It's no surprise that Spiro's has been around for decades. The food is fantastic, appropriately priced, and will likely appeal to all appetites. The restaurant is comfortable. And the staff values their customers. Inclusion on any "best of" list would be well earned. The Cocktails; My French 75 and his Summer Special Lemon-Blueberry Daiquiri, were wonderfully well-made. The Appetizer: My dining companion enjoys Saganaki; the show of the presentation never disappoints. The Caesar Salads were fresh & crisp. The Entree's: My Pasta Primavera, was perfectly prepared and seasoned. My dining companion ordered Chicken Piccata and was pleased. The price is great for the amount of food that is offered during Happy Hour, first course, entree, dessert and drink. Our server Nick, was very attentive and amusing. Food came out quickly and hot. We first tried Spiro's a couple of years ago when visiting relatives in Chesterfield. We're back visiting relatives again and wanted to try Spiro's again. It was as good as I remembered. Our server was polite, polished and efficient. Overall, service was excellent. We were here on a Wednesday and arrived during Happy Hour (until 6:30). They have a special Happy Hour menu that includes soup or salad, a choice of about a dozen entrees, a glass of wine and dessert. My wife had the beef kabobs, her sister had the pasta primavera, my BIL had the Moussaka and I had the Pastitsio. We all had the Greek salad for starters. Always a great dinner here. Came back with my friend and my parents to enjoy the happy hour dinner special. We all got the house salad for my entrée. I got the pasta Angelo to try something different. It was really good. They had lots of artichokes in there and tons of flavor. I do think I enjoy the pasta Corfu better and might stick with that the next time. Our waiter was amazing. I believe his name was Kyle. Very talkative very personable. What a disappoint- reservation for 4 people seated promptly and downhill from there. Entrees were under cooked - filet was ordered medium came out rare to raw. Veal chop was ordered medium came out rare. Entree special order didn't come out and was told they were out when other 3 entrees were served. So 2 of 4 entrees served - 2 sent back - 1 eating while 3 watched, then 2 came out and got cold while we waited for the 4th to come out. No offer of any compensation- what a miserable experience. I came with a large (15+) work group, and Spiro's did not disappoint! Despite our large group, service was attentive and on top of everyone's needs throughout the evening. I opted for a Caesar salad and the Chilean Sea Bass special. The salad was prepared well and a great starter to the meal, while the sea bass was exceptional. It was seasoned and cooked beautifully, and topped with a delicious lemon sauce. Truly, this was one of the better seafood dishes I've had recently. The steamed vegetables and twice-baked potato that came with it were good, but the sea bass was the star of the show. My son requested to dine in a Greek Restaurant for his birthday and Spiro's is the first name that me and my wife thought of going. The last time we've been here was several years ago, probably before COVID. Our experience today made us ask ourselves why we haven't been going here and we'll probably dine in more regularly. The employees here are very accommodating, and the moment we entered the restaurant we were taken good care of. We had a reservation at 5:15 PM and decided to come in earlier, we didn't experience any issues and were seated immediately. Inside was the traditional restaurant and the area was almost empty when we came in but started to fill up as the night went on. We were seated at a table in front of the bar. The bar looks very impressive to me, the amount of choices they have is just astounding. We were reminded that they have happy hour up until 6 PM wherein we can choose from their list of dishes that come with soup/salad, drink, and dessert. This is a good deal for us! I got the Souvlaki, my wife ordered the chicken kebob (after being told that the Grecian chicken was out), my birthday boy son ordered the Lamb shank, and the youngest the kid's spaghetti. The spaghetti in the kid's menu is huge... It will take probably a 10-year-old boy to finish this. My son is only 4yo and he loves it, he does not usually like red sauce in spaghetti especially when ordered in a restaurant, but this one he liked a lot. He didn't finish it though, only a third of it. So the rest we took home and ate the next day. My eldest loves the lamb shank as well. He has a big appetite and this is a large lamb shank so he was happy about it. Now the -1 star is for my souvlaki and my wife's chicken kebab. We were expecting some more flavor in it but we believe both fell short of what we wanted or expected for a kebab. We love the Persian kebabs and what they have is nothing close to it. It tasted bland and the sauce poured over didn't help. We'll probably skip these kebabs next time we visit. Oh, one last thing, we were delighted by what the manager did. Our server forgot to punch in the cold cut appetizer that we ordered and the manager informed us that it was missed but would still be served free of charge! Overall our dine-in experience exceeded our expectations, especially that of our birthday boy. We are coming back! read more

Okay this place surprised me. Not to be rude, but I'm not usually as impressed with county restaurants - this spot changed my mind. We have friends who we do monthly dinners with and this popped up so we gave it a try, so glad we did. We were sat super quickly. The service was top notch, we saw our server all night and never once had to try and find him. He was fantastic. They have a pretty great cocktail menu too. We started with the Saganaki and omg. The server literally fire grilled it AT OUR TABLE everyone was amazed. And it was so flavorful!! My husband wanted the prime rib and although they were "out" our server went back and offered the end piece. He was so excited and he said it was fantastic. Enjoyed lunch with 15 retirees, many that hadn't been here before. Great lunch menu selections all very well priced. I thoroughly enjoyed shrimp scampi. There were 5 large shrimp, rice and sautéed vegetables all for $14. All of the meals looked incredibly appetizing and we are glad as a group to be going there monthly. So I would say I had to eat all my food with my hands, but I didn't eat hardly any of it after tasting it. I got the chicken gyro with "Greek fries" . The gyro was so flavorless.. The chicken looked as if it came frozen from a bag of pre cooked and sliced meat. Seriously y'all, not one ounce of seasoning or flavor. The tzatziki sauce tasted like nothing. I briefly wondered if I had covid. But then I ate the dry as a dessert "Greek fries" and realized no, unfortunately I can taste these. It was just a sloppy mess. The place is obviously popular, so maybe their nack is the other dishes. I'd be willing to try something else.
