A really cool and relatively new boba spot in El Paso.., West side of course, because that's where everything cool is. Now I'm not saying this boba is better than the mall, or other spots, but it's easily just as good. And it's super close to the outlets, so it's an easy in/out before or after a shopping trip. Likewise, it's in the same parking lot as Crumble Cookies. That's a bonus! What I particularly like about this place that sets it aside from others, is that they offer an Okinawa Milk Tea. No, I'm not saying it's spot on with Okinawa, however, as someone that lived on the gorgeous island for 7 years, it's nice to have that option; it's a nice placebo that at least mentally takes me back to tropical weather and amazing scenery. Go check it out! Whether you're a boba expert or novice, I can assure you that based on availability in El Paso, this place is at the top of the list (geographically).

It's rare to find a place that does creamy boba milk tea and fruit teas well, but Rare Tea excels in both! I hosted a sneak peek with a couple of other foodies in the area and we got to try all different flavors. We learned that they freshly brew their 4 kinds of teas, and they only use 4 powders, the rest is all freshly made in house like their rose tea, which I got with matcha powder and it was a wonderful soothing blend. Their fruit teas like passion fruit and mango are made with real fruits and are refreshing to sip! Their pastries are baked daily and shipped in from Las Cruces by a Parisian born chef. My favorite is the crystal boba, it's not often a selection here in El Paso, so I'm really excited and always order it when I see it on the menu since I can't make crystal boba at home. Come check them out! Rare Tea (915) 234-2598 6450 Desert Blvd N g 104, El Paso, TX 79912 https://maps.app.goo.gl/PtwDR8Gs4trkhcLn6

The boba quality is VERY good here. Chewy and not hard. The fruit tea and milk tea selection is good. You can taste the underlying tea base without tasting artificial. The staff was very nice. Hidden boba gem in ELP!

It's true, Boba is my love and I've found my BOBA BAE at Boba Mi Amor…read more They do it right here. Most people think that it's called "bubble tea" because of the boba tapioca balls, but it's not. It's actually because of the foam that "bubbles" up when the tea, syrups, and cream mix together and become airy and frothy. This place nails the foam. They also have somehow duplicated the correct texture and temperature of the tapioca balls. In Asia, and other places in the U.S with a large Asian diaspora, when you order boba tea, unlike here in El Paso, the tapioca balls are warm, slighty chewy, and has a lingering sweetness. It's supposed to stand out in texture and taste from the actual liquid it's suspended in (milk tea, Thai tea, taro milk tea, etc) even if the drink is cold, the boba is warm. I haven't had the pleasure of having authentic boba milk tea in El Paso, until I tried Boba Mi Amor's. Turns out, the owners have lived in China and travelled around Asia and have taken courses on traditional boba milk teas. They wanted to bring an artisanal experience to El Paso and like a lot of tea shops in the Asian community they're also open late from 11:30am-9pm. I tried their Thai Milk Tea with Boba and Coffee Jelly and their Jasmine Boba Milk Tea. Their Thai Milk Tea might be my favorite drink as it's perfectly sweet. The coffee jelly was a stark and sharp contrast to the soft chewiness of the boba. I don't think I would combine those 2 again as the texture was odd and too jarring. They use compostable straws and the servings are generous. The Jasmine Milk Tea was really good, usually with Jasmine tea, there's an tannin finish, but it's smoothed out with the creaminess of the half and half. The tea wasn't overly sweet and you can taste the delicate tea flavor. There's no powders or artificial flavors here. They hand steep their teas, they cook their bobas daily (which means they might run out), and their simple syrup and dairy blends are made in house. The owners are proud of their craft and wanted to bring the authentic boba house experience they found in Asia with a El Paso twist, so be on the lookout for some new flavors that celebrates that and they will have something soon that I've been craving...sea salt cheese foam!!! I'm also trying to convince them to make boba ice cream and sandos in addition to the Taiyaki that they make in house. Come check them out and #supportlocal. Prices are fair ($5+) and they decor is IG-worthy. You'll probably see me there as I get my back cracked next door (which is why I've been patiently stalking their Grand Opening). I'm on the fence if I liked it or not…read more Today I came in and looking for some tasty boba and tea. There was plenty of options on the menu to choose from but I went with the fresh brew Jasmine green tea with the tapioca pearls. The barista was so sweet and kind allowing me to taste test the sweetness level with the tea! They were very helpful and quick too when it came to the final order. The atmosphere itself was fine. It seemed clean and there was a lot of seating areas for people. Nice patio too. The drink itself turned out to be ok. The tapioca was actually not bad but I think it was just too plain. There wasn't enough brown sugar syrup on them so it tasted slightly plasticy... the tea itself wasn't bad but it could have been maybe instead of 50% sweetened we could do 75%. See what happens then.. I don't know if I like this spot. It was very pricey for average tea so I'm going to have to think on it. It's not a bad option and if you want a wide variety of menu this is the place to go to!

All the workers were together talking by the cash register but when we came in, they dispensed and we were greeted. The two taking my order were really sweet, and the drinks came out right away. While they made our drinks, we took photos at the decor wall. The menu is extensive with so many possible combinations so I had to review it beforehand so I knew what to order before I came in. This would be my go to place if I lived in the area. It's spacious enough to bring friends and family to hang out as well! 22 Oz Ca Phe Bac Xiu With Mini Pearls: This was really good. It's a lighter version of Vietnamese coffee so less strong in terms of coffee and sweetness from the condensed milk. It went really well with the mini pearls which is rarely offered at boba shops these days. I only took 2 sips so the caffeine doesn't mess up my sleep. 22 Oz Taro Coconut Smoothie With Taro Pudding: This was a really great combination. I didn't really taste how sweet it was until a few sips in so you have to constantly stir the drink as the ice melts so the sweetness doesn't concentrate at the bottom. The coconut flavor does stand out a bit more than the taro but you can still taste it. The taro pudding was soft and complimented the drink since it didn't give an overpowering taro taste.

Sadly, bubble tea at Yogo Berry falls solidly in the meh category. I've devised a standardized system to evaluate bubble tea that has 3 distinct categories: taste of the milk tea, quality of the boba, and level of Instagrammability. Milk tea: I've had worse, I ordered the taro coconut flavor, and it tasted vaguely of taro and vaguely of coconut. I didn't see them make it but I assume it was with powder. It was sweet and didn't taste too watery. 2/5 Boba quality: they were of good size and chewiness, no qualms here 4/5 Instagrammability: This is where Yogo Berry Bubble Tea takes a hit. Inherently, instagramming a chain boba place that doesn't necessarily specialize in boba brings the post down a notch. Also, the decor inside does not particularly promote a good picture. The plastic cup had a large generic logo, and the cover was a standard plastic top. In this era of social media and businesses, having an instagrammable product can do wonders for a business. See below for a picture 1/5 This review is solely about the bubble tea, but Yogo berry has froyo with many possible toppings and açaí bowls as well.

If you've never had Boba Tea before you may wonder what the hype is all about. It's basically bite size tapioca balls mixed in with a tea flavor and it makes drinking iced tea so much more enjoyable. There only down side is that the tea is a powdered, sugary mixture and I'm not entirely sure any actual tea leaves were involved in the whole process. So basically it's a drink I get every now and then to treat myself. I typically like it when I'm just waiting on the wifey while she shops. Really, drinking the tea reminds me of my time in Houston, so there's a little nostalgia there for me. So if you try it and see like, "what is this?" Please don't blaim me, but then again if you're thinking that right now then I wonder, what's wrong with you!
