I didn't see any Oktoberfests so they're not starting early on those. A lot of hard seltzers (ick) and as far as NA beer just your standard offerings from Athletic. Price-wise probably average; two single (but intriguing) 16 oz cans set me back $10. I'll probably come back in a month or so to see updated seasonal offerings, and maybe I'll take a closer look at their wine selections then too.

What I mean to say is you can get a lot done within a short distance: kibble for your cat or dog, oil for your car, and a little something for yourself. I'd say 40% of the store is devoted to beer and wine. Seems like the wine enthusiasts love Rodman's, and they do wine tastings there on occasion. Wine isn't my thing though I'll pick one up if the bottle is pretty. The beer is...beer. Most of it not my style, usually the craft here and elsewhere has too much of an aftertaste. But I digress! What I come here for are the imported foods. Yes, some can be found elsewhere including Giant and Safeway but others are definitely foreign. Stuff from Europe, perhaps a little from Down Under (which bits I forget). There's a nice sampling of chocolate and non-alcoholic drinks, including 'Just ice Tea'. Just mentioning it because there's two or three places I can find it and herbal tea etc. can be a nice alternative to energy drinks. (Those pointing out that I could make my own tea are correct, and that it's cheaper, but beyond the basic put-teabags-in-bottle-and-let-it sit I just don't have the time.) Now on to cheeses: they have a good selection. I feel the price is right, but at the same time if you go to Aldi's (to the right, at the end of the sidewalk) you can find some comparable cheese for $2-$3 less. Don't know if it's worth the walk and waiting in line, though, when you have something here. There are sales here, of course, and if you go by sale alone you may make out like a bandit. Just don't go when you're on a diet or fasting. Too many temptations.

I introduced her to "Baci" Chocolate a candy from Italy, varieties of milk & dark chocolate stuffed w/hazelnuts also on sale. I enjoy them during the holidays. And purchased the milk chocolate version & a salty treat. Well she noticed the dark chocolate display was empty. She asked a store associate if more "Baci" dark chocolate was available? A young man checked inventory & found none. Then he checked some other display & found (2) bags-"Baci" dark chocolate candy. My friend was thrilled & appreciated his diligence. The store is compact and you need to have a keen eye or you might miss something. For me, that is literally part of the charm. Yes, they carry all the standard U.S. made mega producer beers and wines. If you need an E&J cab to help make a pasta sauce - they have you covered. If you are looking for a 2016 Paul Hobbs Cab, this is not the place for that. Here is a recent example of that kind of beer you just are not likely to find everywhere: Delirium Barrel Aged 2022 Ale. There was a strong initial scent of alcohol, followed by enveloping toffee and toasted fruity ale esters. Velvety on the tongue. Definitely a powerful and unique ale. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Roughly $40 per bottle (1 pint 9 oz). Be safe and imbibe well my friends!

Short and sweet, it's all about beer and wine. Not much of a 'winer', but occasionally a beer (India Pale Ale). They have your regular brands plus craft and foreign. Initially, I went here because the only other place I could find Taj Mahal (Choice Wine & Beer) kept them out in the open. Warm. Which I suspect led them to going bad by the time I picked up one or two. When I walked in, they had the Taj's on the chill along with the Coronas, etc. Toward the back end they have Kingfisher along with German beers and your usual suspects. A lot of wine and beer not on chill, but not a problem though since...I only buy what's behind the glass. Not like the place is an inferno during Summer, but still. Aside from that, they have soft drinks and snacks as well as an ATM. The staff is pretty relaxed, never had a problem there. Oh, and they sell lottery tickets as well.
