So far I've tried their plain croissant, quiche Lorraine, and latte. I am in love with their quiche, it's consistently flavorful and the crust is flaky as it should be. My only critique is that sometimes when the staff heat it up the top of it actually burns and makes it taste bitter. Monday 2/24/25 This spot has been on my list for a long time, and now I'm finally trying it. The customer service was good: shoutout to Tyrese for making sure everything went smoothly. For my order I got the crogel bacon and caramelized cabbage $12.90, cinnamon roll $4.90, sweet pumpkin bread $4.10, and the Kouign Amann $4.90. - The crogel sandwich is a hybrid between a croissant and a bagel and is something I had never had or thought existed. The sandwich itself was solid, and it would've been even better if there had been more bacon to match the near $13 price tag. - The cinnamon roll is a croissant-style cinnamon roll, and it was pretty good. A personal favorite of mine and something I'd come back for. - The kouign amann is a croissant-style pastry that's not overly sweet, but it's decent and gets the job done. - The sweet pumpkin bread was alright when you factor in the price and the smaller portion you get, but it's not bad. They truly know how to do breads right. I have never had something I do not loooove from Fresh Baguette, every menu item is fantastic! The Norwegian Crogel is my favorite. I randomly saw the shop this morning after stopped in front of a traffic light area. I saw the sign and i was like ohhh.there's a cafe there. So in the afternoon after work i went back and me and my daughter grabbed a few things. It was on the pricey side, but it was very good. My daughter had a chocolate croissant and i had the crogel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Plus a madeleine. It was all great. My daughter really liked the croissant. It reminded her of Tim Hortons. It was very good and staff greeted us very warmly and patiently waited for us to choose our orders. Who knew a Crogel Sandwich would take me back to a spot I had not been to for some time. Yea, that's right, a Cro'gel and I only recently discovered what that was. A Crogel or Cro'gel (depending on which menu you are looking at) is a cross between a croissant and a bagel. I recently had a meal at Café Sophie in Gaithersburg, MD and ate a Crogel Sandwich and it was so good that I really enjoyed it. One of my friends informed me that the Crogel at Café Sophie was made by Fresh Baguette. So, I decided to go to the place that made it. One weekend morning I decided to visit their Rockville location. I saw there was enough space to park even though I noticed the foot traffic in and out of the business stayed busy. Upon entering the door, I saw bread, pastries, drinks, snacks, croissants, and other items. It took me back to when I first went there. Behind the counter on the wall, I saw where the menu showed five Cro'gel Sandwich choices that included: Sunny Side Up Bacon, Californian, The Pesto, Village and Norwegian. I opted for the Norwegian which is smoked salmon, chive cream cheese, cucumber, and spring mix. I also got an item behind the glass compartment, and it is described as sweet bread made with a mix of pumpkin, bourbon, and cream cheese frosting. Their sign said it was Pumpkin Sweet Bread, but the menu online said Sweet Pumpkin Bread. To me, it's all pastry. I ordered everything to go. Once settled, I noticed the Cro'gel was huge. I had to cut it in quarters to make it more manageable and it was. There was also a little bit more crunch in the breading, but a soft one. The sandwich was quite tasty and fresh (everything was all balanced). I will come back to try another. The pastry was delicious too - I certainly tasted the pumpkin flavor and the frosting was not heavy. The visit was worth it. Visited February 2024. read more

This authentic French bakery is both a boulangerie and patisserie, with a myriad of fresh-baked breads, buttery pastries (kouign-amann, croissants, pan au escargot) and cookies (macarons) and cakes. They also have delicious quiches and sandwiches for lunch fare. The store sell imported French products (boxes of crackers, cookies and jars of spreads). I love their various croissants, la madeleines, and canales. The buttery layers of pastry sheets are so delicate and flaky. What also makes them great are the occasional little contests they hold that give people opportunities to win baguettes or croissants. Love this bakery! It's a little hidden off of 355, but if you know where to look, you won't miss it's bright pink sign! From 355, it's a little hard to see because it's sort of behind other building from the main road. They have this croissant bagel that is delicious!! I enjoy the chicken one more than the salmon, only because it has like Mayo or some kind of sauce. Also I loooove croissants and bagels! So to combine the two, genius! They have chocolate, plain, and Nutella croissants too! Come early because these sell out! They have a ton other tasty pastries to select from too! There's a nice little seating area that gets some sun. So you could always eat outside here as well. Tons of parking available. So happy I found this hidden place. It doesn't look like it has parking but there's plenty hidden on the side. I got a sandwich for lunch and it was much bigger than I expected which is great. I ordered a mango nectar drink, the ham croque monsieur, napoleon pastry, and an almond croissant. Food: -Croque Monsieur - It was my first time having one. I would rank it among one of the best I have ever had. -Almond croissant - I toasted this for breakfast the next morning. There wasn't enough butter or cream so it was slightly dry. -They sell pre-packaged pastries and freshly baked loaves of bread. Service - The staff who took my order was friendly. She asked if I wanted my Croque Monsieur warmed up and if I wanted a carryout bag. Pricing - $26 for my order. On the pricier end for a bakery IMO. It was definitely a splurge for me. It will definitely prepare me for Paris if I ever go. I hear it's expensive there. Seating - There are four 2 seat tables inside and outdoor patio seating. My chair had crumbs on it and I had to wipe it down. Location/Parking- If you see Tapei Cafe which has a red awning, the bakery is tucked behind it. There is ample parking in front of the bakery and to the side. I found a dead mouse in one of the parking spaces. Cringe, I'm surprised I didn't lose my appetite. What a hidden gem! Was pleasantly surprised to find this place. I ordered a mille feuille or "Napoleon" pastry. I've been searching for one ever since my favorite place stopped selling it. The cream was a little too sweet for my liking but I can see myself getting it again. Another thing I loved about this place was that you could buy some French snacks (which I went all out on). It's a little pricey for the pastries but they also come in a pretty hefty serving size. Came across this cute French bakery that is hidden behind the Taipei Cafe. We decided to get an assortment of goodies even though we were full. Authentic casual French pasty shop. I visited on a day with limited front service staff (1 person) but would definitely like to go back when pastries and bread are being baked. Small petite pastries are quite expensive (2.45 each) so I opted for full size: Cherry croissant, croque ham, caneli, lemon meringue tart, fruit juice purée (pear, mango, apricot, one other I forgot). $60 (2024 inflation). It's a small hidden patisserie in Rockville that is almost hidden from the main road. It is hard to see, but if you're looking for it, then it isn't too hard. Once you are there, there should be plenty of parking so do not worry. Most people come here for take out. They do have indoor and outdoor seating for the cafe feeling, but nothing extravagant or beautiful. It is mainly there for convenience. But, a place should be judged by the food offerings and this place delivers. It is a step sweeter than the other French offerings nearby, but the presentation and the taste are solid. If you can stomach the sweetness (which isn't all from sugar), then you'll love this place. The flavors are very prominent and that is a good thing. When you get strawberry, you taste the full flavor. When you get pumpkin, you taste the full flavor.
