We got Doordash from this place yesterday and their menu is super unique! We ordered the cauliflower appetizer, some naan, and four naan-lupas (yes, you read that right - like naan sandwiches). Paneer, but unfortunately chilli paneer is what showed up; chicken tikka masala, which was great; curry chicken, which I also liked; and Manchurian cauliflower. All of the sandwiches were a bit spicy, as was the cauliflower appetizer, but my chicken tikka masala sandwich was mild, as I had ordered. There was a mixup and we received a chilli paneer sandwich instead of paneer, so that was too spicy for me. The cauliflower sandwich was surprisingly tasty too. The garlic naan was also delicious. Definitely would order from here again and next time I'd throw in some mango lassis as well. read more

Wide open place. The Chinese zodiac is our placemat. One free mama roll with a check-in here. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest or warmest. We ordered the cauliflower gobi manchurian, chicken butter masala, veggie malai korma, avocado mama dilla, Chana masala, all medium plus spicy and garlic naan. Forgot to ask for the gobi manchurian to be crispy, it's soft, wilted and quite soggy. Tastes okay, spicy. The avocado mama dilla was yummy. Tortilla is nicely toasted. The creamy chipotle sauce with the avocado is delicious. The chicken butter masala is good, nice flavor profiles, creamy and spicy too. Chicken chunks are a tad big. The Chana masala is different here, sauce isn't so thick, it's more of a dry Chana. It tastes different with the red onion, tomatoes, almost tastes like a pico atop it all. It's so-so. The veggie malai korma is also okay, not my thing at all. Korma sauce here isn't for me. The garlic naan wasn't bad. read more

Indian and Mexican mixed cuisine. I got to give it a try!! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The server/attendant, knew exactly what I wanted and tweaked to my desire. I like my biriyani moist with more masala but not hot (spicy). He delivered as requested. Paneer biryani - amazing vegetarian option. Served with raitha and Salan. 5 stars for just this. Friend ordered bejawada biryani. He loved that as well. But he thought it little dry for his desire. But that's the style of that dish.. he just did not know. Mamaeatz is a restaurant with a lot of promise: trendy feel, the concept is a fusion of various types of cuisine, and based on the menu, it seems like there's a recipe for success. However... in reality the execution left a lot to be desired. Mamaeatz is located in the heart of Farmington Hills, which is a double-edged sword because FH is home to a huge Indian Diaspora. Let me explain -- Mamaeatz's core menu is based off of Indian food items, and as a result, there's a huge market in folks looking for good quality Indian food... however the standards are also high because there are a ton of great options in this area! This is likely why Mamaeatz went for the fusion route as it adds a differentiator to all of the traditional Indian restaurants in the area. In the time of COVID, convenience is a big priority and Mamaeatz does well in this area. They offer ordering via phone for takeout, and offer curbside pickup as well. Just call when you get to the restaurant and someone will come by with your food! The process is a little clunky, but no major complaints, I know they're still working through it! Now for the not so great part... at face value, the food seemed like it'd be great. Good visual appeal, and the aroma was on point! However I knew things were off when I bit into the first Vada and the inside was mushy...completely undercooked. I figured maybe it was just a fluke, but nope, I saw the same issue on the next one too! On top of that, the Chicken 555 was also undercooked! Flavor profiles were just right, but the undercooked nature of the dishes made it impossible to finish them. The Biryani was cooked to a good level, but the flavor left me wanting more. On the plus side, the portions are ample and it's not expensive for what you're getting. Unfortunately I think Mamaeatz has yet to reach its full potential... I'd consider stopping by the restaurant sometime in the future when they've worked out some issues, but as of right now, I'll be going to other Indian restaurants in the area. read more

