind and the food is great. Chicken Nachos is a huge serving as well as their super burritos. Every time I go there I order the Chili Verde super burrito along with a cup of jalapenos. If your looking for a quiet great place for Mexican food, then this is a place you should check out. My overall experience with Mexican Burritos is positive, however it wasn't amazing and even with the lingering taste of the burrito and rice still stuck in my mouth, it wasn't very memorable. The service was fast and they got my order right. I got the carne asada special burrito, which is a wet super burrito. I had my food to go, and it was expertly packed for me. The burrito itself suffered what many of the burrito places in Concord suffer from -- dry and bland. The rice was a good texture but it might have well have been white rice. The meat wasn't greasy, which was a nice change, and there wasn't much fat on it. It was a little burnt which added a nice texture to it, but overall it was still very dry. I think this place would be greatly improved with a salsa bar. Also, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was warm instead of room temperature. read more

Theres a guy here that is very unprofessional. My wife and I have eaten here once. And ordered food to go multiple times. She makes the order first. And then i go pick it up. So he takes her number and calls her while I was with her. And she told me who it was. He even insisted that she call him back when "shes not busy" so they can talk. Of course my wife does not call him back and tells me everything. Very ILLEGAL for an employee to take someone's phone number from an order and calls them back just to hook up.
