I could spend hours in this cute little shop. So much jewelery, tons of crystals, bottles, clothes, boxes and all kinds of amazing pieces here. The clearest quartz crystals I've ever seen! A great selection. I'll definitely be coming back if I'm ever in Ashland again! I do have one bummer comment, and I hate to even bring it up because my experience was absolutely amazing here. My reason for doing so is to encourage the shop to upgrade their register. (I know it can be costly, but it seems as though it needs to happen) I had the sweetest cashier, who also helped us with the jewelry, very nice and efficient. She did amazing and my qualm is certainly not with her! I want her to know that!! However, I was charged for an extra crystal. As a cashier in a gift shop myself, I know this happens, I know it's super easy to do especially with older registers, and looking at the receipt I can totally see how she missed the extra crystal charge (she had actually double checked herself during check out because she noticed the final price seemed high). The receipt is tiny, and at a glance it looks accurate, I almost missed it myself until I really looked at it and double checked what I had purchased. So again, this is not about the amazing young lady who helped me. She wrapped my crystals up well and was genuinely amazing. The shop should absolutely update their register so the cashier's can more effectively double check what they are ringing up. There are a ton of tiny items here, prices vary widely, and the system they have is very out of date. Typing in every price, keeping track of what you've entered and then having to check a tiny receipt still attached to the register creates way too much room for error. I feel for these cashier's. Mistakes happen, it's unavoidable. I can't imagine working with that dinosaur of a register. Lol Also I want to point out, I myself did not check the receipt until I got back to my hotel and the business was closed, so that is entirely on me! We leave tomorrow, and I'm going to consider it as a donation to the shop with warm regards! I really love local shops and I wish this business the absolute best. But for real real...............please get a new system hahahahaha

Update: the rings unfortunately do turn your fingers green but it's not very noticeable and it washed pretty much right off my finger. Of course you can fix this with a top coat or something and the rings are still gorgeous, just not for every day wear. I still love this store and the employees! They do an outstanding job and making you feel welcome and the store is just beautiful

My purchase today of Nag Champa soap and two cute skirts!

Rare Earth is out of business now. Used to love that store. Went there often before it disappeared.

The guy was spending like 10-mins just explaining details about jewelry they sell to a customer who did not want to buy anything just for fun! The lady behind the counter who helped me was super friendly and nice. And she wrapped what I bought with a lot of care. I wish I lived in Ashland and could visit them more often. I bought a few of their beautiful leather bookmarks for myself, but they're going so fast because everyone loves them and wants one! I wish they had things they sell in their store on their website too, so I could order more bookmarks, but sadly that's not the case.

Ashland tends towards the artsy and funky, so this place really stands out as a high-end general store. They have a small assortment of fine wares in several areas: glassware, jewelry, baby items, cosmetics, books and my personal favorite, bon-bons. At every stop I would ooh and aah over something. When I was looking in the children's section they managed to have some of my all time favorites (Ferdinand the Bull and several from the Emberley drawing series). The owner was very friendly and this is their third store with the other two in the Bay Area. Great place to gift shop for a special occasion or just to treat yourself.

The floor is glossy AF. A sign on the window advertising the "Paddington National Park" collection brought me in. People used to ask me about it when I worked in Yosemite, so I was curious as to what it was. I was surprised to find that this store carried dozens of the same exact products as the Yosemite Village Gift shop-- same brands and everything. They also had products I'd seen at other various gift shops around California, like the Smokey Bear backpacks I'd seen in Shasta. They had some cute national park themed outdoor blankets on clearance for $29.99. In the upstairs section, they had all kinds of local Oregon jams. Downstairs, I found a display full of huckleberry candies. I searched for the huckleberry dark chocolate bar that was discontinued in Yosemite last year, but to no avail. They had super cute jewelry from a New York designer that looked just like Betsey Johnson stuff, but cuter. They had some of the cutest floral dresses I've ever seen. I might have to come back for one. They had the best selection of magnets, stickers, and keychains I've seen anywhere so far. I seriously wanted to buy everything here. Would definitely stop by again.

I'm a big fan of popping in here on weekdays over weekends. There's so much stuff and not a ton of room so it's really rad when you snag an off-peak moment to peruse. There's a shop cat, Charlie, that I've never seen leave the comfy chair in back and the owner, Heather, who is coolAF and actually super young- which is not typically what you'd expect from the owner of an antique and odd art shop. There's jewelry, Knick knacks, LOTS of art, of course. Many originals and if Heather is there she can magically tell you the origin story of the art and artist for EVERYTHING in the shop... and there's like 3000 things in the shop. Like any antique shop, it can be hot or miss and there's often piles or cramped aisles but that's called having character in the antique biz (I don't actually know that, just guessing) and I feel right at home here.
