Let me explain a hypothetical scenario to you, and if you understand the scenario, you'll understand why this review is 1-star: So let's suppose you take your car into the dealership to have your drivers seat repaired because the rail is broke, and you can no longer slide the seat forward or backward. They agree to fix the issue, and call you back 5 days later informing you that the issue has been fixed and you're good to go. When you arrive at the dealership, however, you notice the driver seat has not been reinstalled back in the vehicle; when you question them about this, they inform you that you only paid them to fix the broken railing system and that removing the seat was part of fixing that issue, however re-installing the car seat is a completely different matter that you would have to pay them to do. They fixed the railing system as promised, and anything above and beyond that would require a whole other work order. Sounds asinine, right? Well that's exactly how this company operates, apparently. I made the mistake of going with them a second time because they fixed a completely different matter back in February through my insurance company. They did a good job, so I figured if I went through them myself to handle another water issue in my basement, they would appreciate a repeat customer. At the end of the job, they simply packed up the equipment and left. When I called Kurt, all I got was him saying that removing the doorframe and the trim in my basement was part of mitigating the water issue, but reinstalling the frame and the trim would require a whole other work order which they would have to make profit from and would have to charge me a lot of money to do. I'm not sure what type of company can morally justify not completing a work task to a commonsense standard, but sure enough they did. And Kurt had the audacity to tell me that in order to make a profit on re-installing the trim an the door frame, he would have to charge me a lot of money. Mind you, this is to re-install framing and trim that they removed. Really wish I could recommend these guys, but in all good consciousness I can't. If I could give zero stars, I would. I had this company sent for mitigation and repair after a tub leak. After the job was completed I let the contractor Bill know that the tub had issues. Saved all texts and emails via screenshots. His answer was to come back and spray foam under it via an access panel. Still was not level. Told me I had warranty and if issue, they'd be back. Five months to the day, tub cracked. Insurance had to send out an engineer that proved they were at fault due to installation failure. Company fought but ultimately gave in and agreed to fix again. Fast forward 2.5 weeks and we have a leak now from different tub because the plumber had broken the seal by tigntening too much and it was crooked, per the new plumber. called the owner Dave, who then threw an expletive at me and told me it wasn't his job to shop for a tub for me. Then hung up. The adjuster who also came is the son of the owner, his name is Kurt. He bold face lied to my insurance company stating they told me my tub was garbage and got bad reviews and told me to specifically not get the tub again. Thankfully I had text messages from Bill, the project manager/contractor That said oh no this is a sturdy tub. Stay away from this company. Thankfully, I saved all my correspondence with their ppl and covered my butt. read more

I highly recommend this restoration company. Our hot water dispenser failed while we were on vacation up north. We came home to water spewing in the kitchen, the basement ceiling falling down and a wading pool in the basement. It is an overwhelming and emotional event to lose so much. We had to move out of our house. Rapid Recovery advocated for us with our insurance company. They held our hand every step of the way to get us back into our home. Bill G our project manager/contractor is a great, honest guy. Good people. Good company. Good choice! read more

Monica S I called Rapid Recovery when my hot water tank blew up and drained all through my first floor and destroyed our beautiful finished basement. Rapid had a crew at my house at 10:30 pm saturday night and got started with drying out my home. Rapid did all the dealing with my insurance company and got me back in my home in 6 weeks. Rapid Recovery is the exact opposite of what happens here. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT call them. It took almost ONE YEAR to get back in my house. During that time they consistantly missed self imposed deadlines. The first 6 months workers were never at my house more than 1 or 2 days a week.... let that sink in.. One worker said this is S.O.P. These guys are something else. We bought a home that they were repairing after a minor fire. They refused to allow anybody except their employees onto the property quoting insurance coverage. In fact, the real reason did have to do with insurance...they defrauded the insurance company paying for the repairs. i.e. the smoke detectors were all supposed to be replaced...NONE WERE REPLACED. New drywall was supposed to be installed...only the kitchen area had that done and the rest was primed with KILZ. Flooring was to be removed and replaced with laminate...it was the wrong kind of laminate and INSTALLED THE WRONG WAY. Their worker during a follow-up stated that he had never worked with that type flooring and didn't know anything about underlayment. During the next follow-up he stated that he cannot keep coming to the home without payment. I reminded him of the contract with the insurance company and his boss/company owner showed up stating that they were done! The owner stated that they had been paid in full by the insurance company which meant their end of the contract was fulfilled. The insurance company stated that because we did not own the house at the time we had no legal claim. Rapid Recovery Service is in the business of cutting corners to make more money. Beware those who get paid by the job!! They also jacked up a lot of the outlets and never hooked up the disposal! read more

What was I thinking! When I hired this company, this has been a mess, very unprofessional, trashed my house did quite a few grand in damage. Already switched managers hoping that would help because I'm stuck with the company, as my house is been ripped up for three months, as of right now I am wearing a coat in my home. I asked them to put up plastic dozen times so I wouldn't be cold, where they ripped out the drywall between my house and garage so all the cold air just keeps coming in. Three months later they finally sending somebody out to put plastic. This company is a joke!! read more

This company is bad that is the only way I can explain it. My wife and I called them to get an estimate on some fire damage in our kitchen per the referral from our insurance company. The guy that gave us our estimate acted as if we were wasting his time by asking for a price so we could get other estimates/ He mumbled and went outside to chain smoke. when he returned he told me all that was involved in estimates and i would have to sign with them before he priced our kitchen. I told him not to bother and he gave me his information . his name was frank and i am not even sure if he was with that company or some odd contracted drifter . when i called te office i got the runaround and decided at that time to go with another company. read more

This was the worse experience I have had. It was bad enough to go through the loss bit to have to deal with rapid recovery made it worse. My floor looks like crap, I was missing personal items, there was damage to my house from the work their contractors did. The work that was done I ended up having to pay to get it corrected. I sent pictures of the issues and a list, they have yet to come back to fix them. They were more worried about getting the money than having quality work done. They never told me I was going to have to pay for some of the repairs. read more

Worst job ever. Very unprofessional. Hired Rapid Recovery Service to give me quote. Beware, their quote is actually a contract to hire them. Needed ceramic tile ripped out and replaced by porcelain tile. They cut corners, didn't put subfloor down. The tiles started shifting, creaking and cracking within the first week. Tried to contact Rapid Recovery Service several times with no response. Five months later I contacted the new Project Manager Bill G and Jimmy from Jimmy's Paint Service (the actual installers Rapid Recovery Service sent out to complete job). Both Jimmy and Bill G. informed me the job was not done correctly and would continue to crack and shift. They confirmed in writing that the job would be completely redone correctly at Rapid Recovery's expense since no subfloor was installed and the tiles were cut wrong. Several months later David Norris, the owner came to take a look. Never heard from Rapid Recover Service again. This was an $8,500 job. Did not stand behind their shoddy work.. Would not honor warranty or recommendation of his Project Manager and Installation Manager. Will not respond to my calls or the calls of agencies. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. would give them a "0" if i could. horible work. i did construction for 12 years and took pride in my work. so if i have work done i like to have the people working on my house to take pride also. but instead they do hack work and when i point it out they said i should have done it then. and i would have if i didnt get hurt and cant do that work anymore. so if your insurance company wants them to come to your house refuse and save yourself that headache of horrible work. read more
