Best Mexican food in Jupiter!! Fresh, hot, and fast takeout!! Will only order from Rancho Chico in the future!

Terrible waitress - brought the wrong order and refused to correct it. The burrito was only filled with lettuce for $17... the waitress finally came by our table 30 minutes after the food was served and I told her I was brought the wrong order and that it only had lettuce. She said the cooks messed up and told me to give her my plate, assuming she would bring me back the right order. When she came back 10 minutes later I asked if they were going to bring my food and she said no because I "ate everything." I picked at less than a quarter of the dish only because it took her 30 minutes to come by our table and and I had assumed I was brought the correct dish initially. read more

Went here on a Thursday night, was really craving some Mexican food & some margaritas. ;) I went around 9 PM and there wasn't a lot of people around, which I liked. Kinda empty to be honest but it is a very spacious restaurant so that could probably be why it felt "empty". I was served nachos and salsa, the norm. Waitress was nice but kinda out of it, I'm guessing she was tired which I completely understand. I ordered the Queso Dip, it's a white cheese dip & it was yummy. As for the margarita, I got a macho mango margarita which is a regular margarita but with an extra shot. The Margs were very strong so I really enjoyed that! it was $8 for a margarita and $2 for the extra shot. I recommend getting mango flavored. I tasted the regular one my friend ordered but it was very bitter. I ordered a combination plate (taco, enchilada and tamale). I tried to order my taco with carne asada (grilled steak) instead of ground beef but apparently that wasn't an option..... even if you paid extra. -_- The prices were reasonable but overall it wasn't really authentic if you ask me. I've been to more authentic tasting restaurants down in Lake Worth. An A-Ok 3 Star restaurant if you ask me. I don't think I'll go back, unless for a margarita. read more

Started eating lunch at Ranch Chico a while back. We used to eat there on a regular basis before the Pandemic. Today I went there and the same lunch that was priced at $9.95 is now $13.50 or a 36% increase in less than a week. I understand the need for a price increase, but to increase your prices by over 35% is ill advised. I won't be going back for a while. The food is OK but not great. I spoke to the manager and he was nice but did not make sense. I think a more reasonable approach would have been to gradually increase your prices over a period of time In order to get to where they wanted to be without running off your customers. Standard Mexican food, inexpensive drinks, large local crowd..... This was our first time here. We live in the area and often pass by. On a few occasions there was a nice crowd and the place looked busy. To me, that's a good sign. The place needs some updating but the ambience was typical Mexican casual. There was a lively group at the bar, mixed ages, and we learned that drinks were very reasonable. They don't have a happy hour; this is their usual pricing. A glass of Kendal Jackson Chardonnay was only $6.25! We were immediately served warm corn chips and a delicious salsa. Since it was so good, we passed on an appetizer and just ordered dinner. My husband and I both ordered the Fajitas. I ordered the shrimp and he ordered the steak variety. There was the usual peppers and onions on a hot skillet with all the sides: rice, beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole and warm corn or flour tortillas. Check my photos. We ordered two vegetarian quesadillas to go and asked for it to be a meal. When we got home, it turned out not to be meal (meaning no rice or beans). And on top of that it was the worst quesadilla we ever had - it had a weird taste, hardly any cheese and it had lots of carrots! And I never had a quesadilla that had carrots. I called the restaurant, spoke to the manager, and he offered no compensation at all....we were just told the vegetarian quesadilla is the only one that doesn't come as a meal - so why don't they tell you that when you order? read more

I am not really a fan of Mexican food, but I enjoyed Rancho Chico. The interior is nicely decorated for an inexpensive place. I had some kind of steak fajita and everything tasted really good. They gave me the choice between corn and flour tortillas - but I thought the wait staff could be a little better. All in all, it was a good place to stop for an inexpensive meal on a road trip. read more

This was our second visit here in a search for a nearby "go to" Mexican restaurant and Rancho Chico isn't it. I never find Mexican much of a dining experience, including a number of trips to Mexico. I think only Chef Rick Bayless believes Mexican can reach great heights. To me it's all brown and tastes damn near the same only with a different wrapper. I ordered a beef Chimichanga served with, not surprisingly beans and rice. This Chimichanga was soft and covered with sauce. Maybe it wasn't a Chimichanga but who could tell? I always thought they were fried and crisp. My sister-in-law's platter arrived without the ubiquitous beans and rice and the waiter had to have her point out on the menu that it was included. He brought out a large order quickly and we "dined" in the nearly empty restaurant on a Saturday night. The bill arrived with an extra charge of $3.50 for the beans & rice which we pointed out to the waiter. He took the bill and returned quickly stating "I'll have to let the manager know about that", and nothing had changed, the bill still reflected the additional charge. My guess is, given the B&R side order size, he ordered a la carte through the computer POP rather than go in the kitchen and have the cook just make a quick side dish. Lacking patience and suspecting I was dealing with a "spacey" waiter I circled the extra charge, deducted it from the tip, and wrote a note suggesting he get the balance from the manager. I went in expecting an average Mexican restaurant, and it met up with my expectations. Firstly, the staple crop of Mexican restaurants (chips and salsa) tasted mediocre. Nothing above the average. I ordered a combination (#10 I believe) which was 2 enchiladas filled with fajita-like veggies and Mexican rice and beans on the side. The enchiladas tasted pretty good (were also nice and piping hot) but were nothing expectional. The Mexican rice was okay but could have used more seasoning. The beans tasted average too. The service was pretty average too. All that said and done, the reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 3 is because of the queso. Everything seems average until I tried some of their special queso. The cheesy taste in my mouth with a warm tortilla chip was just plain delicious. Conclusion: this is your average Mexican restaurant. But if you go there, definitely try the queso. read more

