Picked up a half tray of biryani today for a friend, and I must say, their service left me impressed! While I was asked to wait a few minutes for the food to be ready, what stood out was their thoughtfulness. The owner (I believe) called someone from inside and asked them to drop the food in my car. Though I offered to carry it myself, they insisted on helping. A special shoutout to Mr. Abhishek (I hope I got your name right)--these 5 stars are for you! Your kind gesture and willingness to help truly made my day. Let's continue to spread kindness wherever we go. Thank you for such a great experience.

I first tried their food at my co workers baby shower as she and her husband catered from Vindu. It was so delicious that I came to the restaurant 2 weeks later to dine in for dinner. We started with the Gobi Manchurian, which was soft yet a bit crispy with just a tiny hint of spice. I didn't know you could make cauliflower so flavorful! For entrees, we got the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and of course garlic naan. I loved the onions and bell peppers in the Tikka Masala. Both sauces were flavorful. The restaurant is clean. Service was impeccable. The owner checked on us multiple times. You can tell that he truly cares about the experience of his customers.

Great service and the food was delicious. Best sweet corn soup I've ever had! The ambiance is always quiet and very clean.

When I was looking for a place to have a nice dinner with co-workers, a friend recommended Vindu. It didn't disappoint at all. It's located in a small business strip on the edges of downtown Farmington. The inside is small and simply furnished. They had a fragrance circulating that was very floral and smelled nice. After answering a bunch of questions and getting some great recommendations from our server, we settled on our dinner choices. The food was DELICIOUS! We shared an appetizer called Gobi Manchurian (it was cauliflower with a spiced tomato sauce) that was terrific. We each ordered a different curry meal and paired it with some garlic naan. The portions are generous and the food was amazing. I would definitely go back again if I were in the area.

Stopped by this place for lunch -- not people inside so the service was speedy. The portion sizes are quite large. Tried the lamb biryani, samosas and the chicken lollipops. The food was great. Their spicy is definitely spicy but good. The service was amazing and the staff was super nice and helpful. They recommended all the dishes I tried-- attempting to break away from my traditional options. Food did not disappoint.

The food is good, but the service was slow. Vindu has a bar in the front and they do a lot of carry out orders. I think they take reservations as well. The decor is nice and the lighting features are fancy. I had the Palak Paneer ( puréed spinach and Indian cottage cheese) with mild spice. My dish turned out good . My other half had goat curry, which he also enjoyed. WE also had an appeziter of Chili Chicken- and it was way spicy that I could not eat it. We asked for medium and got extreme heat! Also all the tables had bottled water on that tables, not sure if something is wrong with the city water? But everyone got a nice Kirkland brand of bottled water. The service was slow. So that's why the three stars. There was one waiter and several people that would come out from the kitchen and put food on customers' tables. It was the wait for the food and then waiting for the check that took the longest. I could see the one waiter working very hard to please everyone, but he needs help as it is not a one man/person job. So overall, its a decent place just need to get more staff.

It's clean, new and nicely decorated inside. My husband liked their scent inside, it didn't smell like curry, more like an incense or potpourri. Our waiter was attentive, nice and informative too. We ordered the gobi manchurian, vegetable kadai, bhindi masala, plain dosa, Chana masala and Andhra chicken curry. The waiter double checked to make sure our spice level and he commented that we ordered a lot of food, asked if we would be packing food to take home. I assured him we will eat it all. We usually order one more dish usually. The dosa was big and long, so crunchy and nicely toasted on the outside. It was nice with all of the chutneys and the soup too. It would have been nice to be offered another dosa with our meal for free since we aren't getting any rice or bread with our 4 entree items and they give you a rice with every entree too. They cut us up some fresh lemons for our waters. The gobi is crispy, deep robust flavors, not as sweet as some others, the chili sauce is a dark brown coloring here, it's quite tasty. The chutneys are good, tomato, coconut and the ginger are all good, the ginger is my favorite. The tomato and ginger are spicy. The andhra chicken is yummy, nice flavor change with the ginger chutney. The veggie kadai is so flavorful and veggie packed. The Chana masala is good, as it should be. The bhindi masala has a nice flavor. A bit mushier here than others, still good. All of the dishes are nicely seasoned and have a nice kick to them all, since we ordered them all medium spice. The entrees cost a bit more than other Indian spots, but the portions are also bigger as well. We did end up with leftovers from 3 of the dishes, this was a first time taking Indian leftovers for sure. The seasonings, spices and flavors were all good in our dishes. Robust flavors. The chutneys give bites of the foods different flavor enhancements to change it up some, as all of the 4 curries tasted similar with slight spice notes. We were told it would take a few minutes to get our to go containers. They gave us small plastic containers with tops and bags too, keeping it clean. It sounds like there are 20 kids in the kitchen, the echos are rather loud, sounds like fun in the kitchen.

