I've been a loyal customer of Randazzo's for 7+ years, and will continue to be for many many to come. Their friendly employees, quality of all food items and overall commitment to customer satisfaction makes me return day after day. No- literally, I'm in here nearly everyday! Just look at my check in record. Last nite I grabbed a pizza for me and my husband to enjoy for dinner. It was a split second decision and probably the best one made in a while. I asked Destiny, who works the pizza department to box up 1/2 of the pepperoni and 1/2 of the mushroom pizza. I ran through the store and grabbed a few other items and checked out. It took me all of less then 10 minutes. I went to pizza counter and asked for my pizza. Destiny said he's boxing it up now, confused looked on face, she replied boss made you a fresh pie. Nice! Got it home and WOW! Big slices of fresh mushrooms. Meaty and cooked perfectly in wood oven, with bite to them still. The earthiness was a flavor I've never tasted before, combined with the cheese- blew my taste buds away. This may seem like an exaggerated description, but get a Mushroom pizza from them and experience it yourself. It's something special for certain. The pepperoni side was equally as good. Loaded with little old world pepperoni, the kind that cup up when they are cooked. The charred crust, that had small spots of black, was watched over like a hawk and turned evenly while I that 800* oven- it was perfect. I can't believe this was the 1st time I've had one of their made to order pizza. All these years missing out! It's a great price too. Cheese only for $9.99, 2 toppings for $10.99, or unlimited toppings for $11.99. They sell singles slices too and always for a few pies to chose from. A must try for certain! read more

We are fortunate to have this market so close to home. They have a great selection of produce, a bakery, an olive bar, and a deli counter. Then there is another area that has meat and seafood. But the best is the hot food bar. They really have some very well-made items where you can select an entrée and two sides for a set price and take them home for dinner. This is excellent for someone who wants a home-cooked meal but doesn't cook. My husband and I have tried a few of the items from this bar and they were delicious. The market has a very nice wine selection with a wine expert on hand to help you with your selection. There is a gelato and pizza area, and lots of unique treats to purchase here. read more

My husband visited this location because he was on dinner duty...after walking around a bit, he decided to purchase pizza by the slice for the family that evening. When he told the woman behind the counter that he wanted all the pieces she became visibly upset. My husband told her she looked very upset that he was purchasing all the slices and she replied that yes, she was, and that now they had to make another pizza, and that THIS pizza was reserved for people buying it BY THE SLICE, and that he should have pre-ordered his pizza. She then yelled back to someone with a rude irritated tone that they needed to make ANOTHER pizza because someone just came and bought the whole pizza he just made. This was wrong on so many levels, I'm not even sure where to begin. This girl should be very thankful that it wasn't ME...because I would have blown a total gasket. If we are willing to pay the PER SLICE price for the pizza, it should not matter whether we purchase 1 slice or 20 slices. I did call and spoke with the Manager who was very surprised because this same woman had just been named employee of the month...he did say he would go talk to her right away, and offered me a free pizza...but I told him I wasn't interested in a free pizza, and just wanted him to know what was happening...there are far too many fresh markets in the area for any customer to be treated that way. I'm happy to patron Nino's or Vince & Joe's instead...I know service there will always be stellar. read more

I went to Randozzo's July 29th to pick up 3 pizzas. The pizza is usually good because the ingredients are fresh and they use real cheese. I have to admit, the pizza last night was sub-par. The ingredients seemed flat and half of one pizza was burned to a point that no one ate the pieces when I got the pizzas home. Seems like pizza for Randazzo is an after thought. They do such a great job in other areas of their store, wish the consistency would show up in their pizza making efforts. read more

