I went into Randall's a few days ago after calling to see if they had any availability to look at my car, eventually they did. Although I did not get any services at this shop they were honest with me about what they could and couldn't do, they did give me some recommendations of what to do and where to start and some estimates if I didn't to go with them. They also gave me a note for my employer in regards to the condition of my car! They seem like a very reputable place, if I need services in the future that they can accommodate I would definitely consider going to their shop. The workers were very pleasant, knowledgeable and didn't make me feel awkward in any way! I was lucky. The first time I needed an inspection (South Carolina transplant here), I didn't really know where to go. So I old-school yellow pages'd it and found Randall's. I have returned to Randall's now for nearly 15 years because I have never had a bad customer experience there. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and are so honest with you. They're a business for sure but they never try to upsell or overcharge you. I've compared their prices for years, and they have remained competitive. So everything else is gravy, and it's a lot. I trust Randall's for every single service and maintenance need for every vehicle I've owned in NC (1 sedan and 2 SUVs). And if they ever run into something they can't fix or believe you should bounce to another spot for a fix, they honestly tell you and reco great places. The place is clean, the work flow orderly, and the vibe is remarkably positive. Randall's is no longer a small, independent business. Their prices have skyrocketed, and apparently they are no longer forthcoming with their fees. I scheduled an appointment to have four tires installed that I purchased online. After installation, the sales person asked me if I had been notified of the "standard charge" for mounting customer supplied tires. I had not been made aware of this. The bill was over $217 for mounting four tires on steel wheels. We will no longer be bringing any of our vehicles back to Randall's. read more

My wife, who has been taking her car to Randall's for a few years, swears by them, and I am now in a position to second her positive assessment. I called early on a Monday afternoon to report a possible tire leak or tear, and Robert said they'd be able to take a look that day. When I brought the car in later that afternoon, they were able to diagnose the problem (an embedded nail) and replace the tire very quickly considering the number of cars they were servicing at the time. Their prices are fair, they come across as knowledgeable and dependable, and their customer service is a definite strength. Wonderful company! I live on the other side of town and I still drive to Randall's. Asked for a quote on a Sunday night through their website and was astonished to get a response from Randall himself that night via text which was my preferred contact method. He gave several options and even booked my appointment that night. I was super pleased with the installation of my tires. I was in and out in about an hour and a half. This place is great! The motor for my AC was broken and naturally in NC summer this was a bit of an emergency in my book. I called around to 3-4 other places before contacting Randall's. Not only could they fix the problem today, they were also the most affordable and had the best customer service! We had to stop here to get a flat tire repaired. The tire was unable to be fixed. Mr. Myers found a used tire with the same amount of tread wear as the rest of the tires. It was placed on the SUV promptly and at a great price. We were able to get to the show that we were attending in Greensboro and got home safely to Durham NC. NEW WHEELS SCRATCHED?! I took four new Dick Cepek DC-2 rims to Randels Tire "Pros" for them to mount four new BFGs (purchased from them) on and put on the truck.* The wheels were still in the box!* When I picked my truck up every rim was scratched. It looked like they used a crowbar to get the tires on. They would ONLY pay for 2 new wheels (instead of all 4). I had to take a day off work to get everything straightened out, made 3 different trips (it's 15miles from my house) and the OWNER himself only gave me $20 for the mounting fee and "for my trouble", apologized then walked away mid conversation. I then had to go to a different tire place to get the new rims mounted, costing me $60 and another 2hrs of my time. Tire"pros" shouldn't scratch rims. Worst service I've had had will never, ever deal with them again! read more

They could not find the right part to fix it, so they didn't charge me a penny. They are a company of integrity. I have used Randall's for over 10 years and they continue to surprise me with their problem solving skills. My 07 Suburban (174,000+ miles) had been displaying multiple diagnostic warning lights. (check Engine, StabiliTrak,-steady light-Flashing light, Tow/Haul mode light), but then the lights would stop showing, only to show up again later.This went on for weeks, Then the engine began to run rough while the lights displayed, Now I was really getting nervous. By the way, I have never towed anything (so why the Tow/Haul lamp?) Internet research and people I spoke with indicated that I had an electronic problem that only a GM dealer with the proper equipment could solve. All warned that I should be ready to spend anywhere from $1,000 to $4,500, plus, count on having to rent a car for a week or more while the work is being done! But, I went to Randall's instead. That afternoon, Randall called and said the work wasn't finished but the car was safe to drive if I had no other way to get home. I appreciated the concern but made other arrangements so Randall's could keep it overnight. By noon the following day it was finished. I spoke with Tony (the Technician). He had analysed and corrected the problem with spark plug replacement and had discovered a small oil seepage was most likely fouling the circuit causing the mixed signals. My cost? A little over $300! But did it solve the Problem? You Bet! Since the repairs two weeks ago and over 1,100 miles later I've enjoyed a smooth running engine and NO WARNING LIGHTS ! I have even left engine idling on purpose (which often had triggered the warning indicator lamps) and still no problems! Like I said before, Randall's Team continues to show me they have the skills and know-how to tackle any problem. They all take pride in the work they do.
