I don't shop in Randall's, but due to area I was in, I had to go there quite a few times and I like the store. It's spacious and not crowded, have everything I needed. I really recommend their bagels. Fresh, tasty. Also, Christmas items in clearance were very inexpensive and I found a few great decorative items and baking stuff. They have Starbucks which makes it so convenient. Coffee tasted somewhat old, but barista was very accommodating and brewed a fresh one. Definitely want to go back to shop. read more

I have started shopping online and doing curbside more for Randall's because their coupons and deals are great. However this particular sale as they had a coupon for the propane gas and the app told me they had them in stock. While checking out I was advices they may not have any and I was a little taken aback because I checked the app prior to coming. The manager or lady at customer service actually took the time to go outside and check to see if they had any and found one and helped me with my purchase. I appreciate customer service and that was going beyond and above. I know sometimes the websites or apps don't match the inventory and I honestly didn't feel like driving to cedar park to check so thank you again for checking for us. I always enjoy shopping his location because it is clean, well stocked and organized but I've never had bad customer service. My produce and meats from here are great too!! read more

They've got very competitive prices when there's a sale. The location is always clean and organized. I love their friend and roasted chicken in the hot foods section of their deli. Though word of advice, be cautious - they have a young worker that sometimes doesn't lay attention to what they're getting. The bakery items and meat dept. are exceptional! Shopping at this Randalls location frequently, (for many months now), I notice they are short employees. A shortage of checkout personnel and obviously grocery baggers. I usually have to bag my own groceries. Recently, there was not even an employee working at the customer service counter to assist me. I looked around and asked the checker regarding customer service, I was told customer service was at lunch and would be back in about 5 minutes or so. I waited a couple of moments for customer service, then I decided to go to an H.E.B store customer service and to finish my grocery shopping at H.E.B. I always look around and I do not observe anyone who "appears" to be in charge such as a "store manager", etc. I see "no one" attempting to monitor the check out lines to assure the customer shopping experience goes smoothly. On many occasions, there is only one check out line that is open with a long line of customers. Each time I have observed a check out employee (with the long line of customers) doing the very best they can and trying extra hard to deal with the situation and staying positive. I've always liked this location. Well most Randall's to be honest. It is not my go to everyday grocery shopping unless it's the holidays. Because there are a lot fewer customers than say HEB. This store used to be top-notch back in maybe 2008 since that time it is gone down down and down we're like nobody cares to the grouchy person always working the chicken deli counter who won't give you the pieces you want messes up your order every time and questions he can't exchange a wing for a breast or vice versa and I would pay extra but now he says he can't do it. He can't make exceptions. Yes, you can. Anyway, this store is always out of stock of items that put in its ad. You gotta be careful because when they do a buy one get one free or buy two get two free you should always ring it up separately and make sure you get the discounts their ads are very tricky when somethings on sale they'll jack it up to full retail and you think you have a savings or not that stupid are we . Nobody's in dress code you don't know who works there. You never get in the high welcome to Randalls. You basically get no customer service at all. It's pretty much a free-for-all and this is why H-E-B will soon be the dominant one and Randalls will be gone just like everything else Even sometimes Walmart is better. Coming from California we had Vons Pavilion Albertsons, Ralph's Stater Brothers all good supermarkets. Why aren't they here in Texas? Why do we have just H-E-B dominating anyway? I have always enjoyed shopping at Randall's over HEB. I like being able to purchase name brand items. HEB has a few name brands still but one must climb to the top most shelf or lie down on the floor to check if they may be hidden on the lowest shelf. What prompted me to write this review was to give praise to one of the managers. His name is Brandon and he is in charge of Customer Service (and probably much more of the store). He was able to fix a frustrating error for me when other staff members claimed they could not. Brandon did this with the courtesy, efficiency, and sensibility that we were accustomed to back in the day. I see a bright future in upper management for him. Much appreciated! read more

Update: 10 days since I directly notified Randall's HQ. No response yet. Last year, I came in and 4 out of 5 employees were wearing their mask below their nose. When I calmly and politely pressed the issue with the manager, he told me I was rude. Today I reluctantly returned to find the same manager checking out customers with his mask down again. Meanwhile, another customer stood in line with no mask on and refused to put one one when I asked. See photos. This store has now repeatedly sent a clear message to customers that COVID-19 precautions are not a priority. What does headquarters plan to do about this? Hopefully something. read more

I love Randalls! I recently moved and this is my new Randalls. This is a bigger store than some other Randalls in Austin. I love my Randalls butcher: Orlando, Andrew, Jay R, and another young man that I did not get his name. My butchers will custom cut steaks for me. The best quality meats than any other grocery store. Normally, I would give Randalls 5 stars, but this location some of the other items I would buy .... fruits, veggies, eggs are not as fresh as other Randalls locations. read more

