Had an issue with no heat, today is Christmas Eve. Called them with little expectation of getting the issue resolved before the Holiday. On all days to have an issue. Jim answered my call for help immediately met me at my house in less than 20 mins from my initial call. Unclogged my filters, did a complete service and got me and my family comfortable again. Only used this place because Oppure Oil (which is actually a good company) has a partnership with them. Definitely a huge mistake, a little red flag went off when I read the name "Random" burner service. This place (which is really one guy) is VERY unprofessional. A couple weeks ago I had scheduled an appointment 1pm today. So today I call them around 12pm to make sure he is still coming because I hadn't heard anything from him. The lady on the phone says "I'll try to call him and have him call you back, but you are still on for 1pm". Ok great, sure enough to no phone call and 1:10pm rolls around so I call her again to make sure he is still coming. "I called him and left a message, he should be calling you back or be there anytime now. She says It's kind of like comcast there is a window, he could be there anytime between 1 and 2pm". Uhhh okay, there was no mention of any window before, and I have other places to be today. But sure I'll wait until 2pm. 2:20pm rolls around, nothing. At this point I am getting pissed off, I call "random" again and get the same lady and ask where he is and said he was supposed to be here at 1pm, there was no mention of a time window before and he is not even in the window now. "Let me call and leave him a message, he should get back to you soon". So I say, Why should I believe that he is going to call me back at this point? In her best robot voice she says "Let me call and leave him a message, he should get back to you soon". Now I am beyond pissed, and I ask her if she understands how unprofessional her company looks right now and that I've had enough of the robotic answers. I tell her that I will be giving an honest negative review on anything I can find online about their company and that he shouldn't even bother coming over at this point. She says "Wait hold on let me try calling him again". By some "miracle" this time she actually gets a hold of him and goes "I got in contact this time, he says he's on his way". So I say ok great, when EXACTLY is he going to be here? "Oh I didn't ask him that.....". I said I have somewhere to be and you need to find out exactly or have him call me directly. She calls him again and he tells her he will be at my house in 5 mins (its 2:45 at this point). He finally gets to my house a little before 3pm and has this stupid upset look on his face. I can tell robot lady has been giving him her version of the story. Anyways he gives a half-ass apology saying he is sorry he is late but things come up at other jobs sometimes. I stop him right there and say look I don't care if you are late but your company should at least be calling to let your customers know you are going to be late or you need to give us a time frame of when you will actually be here. He starts saying that if I need service like that I should use another company. You know where this is going...I tell him we will be using another company and I escort him out of my house. He said this is the way they run their business and I told him he is free to run his business whatever way they want. However, they won't be getting any of my business and if you don't like dealing with disrespectful/unprofessional places like this they shouldn't get yours either! Anyways this is the most frustrated I have been in a long time and just wanted to make sure other people don't get screwed by this "company". read more