The waiter took my phone with the code and then came back and said he needed a code number. However since he took the phone and the code timed out the code was already gone. I tried to download it again but once it is used it is no longer available. For some amazing Mexican food, look no further than low-key and casual Rancho Chico on US 1. Why did it take so long for me to go?! The shrimp platters are amazing with generous portions and the tacos are tasty. Each table gets a heaping basket of tortilla chips and flavorful salsa (one spicy, one not so spicy). We enjoy this place and find consistent quality service tasty food and great Margaritas. We've never been disappointed and find great value here. The flan is dreamy. This is a big place and sometimes loud and crowded but waiting for a table has never taken more than 10 minutes. I wouldn't take my foodie out-of-town guests here on our one night out but I'd take my family and friends and neighbor and employees and my hungry self. I can't really recommend any particular dishes and I've tried a variety and found them all to be exactly as expected. No disappointing dishes or experiences. read more

The employees are both rude and nice, but to be honest I ordered a burrito and it was horrible there was a hair in my food the drink had no taste in it it was horrible. My husband order siete mares and it wasn't even siete mares it had no cilantro there was avocado with it when we didn't order that it was horrible. If you ever come here please don't order the "Super Burrito" neither the so call "Siete Mares" to be honest I just hope no-one comes to this restaurant. I haven't done a Yelp review in a long while but this place deserves more than a 3 so I thought I should weigh in. To begin with, the sauce is some of the best I've had. For lunch I ordered the rancho chimichanga with picadillo and it was huge stuffed with picadillo meat and very good. Salad was included, all for $6.99. read more

I've been going to Rancho Chico for years. Always great. Today I called in an order to go. Just two shredded beef enchiladas. When I went to get them and confirmed the order with Carlos at the bar, he said I ordered beef not shredded beef. Was absolutely annoyed, and kept arguing with me. I told him to forget it, and he said no and stomped off to the kitchen. So even though I wanted to just get out of there I was so uncomfortable, I didn't want them to make two meals and not pay for them. If he'd been slightly nicer I would have offered to get them both and give the other one to my boyfriend. I always order the same thing, and my teenager heard me order. read more

Really bad food. The 'host' said that they had to seat me far in the back of an empty restaurant because the other waiter was overwhelmed with customers. When I looked, the other waiter had four tables, and didnt seem overwhelmed at all. the host then said they were very very busy and were going to be slow in serving me if I didnt sit at that dark solitary table. I chose not to stay for obvious reasons. this is not the first time that I've had questionable and strange service at this restaurant. I can't recommend it. read more

I never knew how crappy the food is and how expensive a Golden Margarita is ( $10 ) until I had a chance to try the food at Chili's. I haven't seen prices like that soince hanging out at the airport. Chili's side of guac is twice as much for the same price, about 5 bucks. The chips were cold and not as delectable as Chili's. If you need to use the restroom be prepared to be a contortionist and bring a flashlight I don't think they paid the light bill for the bathroom. you'll see!!! read more

I first saw this restaurant on our way to the hotel the first day we arrived. We decided to check it out on our third night and I checked Yelp and notice only got three stars and was hesitant at first but then decided we would give it a chance. We were greeted by our server who hardly spoke to us and seemed miserable that she was there. The salsa was brought out to us and it was terrible. It was chunky, it was mostly a lot of cut up onions, water down cilantro, maybe 3 small chunks of tomato. The queso cheese dip was decent. We ordered the chicken fajitas, the plate that had the beans and cheese was super hot and our server did not tell us that the plate was super hot and my daughter burned herself when she went to move the plate. Not happy about that at all! The beans were super runny, like soup, the chicken fajitas had way too much seasoning on it and was over cooked. Guacamole was decent and there are tortillas were somewhat OK. All in all the food was not good and next time will go with my gut when it says 3 stars for a review, in this case the reviews were scary for this establishment. read more

Went to eat at this place on Wednesday around 8 pm. I was by myself and was told to have a seat by the bar. I ordered the beef burrito and it came within10 or 15 minutes The first bite, the meat was like rubber, You could not even chew it. Iwas asked by the young man that picked up my plate if everything was good. I said to him in English thst the meat was like rubber. He just smiled and waIked off. I got my bill and paid it. I asked for the manager and was told he could not be found. I called when I got home and talked to him and said the busboy didnt speak English at all. He did not even say he was sorry and then told me that they didnt need me coming back to eat there, as they were catering tp a tanle of about 20 people. They are what kind of people they need there. I really liked this place. I've eaten here for years and just recently had a very bad experience. I normally order the 2 chimichangas which I think are delicious. The last time I had it, I only ate one and took the other one home for a late night snack. Later on that night, I took it out of the fridge, reheated it and started eating. As I was eating it, I saw something fall out that looked like cracked pepper shell? Upon closer inspection, I noticed the "cracked pepper shell" had legs. Upon closer inspection, I found out it was a cucaracha (roach). I'm so disappointed that this happened because I really enjoy their chimichangas. Sigh. read more

We were visiting the area for a long weekend and looking for some good Mexican. Saw this place on Yelp and gave it a try. Walking in the door, everyone was super friendly. We were sat immediately on a Saturday night. I ordered the Super Burrito with the pork Verde and she ordered the shrimp fajitas. Both were delicious.