So, today I went in on a small grocery run at like 8:30 in the morning. As I was checking out, a cashier named Evone was helping someone check out and she asked him if he had checked his eggs to make sure that none were broken. She then checked for him and confirmed it was all good. Cashiers are often nice because they have to be to survive in the business, but seeing that really showed an extra level of care and consideration for a customer as a person, and not just a number. It was nice to see someone who cares for other people, especially for it being so early in the morning when most people haven't even had their coffee yet. read more

Randalls has been so helpful during the pandemic. Their drive up and go grocery pickup always has convenient times available. Randall's just has good stuff. Unique products you don't find at other grocery stores. Their associates are kind and get to know your shopping patterns. An example was I got a call because I said no subs but they were out of the flavor of sparkling water I ordered. I have been shopping at this store since it opened, I went in today and wanted to get something from the deli there was an older guy behind the counter fooling around while I was standing there I thought he was coming over to help me but No he walked into the back room so I walked away. I came back over once I saw a younger guy walk over to help another man that walked over after I started my way back over to the deli, well he helped that guy and walked away I was standing right there. Shopped at Randall's for years. I like many of the items that H-E-B doesn't carry. The shopping experience is more laid back. However, their prices have gotten out of control. They don't run as many sales as they used to or offer good rewards ($off) coupons on their loyalty app. I started checking their prices vs HEB and they run 20% to 30% higher at Randall's. I love their app. They have great sales, coupons and rewards. Always my 1st stop for major shopping. Kudos to Randalls on Gattis School Rd. Randalls's handling of the understandably increased anxiety around getting groceries over the weekend is a great example of how calm, informed, proactive leadership can make such a positive difference. I went there this afternoon and the line moved quickly for checkout. The atmosphere was calm and courteous ( way to go Texans! ). There were some sold-out items but I was able to get all the things we really NEEDED ( fruits, vegetables & meats ) to have and a lot more than I thought we would be able to buy. I told several Randall employees how much we appreciated their handling of this and also all the hard work they're putting in helping us all out. They really appreciated hearing that! 4 times shopping there over a couple of years and EVERY time I've been there, they've screwed me on the reciept! I love a bargain, so anything with a coupon, or "sale" name is where they screw you. Also, they don't carry juice in the "frozen juice" Isle, and apparently they don't carry any frozen OJ at all! They're extremely expensive, and they're wine prices are horrible! They're simply a very expensive Safeway union shop full of employees who cost them millions a year, so they have to screw the customers to make it up. Also, I went there on a weekday night around 7:30 pm and there were about 10 people in the whole store. I go across the freeway to that nice HEB at 45 and Greenlawn about 1 mile away, and it's packed! I wonder why? That was a snide rhetorical question for you Darwin Award winners. read more

Check dates on everything. I've never shopped a store where i come across grossly expired items every single time. I was sticking it out because it's less crowded but I'm over it. I can no longer even say the pharmacy is good. We've cut them some slack over the years because their staff was always so helpful. Today we needed one (1) pill prior to a short-notice procedure. Our Dr.'s office was admittedly slow in getting the order to the pharmacy, so that by the time it got there, we only had an hour until the procedure--about the amount of time needed for the med to take effect. We were told we'd need to wait 20-25 minutes, but when we said we needed it faster, the tech said "well, we just got it and we need time to type the label. It'll be 15 minutes. Twenty five minutes later, during which only one drive-thru and one walk-in pick-up appeared, and after watching her and the pharmacist fill several prescriptions presumably for later pickup, I told her to forget it, that we would just need to reschedule the procedure. "Oh, but it's ready now". If there had been people waiting, I would have understood, but to me, this was just attitude. I don't like the Randall's shopping experience enough to justify staying with their pharmacy anymore, so I've switched our stuff elsewhere. read more

Randalls is also known as Vons in Nevada and California. So, I was happy to find this out that they had the Signature Café sandwiches here also! I came in here to order my favorite sandwich and not one but 2 places in the store: 1) by the soup 2) by the sandwiches You can add a cup of soup to your sandwich as a combo for a $1 extra. boom deal. I got my cup of small soup and headed over. I was charged an extra $2.50 for my soup. I questioned the cashier - she said no, its a $1 off. um no. but she was unmoved. I felt like grabbing the sign since the store was bare that early in the day but I just decided to pay and move. She was already so put out from having to actually cash me out. The sandwich guy seemed put out by having to make a sandwich. Such a pretty and clean pristine store and such lazy and angry put-out employees. And that's why HEB runs this town! I called the bakery a few days before Christmas and ordered a red velvet cake to have a fun Happy Birthday Jesus party for our little granddaughters. The lady on the phone said she'd be happy to fix one up for me because I didn't really know what to request besides the wording. As you can see, it's so cute.
