Met a friend here for lunch on this side of town so thought we would give it a try and we're happy we did. I wanted the margarita and they had great margaritas and service while we looked at the menu. The drinks came out quick, the chips and salsa we're spot on and I tried the street tacos, which were all fantastic, and my buddy got the enchilada Mole which was one of the best I've had lately!. My phone died before I went in so I didn't get pictures but super satisfied, great service, great drinks, and very impressed with the food. Highly recommend. !! read more

If the food wasn't good I'd still come back because of the awesome service! I literally swerved into the parking lot because we were actually headed somewhere else but saw this place. We wanted to try somewhere we haven't been and we were not disappointed! Upon entering we were greeted so genuinely and told to sit wherever. Chips and TWO types of salsa were introduced right after we found our seats. My husband was really raving about the more opaque salsa. I preferred the original. Drink orders placed. Mondays and Wednesdays 2.49 16oz beers and margaritas. Being a Monday I couldn't resist the great price even though it was only 11am. LOL Choice of frozen or on the rockshl house margaritas. I originally chose frozen but being that it was still the beginning of service the frozen margaritas weren't frozen yet, I went ahead and opt for on the rocks. No biggie. I orders two entrées off the lunch menu and my husband, two entrées off the regular menu. This would be a book if I were to write about everything but our favorite was definitely the tilapia dish my husband ordered. You could tell the tilapia is frozen but the sauce and extra ingredients helped enhance the seafood and it weny perfectly with rice. Portion sizes were generous. I wouldn't recommend the lunch special #6 though. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again.. While enjoying our food our waiter offered a complimentary half glass of the frozen margarita for me to try to see "which one I like better". That took our experience from 100 to 200! I honestly wasn't even bothered about not getting a frozen margarita but our waiter went out his way to make sure I had one anyway. Love that! Genuine kindness and over the top customer service. We will be back and will definitely be recommending. Came happy and left even happier! read more

My mother recently moved to the Winder area from south Texas. She asked her nurse at Braselton hospital where the best Mexican food was in the Winder area and he recommended El Cazuelon and we're happy he did!! We ate there 4/1/24 at 5:00 PM. What a great, family owned establishment with friendly staff, clean and comfortable dining area, an extensive menu, and pretty incredible, complimentary tortilla chips and 2 different table salsas; all excellent, fresh and flavorful. Mom and I enjoy basic fare, she ordered 1 cheese enchilada and a side of rice, and I got the combination #1, with a crispy beef taco, a choice of rice or beans, I went with the rice, and 1 beef enchilada and 1 cheese enchilada. Also had a sweet tea and Coke Zero. Their sweet tea is incredible, very fresh, well made, Ice cold and perfect. My soda was crisp, bubbly and with just the right ratio of syrup. Our server Henry was prompt and kept our drinks topped off. Salsa was tasty, cold, chips warm and fresh, their orange colored chipotle salsa is fantastic. The crispy beef taco was very well seasoned, shell was fresh, lettuce crisp, with hefty amounts of shredded white cheese. The enchiladas sported thin and tender, soft corn tortillas, and the white cheese and beef fillings were hot and amply filled. We both really enjoyed their enchilada sauce. Mother even said next time she may need a side of enchilada sauce it was so good. A gentleman was at their extensive bar and was enjoying one of their many on tap beers. He noted the beer was ice cold and delicious. Their menu is very extensive and they had many great looking mixed drinks and margaritas we will have to try when we visit again. Good evening, first time I visited this place on the recommendation of a friend. Upon entering the place, the strong smell coming from the bathrooms was disgusting. I pointed it out to our waitress, who ignored us. We didn't want to leave, so I ignored the smell. The food is delicious. The only good thing about this place. leave him a tip and that's why he looked at us in a rude way. The only thing we can rescue from this place is its delicious food. I was SO disappointed today at the Winder location. Evidently they opened another restaurant and took their cooks over to cook leaving behind cooks who are were not up to the same standards. The usually moderate to hot salsa had absolutely NO heat, they had none of the other salsa we love. The food was sub par and it took about an hour for our food to arrive. We have been eating here each Sunday for months amd loved it. My friend ordered guacamole and it had no flavor except jalapeño. I felt so bad for the hard working waitresses who were working hard to keep up. I think they must have pulled some waitresses to work at the other place. Margaritas tasted like orange juice with no tequila. I was embarrassed we had invited friends. Not sure we will go back. read more

I thought because this place had a 5star rating this was going to really be awesome. If your Spanish you know this ain't it.. there was five of us eating and everyone had something negative to say about their meal.. I'm not going to break down every dish but again no one was impressed. That's just the food aspect which to me is 75-80% of the experience. The decor was nothing to write about so I leave that there. The service was horrible very inattentive sometimes the food can be okay but with some good service it will definitely help out or balance the dinning experience but both were equally not to industry standards to say the least... not 5star, noway this rating was given by people who know Spanish food. read more

We ordered the "Special Fajita" and it had Carmita, Chicken, Pork, and Shrimp.cooked with onions, and bell pepper Plus a plate with rice, sour cream. Mexican guacamole, refried beans pico de Gallo. But, enter and you are taken into your own environment of friendly employees and amazing food. The drinks are on point - Mags and a Long Island served up potent and well mixed. Our usual favorite place for Mexican cuisine was packed to the brim, and we'd spotted this one on our way. It's small and in a spot easily looked over - we never even really saw that it was a restaurant! But I must say, we have found a hidden gem. I am VERY picky about my Mexican food, and El Cazuelon didn't miss! The salsa is really good, but the smoky salsa is a whole new ball game. My husband ordered a fish taco which he savoured every bite of, and then had the pollo a la pina - chicken covered with pineapple and chihuahua cheese. I ordered the enchiladas de mole, and one bite had me closing my eyes in awe of its deliciousness. The mole sauce is off the charts, so incredibly good. We also had a piece of Tres Leches cake and it was delightful. The service was exceptional; our server was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. We might have a new favorite place. We took a chance trying something new and we're so glad we did. Can't wait to go back! read more

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant you'll find in a 50 mile radius. All the other Mexican restaurants in winder are americanized and just nasty. Give this place a shot if you actually want to try true Mexican food! When I go in I ask for ceviche pescado even tho they don't serve it and they make it specially for me! Little tip tho for this restaurant if you're reading this! Please add ceviche to your menu! There's no other place around here that sells it! read more
