7/27/24 My husband and I came here for breakfast. We parked easily as this is in a plaza. This is the type of restaurant where you order before you receive your food. We ordered: the squawking goat and the eggs-treme shiitake biscuit and gravy with iced coffee. The food took about 30 minutes before we got it. The gravy was too greasy and my sandwich was overflowing, no way to be eaten like a sandwich. Utensils were definitely needed for the sandwich's here. We visited MSB the morning of Father's Day around 9 am. It wasn't busy at all when we showed up, but was definitely getting busy as we left. This was our first visit but almost definitely won't be our last! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food came out before my toddler got impatient, which is always a plus! Everyone's food was great and we loved the bottomless coffee bar. The Smashbrowns were an absolute must. I recommend asking for a side of ranch because it pairs super well. The biscuit gravy is spicy. It was almost too spicy for me, but that's a personal preference. The restaurant has plenty of seating for groups, and offers indoor and outdoor seating. The have heard about this place and I love a good chicken biscuit. I know they are fairly new here, they must get organized with food expo. They have a lot of staff behind the counter doing nothing. I do like you can your food being made, but it's so disorganized. I ordered a basic chicken and it took over 20 minutes to receive my order. I even more upset with I saw the worker simply pulling my chicken patty out of a warmer and grabbed a biscuit. I also saw other people waiting on food that no one notified when food was ready. My first time dining at the new Maple Street Bisquit Company (2270 Nicholasville Rd Suite 120) was as good as it gets considering I had THREE "best I've ever tasted" experiences and received great service from managers Michael and Kinea and a young lady named Sam who took our order and served us at our table. The steak breakfast tacos I had were superb. I had the Two Taco Bundle for $9.50. The ample portion of chopped steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection as were the roasted peppers and onions and when combined with the eggs, cheese and fantastic creamy jalapeño sauce, these were easily the best breakfast taco/burritos I've ever had. The fried green tomatoes with their special homemade buttermilk ranch dip were also the best I've ever had and the same could be said for the perfectly cooked otherworldly flavored pecanwood bacon. The hash brown patties and the iced cinnamon biscuits were also excellent. Everything was very reasonably priced. I'll definitely be going back to sample more of their extensive menu of exquisite breakfast sandwiches, breakfast biscuits and egg, waffle, biscuits and gravy and chicken entrees. I love maple street biscuit! I do not have one where we live and I usually visit the one in St. Augustine, Fl when I'm on vacation, but we were in town visiting family. I was very happy to see this was here. We had a great experience. I think the staff was new but the manager was quick to fix the mistake with one of our food items. (Firebird is the destroyed sandwich because I couldn't wait) I know I know, it's seen as expensive for Kentucky but WORTH IT if you like biscuits and gravy made from scratch. Your food is also made to order so take that into consideration in terms of time you spend here. (I think the wait is 100% worth it but u know not everyone does). I usually order the Five and Dime with a single order of smashbrowns. I'm a mild ranch fiend and their ranch is soooo yummy with the smashbrowns. Went here with a friend before church. First time here for both of us. I got The Squawking Goat since it's what they're known for. It was definitely good! Didn't realize my friend is Gluten Free and they didn't have much of anything for her. She got Fried Green Tomatoes and liked them, more than she could eat though. They do have good coffee which we both got. You order at the counter then sit until they call you. The cashier was good about helping us. Brunch is spectacular! The Five and Dime is my go-to. Their biscuits and gravy pack so much flavor. The fried chicken is always solid and seasoned well. I always get a side of fried green tomatoes and smash browns ...I also order extra ranch and their house made jam. Their refillable coffee bar is fantastic -- the maple coffee is absolutely delicious and has Vermont maple infused beans. Prices here are also reasonable for the amount of food and how filling the meal is. I always have a to go box and make this a monthly treat for myself. The team and management here is also very upstanding. I have seen them comp meals when it gets pretty busy. They won't let you walk out of here unhappy. Your Lexington Ky store is losing customers! The menu does not match the website in any shape or fashion! And once we arrived at the store there were many other issues! We decided to stay and eat after looking at the really condensed and not expansive menu! The subtractions and additions did not suit our group any longer! The second issue is the cleanliness of your store! IT IS NOT! The evidence of using a kitchen mop full of flour is all over the dining room floor. There were only 5 tables in the dining room and everyone had to wipe a table off to sit! The drink/condiment station had no utensils except knives! Coffee and creamer both low! The self bussing areas dirty! The one team member that came out to "clean" just walked through the dining room and picked up a couple of straw wrappers and called it hood back to his prep work(which was also not good and cutting garnish with out gloves hands!)! Now for the food! The biscuits were not only cold they were hard! The gravy on the EGGS-TRAORDINARY RISKY BISCUITS was Luke warm and eggs were over cooked! The side of bacon was also cold! The CRISPY CHICKEN BISCUITS that were ordered (because the items wanted have disappeared from the menu in store!) we're all hard biscuits Luke warm and chicken was dry! Of the 6 of us that ordered no one was happy with a $15 check for ridiculous food! The group vowed not to return! The manager was sitting in a corner on his laptop and not once got up!