Been going to this store about 11 years. Decided to take some raspberry thumbprint cookies a get together. Was really embarrassed that 75% of them were burnt. One of the best round thin crust pizzas in the area. Baked in a 900 degree oven with wood from Blake's orchard. Many topping choices that are not available at a chain pizza place. Love this local Italian centric market. Whether it's fresh produce, top notch fresh seafood meats, a bottle of wine, or fresh stone oven baked Italian pizza - this place does a solid job! It is like a medium-small size grocery store crossed with delicatessen & bakery. Pricing is all fair to competitive. My wife often gets the veggies and fruits we need for a couple weeks worth for well under $30. Meats/seafood tend to run a little higher, but are of better quality and freshness. Also, there is almost always a couple doorbuster advertised on the sign outside, usually a meat and produce item. It's a solid go to market and when you only need a handful of veggies, fruits & maybe one meat - it tends to save time versus going inside a large Kroger. There is no liquor, but wine selection is adequate. Beer selection is limited and pricier than the large stores. You can often find house made sushi. Also, the meat area has very tasty restaurant/caterer level supper entrees complete with main dishes and sides all sold by the pound! Their house made racks of ribs are very tasty, better than Costco's & their rotisserie is great too. If you are in the area and want to check out a small but has it all grocer this is your place. But not everything is a good value here. They are not a large bulk purchaser. For the value conscious I would definitely suggest mostly keeping this as a place for produce with the occasional splurge on something else that catches the eye - or stomach. Went in there on Saturday and we were treated horribly by a man named Kenneth who was working at the meat counter. When he got done packaging our shish kabob, he threw it up on the counter and didn't say a word, just glared at us. What a miserable person to employ at your fruit market. I absolutely love this store! Before posting my review I decided to read some of the others because I was certain my review would be the general consensus. I agree with all the fabulous atta boys and accolade's given, but there is one that baffles me and that has to do with the meat department. I have been buying all of my meats at this location since we moved here last November. They have been nothing but courteous, educating and superb in their customer service. We have come to know Kenneth's friendly face and always hope to see him on our visits. I can't imagine the negative review I read could be referring to the "Kenneth"we've experienced? I can't believe I haven't reviewed Randazzo's yet. I love this place. Their produce is always fresh, and when in season, it is a guaranteed better deal here than any other grocers. Some of their farm fresh veggies are grown right in their own backyard...literally! There are umpteen kinds of fresh cheeses to choose from, and walking into their bakery is like taking shelter inside a french baguette, the smell of fresh bread is intoxicating! My husband knows that when I say I'm going to stop here for a minute, he'll only see me an hour and a half later. There's no such thing as a quick trip to Randazzo's! Still have yet to try their brick oven baked pizzas made in house, I'll update after consumption. read more

Amazing produce!! Definitely coming back!! The staff is very friendly. what stand out the most was the cashiers. The cashier that I went to was very friendly and helpful. Her name is Maria. Not sure if there is more than one Maria but she is the one wearing glasses with her hair tied up. she does a great job especially helping me while answering the phone when it rings. It's a treat to stop in here when I am down this way. I always shop for the locally grown produce first and then wander around looking for whatever pops out at me. There's alot of mmmmm and "pop out at me" stuff in this place, especially near the bakery!! A great spot to window shop for something sweet and tasty. I noticed the last time I stopped in that they have an electronic pre-order deli kiosk as you enter the store. I thought this was a great idea for those in a hurry. read more

For its size, this place offers a great selection of fresh food. I happened upon this place looking for another shop and asked my wife about checking it out. She was fine with that and we came out with quite a few groceries. I recently started a health food plan and Randazzo's had plenty of what I needed. I was particularly happy with the meat counters and the willingness of the staff to answer my questions or ask more experienced staff when they were unsure. I got lamb, mahi mahi, steak yellowfin tuna and lots of veggies. I don't live that close and no longer have family in the area but feel like I would come back soon for the selection. Mg hometown has a fee small markets but mostly frozen fish and, without a fishmonger nearby, they have the most reasonably priced fresh fish within 45 minutes of my place. I was happy coming here. Today is the 5th time Ive been to Randazzos over the past few years and it dawned on me "wow, the workers are so unbelievably rude". I then realized I have said that to myself everytime I have walked out of one of their locations. I am an incredibly patient, polite and cheerful person so Im not a shopper that's demanding or obnoxious nor give them a reason to gave attitude with me. So I just dont get it. Its like they trying to be up-market and snooty on purpose. I can understand this happening in New York City, Paris or Milan...but seriously....this is Macomb County people! Get over yourselves. My rule is, if I can buy it at Randazzo's, I do. You get a feeling of relaxation and foodie inspiration the minute you walk in. The produce makes you want to eat healthy, and then the bakery begs you to be decadent. Their desserts are simply not to be believed. This is always my go-to place for anything special for a party or the holidays. My favorite thing is probably the prepared food. My daughter prefers their salmon to any she has ever eaten anywhere, and all of their soups are fantastic. Their selection of meat and seafood is vast and fresh. Lastly, don't miss the pizza. Often when I walk in to shop I stop in front and order a pizza and grab it on the way out. The best in town. read more

Tried to order pizza. Been wanting to try it for YEARS! Finally took the plunge and the lady on the phone had no familiarity with the menu and it took 10 minutes to even put in an order and none of the prices or sizes matched what was on the menu. I finally got an order in barely and went to pick it up. They were under construction so I could not find the pizza area, finally located it and you can no longer pay right out front. You had to wait in line for the main registers and the lines were all the way to the back of the store. Pizza would have been ice cold. I told them forget about it- I am done. Never again. read more

This is one of the best places around to get food! They have so many options. Almost everything you could need in terms of fresh food you can get here. They also have a huge salad bar and a big prepared food section where you can get all types of dinner and lunch food that's already all made. The only thing that frustrates me is most of the time all their berries will be moldy and it takes 10 minutes to find a container with no mold. other than that, it's a great place. read more

