On the menu it says "The best Mexican place in winder"... and I think they may be right! The horchata is AMAZING I actually was quite disappointed with the mango agua fresca. The queso dip with the chopped jalapeños was delicious! My boyfriend got a steak fajita, there's not much roam for failure when it comes to a fajita. They executed it perfectly! I can't exactly remember the name of the plate I got but it was a chile relleno with Shrimp, mushroom, and cheese wrapped with steak. The dish had all the flavors there with the perfect bit of spice as well. It was a bit messy eating but it could of been the way I came at it. The service here is always great! No complaints (: and I loved how she brought us 2 dips!!

Let me preface this review that we came in as a family of 7 with 3 boys under the age of 5. Thankfully, the fully enclosed porch was wide open and it was a great space for the boys to "let loose" and be boys. Based on the amount of chips that were in the floor, they did just that. The server took it all in stride and was kind and helpful throughout. Food came out very fast and OMG...it was great!! My pina colada, served in an actual pineapple rind, was the bomb. The guacamole, dare I say, might be the best I've ever had and I have it pretty much at every Mexican restaurant I go to. Chunky, flavorful and FRESH!! Ordered street corn as a side. We split it because we all wanted to try it and it was very good. I had the tamales which were really good. Lots of food. Hubby had shrimp tacos, as usual, and he says the tacos were a 7. Overall, the service, the quality of food and drinks- I give this place a solid 9. We will be back

We came in on a Friday evening at 6PM. We were able to get a table on the rooftop with no reservations and were seated right away. I can't remember our server's name, but she was the cutest and sweetest person ever. She did an amazing job serving us. The chips and salsa were complimentary and was very delicious. The chips were thick which is a major plus. I ordered a texana frozen mango margarita....Wow!!! This place does well with drinks!! Their menu is a little similar to El Reals. I ordered the Cantina bowl with chicken. It was good. I had a great dining experience and would definitely come again.

Fun atmosphere with solid fare, the specialty rice 3 way is our new favorite Mexican comfort food! Bathed in cheese and full of savory meat you should definitely try it! The street corn was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the carnitas bowl was solid. Unfortunately the fried cheesecake was a disappointment being served still frozen in the middle. Service was good but both refills on water or chips/salsa which cost them a star. Parking lot is packed on Friday nights with a 30min plus wait time so plan ahead!

Nice evening to dine in the patio. The food was spot on delicious. Friendly service. Enjoyed their thick chips, salsa and guac. Be ready to fill up.

So, we decided grab dinner one week after our last visit, just to test the system. We ordered the chunky guacamole which is so fresh and delish! A Fajita bowl, Chicken quesadilla, Three Way burrito, and Chili Relleno with beef and queso over the top. Everything was great for round two! We always have to go back for a second visit to see if it was really as good as the first visit. Ranch Viejo passed the test! This is a great spot for your Mexican craving. We are putting this place on the rotation!

It's really a shame the service is so bad, because the food is good. Server took our order and delivered our check. No water or tea refills while we were eating. Never came by to see if we needed anything. She hung out at the hostess stand the entire time talking to the manager. What's the point of making the manager aware, when he was involved? The restaurant was not busy. We like the food, but refuse to go back and deal with the poor service again.

This is the second time I've come through the drive-thru and my order has been completely wrong. Items are either missing, rung up incorrectly, or I'm handed an entirely different order. Each time, I've had to stop and check every single item before leaving because there's no confidence that the order is accurate. As a customer using the drive-thru for convenience, this defeats the purpose. It turns what should be a quick stop into a stressful process of double-checking everything before pulling away. I hope the team can improve their order accuracy because the repeated mistakes make it difficult to rely on this location.

We are regulars through delivery and their drive thru and they live up to their name. They are always super speedy and the food is always stellar. It's hot, fresh, and oh so tasty! We've dined in a few times as well. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff is great! I love the salsa bar and the way they have their drinks set up. If you haven't tried Jamaica (hibiscus tea) I highly recommend. Also their horchata is delicious, my fav that I've ever tried. We've had everything from carne asada and the pastor in varying ways (burrito, torta, etc), to chilaquiles, to the chicken soup. Everything is always delicious. If you're in Winder check them out. There may be a line but they will get to you quickly and it's worth it.

I have been a fan of their carnitas since my very first visit almost 10 years ago and it's still the dish I will order 80% of the time... either as a meal or as a bowl. My wife almost always gets a veggie burrito or chimichanga and we definitely ALWAYS get their chicken taquitos either by themselves or as part of the sampler plate. They've had a few fails over the year, like a few occasions when the taquitos were served cold in the center or when the carnitas over a bed of onions came out waaaay too overcooked and dry. But by and large they have always given us an excellent, clean and consistent dining experience with wonderful servers. To their credit, I don't think we've ever had an issue with any server in all of the years we've been patrons. NOTE: The times they got it wrong were always corrected when I spoke up. The sweet tea here is some of my favorite in all the south (except for this last visit) and also their frozen piña colada is my third favorite ever, with the first being one I had on a random beach in Costa Rica many years ago and the second favorite being at Pepper's Cantina in Panama City, Florida. I don't personally believe their current 3.7 rating is accurate (should be higher), but then again my loyalty might be making my opinion bias. However, any local will tell you this location is packed regularly and is almost impossible to get in on weekends without a significant wait time. Get the carnitas, burrito, sampler, three way cheese dip and a frozen piña colada or sweet tea.

The only drawback for us was the wait for our server to come back to take our dinner orders. We were relieved when our orders were taken. However, this was short-lived. We then waited close to 30mins before our dinners arrived. The wait(s) were exorbitant. However, the meals were delicious, our server was polite, so we will try this eatery again.
