Came here for Cinco De Mayo. Read the reviews on Google and decided to give it a try. They have taco specials during the week and the price for them area very very good. My wife and I took a lil minute to figure out what we wanted prior to ordering and the cashier showed patience. We settled on burritos. I knocked two stars off because they messed up both of orders and that made me a little upset. They remade my burrito completely over, but they did not for my wife. They just gave her what they forgot on the side. She was not happy about it. She ate it anyway. We both agreed that the burritos were cold.. the meat, rice and beans. However, we were not going to complain again. I decided that I would add it to my review. I enjoyed the salsa and chips bar. This location just always gets it right. They are consistent and it's a good thing bc their tacos are really good. Service is fast, tacos are GOOD, and all at a good price so you can't beat that! They have a small patio for outdoor seating, lots of seating inside, an entire salsa and unlimited chips bar if you spend $7 or more, aguas frescas, lot of soda varieties etc. I forgot about this place and coming back I remembered why I came here a lot. Came here on my lunch break! Mind you I only have 30 mins. I got back to work & my order was wrong! Ordered a taco salad. No beans??? They forgot the beans and cheese. We found this spot on Yelp! We were in the area and figured it was worth the try with all the good reviews. We ordered a super burrito with carne asada, quesadillas birrias, and 1 asada taco, 1 Pastor taco and 1 carnitas taco. I preferred the pastor and carnitas tacos the best out of the 3 although we did find small pieces of white plastic in the taco meat. I love a super burrito, super nacho, or quesadilla suiza from here. What prompted me to leave a review now was my recent party order. I got 4 regular tacos and one super taco here the other day for lunch and I was very happy with my food. The super taco was a bit much but I wanted to try it in addition to the regular tacos, it was very filling and if you're looking for something with everything on it that's the way to go! Stopped in the other day when my craving for a breakfast burrito hit, and 2 Roosters definitely delivered. Smoky bacon, queso (upon request), even rice and beans up in that thang. Salsas were fresh, balanced and flavorful. Not trying to vibe out on any fancy level; Los Dos Gallos offers prompt service and is an accessible, and tasty neighborhood taqueria experience. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I ordered a regular steak burrito and paid .75 cents extra for cheese they didn't even put on the burrito. The steak is dry and has literally no flavor. The burrito itself is even dry as hell even with the salsa. Same thing for the steak tacos I ordered. Bland and dry. The only upside is they pack your burrito with a lot of meat but does that even matter when it's bland and dry? Their salsa's are bland too and lack spice and flavor. When the food came out of the kitchen, I was a bit surprised with how much food you get with your order. I got a taco bowl and it was honestly enough for both lunch and dinner. I got carne asada as my protein and it was unfortunately a bit dry and also somewhat on the salty side. The garnishes - shredded lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, etc. was a bit subdued in color; things seemed like they could've been more fresh. Price wise, entree here are comparable to Chipotle (though you have a much wider selection of meats here). One thing that did stand out to me was the presence of a self-serve salsa bar (with chips). Not sure this is the most COVID friendly thing to do, but its an option that's available to you. My best friend and I came on a Taco Tuesday because she was craving some serious tacos. She looked up places on Yelp that did Taco Tuesday and we settled on this place. Lots of things to order on the menu, but I decided to get two pastor and two carnitas tacos for $1.50 each, one carne asada taco (not part of Taco Tuesday deal), and a horchata. There was a salsa bar so we stocked up on lime, salsa, and pico. Their salsa and pico definitely have a kick to it. I can handle my spice, and this wasn't the spiciest salsa in the world but it definitely made me finish my horchata sooner than I planned. The tacos were slightly smaller than street tacos that I'm used to, but still worth the price if you wanted to fill yourself with tacos. Personally the carne asada taco was my favorite one, and I can see why it's not part of the Taco Tuesday menu. TLDR: terrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place or come back. waited in line to buy a bottled soda (since you can't online) and pick up an online order (through yelp). they said they didn't have my order. of course i left my phone with receipts in my car, all the way in the parking garage (my fault) and the employee tried to ring it up and charge me for a second time. i told her i'd return with my phone to show proof of my purchase. i return and wait again. they still don't see my online order. I show them my yelp app with the order estimation and my email confirmation that says "Today at 12:37PM" It's now 1pm. I made sure to show them the yelp app and email AND scroll through so they didn't mistake them for old screenshots since they obviously thought I was lying to them for some nachos. THREE employees looked at Yelp and my email and still did not believe me. Finally someone reset the online order tablet and there my order was. They made me feel like a crazy person, a liar, and a thief. Then she proceeds to ring up the soda, but I told her I just wanted my food and not to spend anymore money at this restaurant. Then she told me to just take the soda like she was doing me a big favor. Not one employee apologized for this embarrassing inconvenience and assuming I'm a liar. I've worked in customer service for years, and the customer is always right!! (even when they're wrong, but in this case I was in the right and was still treated poorly) I would have refunded the customer, gave them their order, and apologized. The average of the 5 items my friend and I tried came out to 3.6 stars so rounded it comes out to 4 stars. The side of chips and pico de gallo were good. I had a carnitas crunchy taco and a chili verde enchilada with a side of rice. The taco was crunchy, it came with guacamole, lettuce and sour cream and the carnitas was more towards the driver side versus moist. The chili verde tasted like carnitas cubed in a green sauce versus pork that is tender and stewed in a verde sauce. The rice was drier than I preferred but good flavor. My Buddy liked his carnitas and Al pastor tacos but thought the lengua wasn't as good as the other two tacos. I will probably go again and might try the street tacos which usually comes with onions, cilantro and salsa. read more