Amazing service, we were seated quickly, quick orders and great recommendations, and our server was super kind! Overall a great experience and I'd highly recommend their paneer tikka and samosas! Food is excellent, prices are great. Once again some of us from work decided to give it a try. Same old problems with service. The server came over, gave us the menus. Came back a few minutes later. One person ordered their bento box special, said VEGETARIAN. Server asked if it was the veggie or non veggie. Repeated VEGETARIAN. We also ordered a veg pakora to split among us. the rest of us got roll ups. No flat ware or napkins were ever given to us, nor were the menus removed. After 15 min, food comes out. Not the pakora, the APPETIZER, which should have been first, but a roll up. Took another 5 min or so for the rest of the food to come out. Not sure if this is a server or kitchen problem, but it is a problem. Server waited until food was on the table to bring out the flat ware and napkins. On top of which, the bento box was a non-vegetarian one. The one person was hungry and said they'd eat it. How much was it? $2 extra was what server told us. But when we went to pay it was $4 more!! They really need to get their act together. We'd come more often if service was reliable. How is it dozens/hundreds of other restaurants manage to have competent servers??? I was having a terrible day, had just gotten a speeding ticket, my insulin pump was out of insulin, and I had missed lunch. So I was literally seething as headed in, hoping for some endorphins and comfort. And was wonderfully rewarded! The Mysore masala dosa with coconut & peanut chutney was the standout winner. More later on the lovely malai kofta, free! (Thanks to Yelp offer) chicken tikka masala roll, perfect paratha, yummy lentil soup, and bonus chai that they initially said sadly they did not have.... But halfway through the meal, they came out with a cup they made just for me! We ordered some indo Chinese and biryani for takeout. The biryani was okay. But the indo Chinese was terrible. If you're an Indian and have had good indo Chinese food, you'll know this isn't it. This is the best Indian food we have ever had, including internationally as we have tried Indian food in several other countries. The spice level is crazy hot, even the mild, so be warned. I do not like any heat, so sometimes my mild is too much for me. More like medium to hot at other restaurants, however the flavor of the food is second to none!! My family members, who always order hot, have to order medium here. Aside from that, the food is fresh and so flavorful. The naan bread is delicious as well as the mango lassi's. This is my first time eating here. I ordered Masala Rava Dosa. It comes with potato curry, a couple of chutneys and Sambar. The Sambar and the potato stuffing were good and the chutneys we're ok. However, the Dosa itself was bad. It was like eating plaster. After eating, I went to the Mens room to wash my hands. The Faucet in the wash basin wasn't working. I asked the server and they said I can use the Womens room. The faucet was working there but the soap dispenser was empty. Why would you not refill the soap dispenser in Covid times? If the Dosa was good, I would have overlooked the wash room situation. They had enough staff to take care of these things. I will give them one more try on their non-Dosa dishes. read more

The food was good....once we finally got it. We ordered at 7 pm for a 7:30 pick up and the food wasn't ready until 8:45 pm. There was a door dash driver inside who complained about waiting for two hours. They seemed to be piecing all the orders together piece by piece rather than fulfilling a whole order at once then moving to the next one. Therefore part of our order just sat out for over 30 min while the rest of the food was being made. That being said, I would love to give this place another chance because the food was flavorful. We loved Mamaeatz when they first opened, everything was f'in delicious, portion sizes were bigger than my house, the marination reached every nook of the dish, and biryani had a ton of meat, i thought I found heaven. But this was all prototype. Now they've grown in volume, true production means halfassed flavors, skimped portions and more focus on looks than cooks. We regularly visit this place but never got any complaints but recently has the issue of staff not being polite with the customers. Just walked in to have some fast food and seen staff literally 3-4 people amongst them are very rude to the customers, does not respect , does not take what we wanted , throws off attitude, it is a feeling like sit or get lost looks !! This restaurant is tucked away in a stip mall and was not easy to find, but we were so happy we found it. The staff is so friendly and helpful when ordering. They even made me Chai tea, which was not on menu, and it was absolutely wonderful! My husband had chicken Biryani. It was spicy, just the way he likes it. I had the Tandoori fish, it was tasty and a very a generous portion. We will definitely be back. It is so nice to find a new place we really enjoyed. I had a bad day, I was grumpy, and I wanted some Indian food. I usually go vindaloo but I tried the tandoori Cornish hen, and got some garlic naan because hey, it's garlic naan. Anyway, the food arrived and I noticed the Cornish hen had onions and limes and there was also sauce and the garlic naan, but I thought it would come with rice or something. I was grumpy, I called back immediately and I could have been more polite- Anyway I was blessed to find myself with Ram on the phone. He was so sweet, explained that curries come with rice but not tandoori items, and after asking if I could stop by for some rice he repeatedly offered to drive me some rice or whatever I need free of charge. This was obviously above and beyond, I didn't need the rice and it's totally fine but I just want to say that Ram is OG and such a pro at hospitality, and I look forward to spending my time and money here. DELICIOUS FOOD and WONDERFUL SERVICE. My sister, brother, and I tried this place on a Friday night during Covid, and Ram took amazing care of us. None of us are familiar with Indian cuisine, so Ram offered a number of suggestions (tikka masala, butter chicken rolls, garlic naan, and chicken 65) - all of it was excellent. Additionally, Ram treated us to chicken biryani, coconut rice, goat biryani, and mango juice (a mix of condensed milk, yogurt, mango, and sugar). He wouldn't accept any extra money for the extra food, even though the biryani was one of our favorites. If you're on the fence about Mamaeatz, TRY IT. You'll love the food and the friendly service.
