There are also shaded areas, which make it much more comfortable to hang out, especially on warmer days. It's clean, well maintained, and has quickly become one of my favorite dog parks. The parks got ample space, shade, trees, trash bins, pooper scoopers, and 2 water fountains. I'd recommend bringing your own water as my dog has gotten sick from drinking the fountain water twice now. Please clean up after your pet, keep an eye on them, and just be a responsible pet parent. The dog park isn't a daycare for your animal to just do as they please and not be corrected. I've seen a few dogs get into fights because 1 owner wasn't being responsible. Take accountability and look after your own damn animal. Don't be the reason or person that ruins the park for others. :)

There are metal benches for humans to sit on. I have two 6-month old German Shepherd Dogs that need socialization. I've now taken them to this park several times. I like that there are two large sections, one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. Mature trees and a hard-top canopy provide for shade. My dogs are all fully vaccinated; I only hope the other dogs visiting are, too. I've been there in the morning and also early evening. This dog park is part of Tompkins Park, where a half-mile paved path finishes my visit with the dogs as they get used to the sights and sounds and smells of other people, kids and dogs of all breeds. The fenced-in area is visible from Buffalo Soldier Boulevard, the main thruway on the town's west side. The water fountains inside the dog park have been turned off during this covid pandemic, and visitors are bringing their own water jugs and leaving left-over water behind. There are also poop bags that I wish more dog owners would use, as my one complaint is that not all dog owners make use of this convenience. Also, recently some dogs have been digging holes that the owners leave exposed for people to trip over. While lights come on at night along the paved fitness path, the dogpark itself remains dark. It's therefore recommended to only visit during daylight hours. The park's parking lot is on the opposite end of this park, but people can also park in the cul-de-sac on the park's north end , off S Savanna Drive.

They have a large dog park including a separate area for small dogs that was very well kept. There's some seating area and water for the doggies. The community here is friendly too. After a few laps around the dog park, we walked the trail around the park. This was nice aside from the rattlesnake near the path -- yikes! Luckily it was early morning enough that I don't think it would have really done any harm but definitely keep an eye out if you go. The park is cute too with a large children's play area. There's something for everyone and even in the hot summer months there was a good crowd here.

Only a few people on the small god side but everyone was friendly. I was able to eat dinner with my family at one of the tables there while my dog got to explore. I'll definitely be bringing everyone here often. My only gripe is that I wish there was grass but it's not a big deal, just don't go while it's raining.