    Butter Chicken and Gongura Chicken

This is officially the best Indian I have ever had and will now be at the top of my list for restaurants in the area!! We are here in a Friday night and the place was packed but we were still able to be seated immediately. They had take out orders lined up at the cash register, so you know it's popular for that too. The waiter was so so sweet and insisted on making me his signature cocktail which was very good! I couldn't tell you what was in it haha, but it was only $7! They have a well stocked bar for any drink you can imagine. We ordered samosas for an appetizer which did have a kick to them. Then we split butter chicken and gongura chicken with butter naan. Everything was absolutely delicious. Food came out quick, the waiter checked on us at a regular interval. This was such a great meal and we will be back! Also there are 2 free EV charging stations behind the building and this restaurant has a banquet space next door. The waiter mentioned in the weekends they have a very popular buffet but he emphasized you want to get their right when it opens. Highly recommend!!!

My first plate from the weekend buffet. YUM

Order at the counter or they will take your order at the table. We got a small cup of complementary veggie soup. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, lollipop chicken, dry, butter chicken, Chana masala. All spicy level, which is medium+ spicy. They are out of Dal Tadka today. :/ $58.82 Our waitress made sure to check our order and our spice level. The soup is watery, oily, nice and spicy. It's surprisingly refreshing and good. The Gobi has decent flavor, just slightly spicy, not crispy. The lollipop chicken was too gristly and fatty for my tastes. My husband ate the rest. I was done with the chicken. I didn't mind the cabbage, cilantro, carrot and red onion slaw that was the bedding of the lollipop chicken. The butter chicken sauce is okay, the chicken itself is overcooked. I had a few harder, chewy piece in my portion. The Chana masala is good, that was my favorite dish out of everything we ate tonight. Upon our receipt of the bill, I was bit bothered to be informed then that they would give us an 8% discount if we use cash. Would have been better to mention that ahead of our order, no? They do charge 3% administrative charges or the credit card fee to me. I expect to pay the sales tax, always.

If I were to guess my guess would be this location just opened. They were doing a DoorDash deal, 25% off up to $10, so we tried them last night. We ordered: -Gobi 65: This is one of my husband's favorite dishes and theirs was very good. For this and all of our entrees, we were able to select a spice level, as well, which is good because I can only handle mild spice. -Butter paneer: also delicious. -Chicken Tikka masala: very good, although I'm not a fan of when Indian places include veggies in these types of dishes. -2 orders of garlic naan: very garlicky, buttery, and a bit thin. Delicious to sop up the sauce with. Portions were very large also, the sauce was literally overflowing from the containers. As for pricing, it was a few dollars more than Aahar, also in Farmington and another of our go-to ordering places, but I feel like the portion sizes make it worth it. I usually order a mango lassi but since it was about $50+ for all that food, I did not, this time - hopefully next time. Overall everything was very tasty from here and hot and fresh, so I would order from here again.

The regular place has no seating except benches to wait for your food, but you can go to the Gift of India Cafe two doors down and there is seating there. There are non-vegetarian, vegetarian, and I believe there are also vegan options per the sign on their door. The pizza option comes in two sizes: medium and large. I don't believe they have a 'personal' size and are not by the slice either. The large is HUGE, I recommend getting half and half of flavors to try them. The dough is soft, not too thick and not too thin, and they will ask if you want their spicy and green sauces with cilantro on top. I recommend it for flavor and aesthetic purposes! We got the chicken tikka and chicken 65 for our half and half large pizza. We also wanted a vegetarian option and thus opted for the Paneer tikka wrap/ rolls. The rolls can come as 2 rolls per order. The rolls are also packed with product and flavor, and they are wrapped with paratha which was buttery and held itself up well. The pizza was everything and more! The cafe area was not busy when we came and had a good amount of seating in it. The cafe area is clean and has a little mural wall featuring Indian food staples on it. There are both high and regular height chairs/ tables to sit in.

My favorite was the chicken wrap, especially alongside the pani puri. We also got a lamb bowl, it was decent, just not my favorite flavor-wise, but still good if you enjoy lamb. They were out of chicken masala, which I definitely want to come back and try. Only one gal was working, had lots of orders coming in but she was nice. Inside, there wasn't a sitting area or tables, but we got it togo so wasn't a big deal for us. Prices weren't too bad, but I've had better overall. I'd rate it a 3.5/5.