I have been coming to this particular Randazzo's since 1992. It used to be my favorite place to go. Today I waited, with my 91 year old father, for 20 minutes to get 1 lb. of prosciutto. There was only one number in front of me. I asked for the manager to discuss why the wait was so long, and as I was speaking to her, my number was called. When I finished discussing with the deli manager, I looked up to see my number was off the screen and the next number was called. When I showed them I had the previous number, a very rude , round faced , young female , deli worker said that I missed my turn because I was speaking to the manager. I really love Randazzo. The vibe and layout of the store just feels warm, welcoming and fresh. I usually shop here to buy fresh meats, seafood and produce. It can get very crowded and sometimes a bit of a cluster as well as a bit pricey, and that's why I can't give it 5 stars. Both negatives are to be expected from a smaller, family owned grocery store so it's not a deal breaker for me. I love their store brand pico de gallo and guacamole! So good. read more

They have a good selection and mostly reasonable prices, but their service leaves a LOT to be desired. Every time I go in, every employee I interact with acts like they are doing me a huge favor at great imposition. Whether I ask them if they carry something and where to find it, or am selecting baked goods or my deli order, even while checking out, everything is done with the most bored, irritated, look on their face, frequent sighs and barely checked eye rolls. I was in the other day, and when my turn came to checkout, the cashier suddenly turns to me and asks me to wait while she takes the customer behind me who'd just walked up!! I handed her my own bag to use, so she put all my groceries in plastic bags and pushed them at me - with my empty bag. ?! Nino's has slightly higher prices on some things, a slightly different inventory, but much better service. Kroger has much better prices, AND better service! I recently moved to the area and was spoiled rotten by my previous butcher who knew my name and my cut of meat and who would call me at home when it was ordered and cut to my speicifications... the joys of small town living :-) I originally went here because I was looking for pepper ham for stromboli I hadn't been able to find at the grocery store deli. I walked inside and lo! and behold, this store has got more specialty Italian items in its small space than I think I've seen anywhere else in the ten years I've lived in Michigan! Anyway, I'm an East Coast girl at heart so this store has more offerings like I'm used to. The chicken and spinach sausage, the wine and pork sausage... a. maz.ing! The bakery area? Eh... I'm a baker in the home so I don't spend much time there, but their bread is pretty fine. LOVE the pasta section with all the offerings of different flavored sauces/gravies and types of pasta/noodles! I usually buy larger quantities of meats and vacuum seal and freeze so I can get the bulk prices, but I've gone in and they've been out of the sale-priced meats quite early in the day with no offer to grind more ground beef, which I find unacceptable. The pork chops we bought were cut rather on the thin side, especially after cooking. The produce section is fabulous! However, their cashiers have continually left a bad taste in my mouth every *single* time I've been there. No "thank you" after I drop a couple hundred bucks? I signed up for the frequent buyer program, but never received an explanation what the heck I was getting out of it or what benefit it is for ME other than I get a flyer now and then to my house. WHY is there a fishbowl of receipts at the exit? Am I supposed to put my receipt in there - what for??? No one has *ever* bothered to explain that to me, but only to scold me that if I don't remember my frequent buyer card "we can't look you up by your phone number, so you better have it with you!" Really???? Rude! They also act all out of joint whenever I bring my own bags in for them to use instead of their plastic sacks - like it's an imposition to save them money and save the environment!?!? I only go here because I can't find some of the things anywhere else and/or I haven't found another butcher shop with better prices or meat. Once I've lived here longer, I expect that'll change because I just can't stand to be treated so rudely by the people who are there to provide service to their customers. FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! Love this store... Jumped in after a workout...and lost it in the bakery section... To die for cakes, pies, cannolis, pasties, cookies...sigh... My friend and I actually cozied up to the coffee bar with our newly bought dreamy cake, and sfogliatelle...which I have been dying to try ever since I heard another yelper Brian S. talk about them.... Perfect Saturday morning. I also walked out with some pumpkin pasta sauce (can't wait to cook that up into an alfredo) and some other goodies.. They have a beautiful meat display, great and unique produce... The best specialty grocery store...and I didn't think the prices were that high. Randazzo's is great, what can I say? Their deli counter is good, their fresh breads are great and the rolls sometimes sell out before I get there after work because they are so popular. Their fresh sushi is, in fact, fresh and yummy. It's the only "store" that I'll buy sushi at. Their meat and seafood section is good and produce is always fresh. Their brick oven pizza is a steal (unlimited toppings) and their gelato is super delicious as well! It's a little pricier than the regular grocery, but you also have a wider variety of specialty items and fresher produce than more normal grocery stores. read more

Good steak and seafood. Expect to wait a long time for the deli. Like their parmesan cheese but sometimes it tends to get moldy in the fridge. Take out food is hit or miss; some taste good and others are too salty or bland. Chili is good! The peaches I bought didn't last too long in my fridge and the inside was discolored. read more
