Came here on a Monday night with a friend. We got a table right away. The service was pretty quick and our server is friendly. They had a great menu lots of good looking cocktails. We split an appetizer french fries and a main chicken dish. the portions are really big, the food was really tasty and I would gladly come back and try a new dish. It was super clean inside and looked like it was freshly redecorated. It was right across from the ice cream shop where we went and got some dessert. there's no parking lot and you park on the street which is what you expect when you go to Central West End I would recommend going on a not super busy night

The original Ranoush location is a very underrated spot for hookah, drinks, and food. It's a go to for anyone who wants to enjoy a versatile night out. You can do a date night. A friend gathering. You can get creative!!! Go with friends! I did and had the BEST chicken shawarma in the 314

Mezza for two!

We came here originally for hookah but decided to try some food as well! It was a nice day out so we sat outside. They have a good amount of tables outside in front of the restaurant. Next time, I'll bring my small dog to sit outside with us :) Inside is a dimmed cozy ambiance. We got the mezza for two. The food was tasty and nicely plated. The bread was fresh and fluffy! My husband said the hookah was good. They use reusable hose but give an option to purchase a one time use hose.. overall the hookah is on the pricier side for okay-ish hookah compared to other hookah lounges we've been to. Service was good. Gratuity was included in our bill , even for a party of 2. We would come back since this is the only hookah lounge near us .

Absolutely love the food, the outdoor seating (which has recently been expanded), and the people are all so friendly! I also love that they're open late and I can get late night deliveries of my favorite dish...chicken schwarma!!! The garlic sauce is !!! The only thing that could be improved is updating the furniture on the inside...but other than that, it's cool!

The inside is beautiful. (I chose to eat outside with vehicles driving & people walking by.) My setver had a pleasant attitude and the food is good.

Chicken Kafta

I had never had Roboush before and ended up getting it door dashed, so this review is solely about the food. I cannot speak on the dine in experience. I had trouble deciding what I wanted because it all sounded pretty delicious. I ended up getting the chicken kafta. We also got some fries and kabis to split (olives and pickles). Food was prepared quickly by the restaurant. My chicken kafta was served with rice and the Syrian salad. The spices on the chicken were super delicious. The chicken is minced, which I like but would probably stick with non- minced next time (just personal preference). The salad was very simple but it was fresh. Rice was a good accompaniment for the chicken. I really liked the fries and the seasoning on them.

Traditional Mezza for Two

It's been years since I've been to St Louis but I made it a point to return to Ranoush! Exceptional food with an equally impressive staff. Everything was just right with the mezze platter for two that could have easily fed three. Don't miss the mint tea, a perfect accompaniment. Fun part of town with easy parking, too.

Party of 7 out for Sunday dinner and Noah was our server. Complimentary freshly made pitas and smokey hummus that was as smooth as whipped butter arrived. Upon Noah's recommendation, we started with the traditional mezza for two and subbed a couple offerings, so we ended up with baba ghanoush, fatayer, arayes, falafel, and jalapeño poppers and all agreed the recommendation was spot on. As the pita baskets emptied they were refilled (much to this patron's delight! Instant fan!). Main courses included beef shawarma, vegetarian platter, mixed grill, and shish tawak. Highlights: shish tawak was moist and flavorful, the muhammra may have become a favorite on the spot, the baba ghanoush was rich and creamy, falafel was light and crispy, and the plating for everyone was beautiful. The pitas, however may have changed my life. I will easily return for just those and muhammra and be a completely happy customer. Many thanks to the owner and Noah, the best server ever, for making our first visit one that will lead to many returns.

Peach Crown Royal

Came here on a Saturday night after not being able to dine at a neighboring restaurant. I hadn't been here since 2022 for hookah with a friend. It was freezing outside and nice and cozy inside. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very attentive considering it was starting to fill up. I was a bit bummed they didn't have the cinnamon kahwa so I had to think of an alternative for my drink. I was only here for a light snack/meal so I ordered the wings. The garlic sauce that came with it was heavenly. The flavor of the chicken, phenomenonal. I tried the hummus of my friend's plate and it tasted mostly like chickpeas and tahini with not a single ounce of garlic. Definitely better suited for vampires. The bread that came with it was warm, soft and puffy. I asked for Crown Royal Peach straight and they put it in a cute cup. It was almost $11 for that baby cup but I definitely warmed up. My only complaint was the god awful burnt grease smell that smelled super prominent by the restrooms. :-/

I ordered some food on Door Dash for pickup. Seating area looked really inviting, lots of open tables. would love to back sometime for dining experience. Almost everything I got was fantastic. I had the veggie platter. Huge portions, could have easily shared with another person. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Smooth vibe here. I didn't realize it was a hookah bar, I usually order via Uber eats. Now that I've visited in person it's time for a review. Hands down I like the majority of the food. I love Mediterranean but for the major "classic" items they fall a little short. The tahini and baklava and the mixed drinks. But honestly, everything else is really good. The vibe here is very chill, the service is comparable to a Mediterranean hookah bar so be prepared to "not feel rushed" and low sitting furniture. There is a wide selection of hookah to choose from. It is definitely worth a visit, you don't have to drive too deep into The Loop and on a nice day you can sit outside and people watch too

Hookah, drinks and food

This is such a cool and laid back place to go! The food and drink hit the spot. I tried the Battata Harra and chicken shawarma and both were delicious filled with ethnic spices and so much flavor! The potatoes were cooked to perfection and the chicken was so tender and paired well w the basmati rice and pita! Highly recommend you visit this place any day of the week. Our sever Tiara was also great and gave great flavor recommendations for the Hookah and made us some good drinks. Service was super fast and the patio area was super comfy.

Love this place! There's dishes for everyone's palate and…read moreappetite including heat/spice levels. Our favorite shareable (that's actually an entree) is the Mango meatballs. We first tried them at a Festival of Nations and have been hooked since. They're a flavorful curry and meat dish that can be loved and enjoyed even for those not a fan of heat. One thing to note is that the curried lamb dish IS spicier than the curry chicken since the curries are prepared with different ingredients. I love the curried lamb dish almost more than the mango meatballs. The others in my party had the beef kebabs and the national dish - Qabelli Palau. Both of those were also exceptional! When you walk in, there's several steps to enter the restaurant. Then, you'll be guided up a few more stairs into the dining room and seated at a cozy table. The decor is minimal and traditional. I like how simple everything is. The focus really is on the service and the food. We're regulars here, but I'm just late to reviewing on Yelp.

I enjoyed my Spicy Chicken Soltani kebab platter that came with a spiced biryani rice with raisins and very good. I started with Pashtun salad that was small but fine for the $5 price. The naan bread on the side is different than the typical type of Indian naan but still tastes good. The service was pretty slow and I wasn't in a big rush but was getting ready to walk out after almost 15 minutes of waiting when a server came by. Good thing because 2 more minutes of waiting and I would've been out the door. The restaurant isn't the greatest inside but will do, nothing fancy.

I spent the evening on the outdoor patio with a hookah, and it was genuinely one of the more pleasant ways I've spent time in this city. The setting is perfect for it: the neighborhood has a calm, almost European energy, and the restaurant leans into that with its outdoor setup. The hookah was smooth, well-prepared, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I didn't get to try the food this time around, but the place has the feel of the real thing.
