Roasted Oolong Tea-Presso Milk Tea with brown sugar boba ($7.25) and a Taro smoothie with pudding topping ($7.25).
    Ame G.

Had lunch next door and was craving post lunch boba tea (how convenient). This place was very clean and so welcoming. They're the sweetest staff and they made our day (thank you Colleen)! On top of that, ROASTED OOLONG TEA was on the menu! I cannot express the rarity of that (quite fitting to find it at "Rare Tea"). Phoenix oolong milk tea is my all time favorite and I chase after it any time I pop into a boba tea shop. So, of course I happily ordered a "Roasted Oolong Tea-Presso Milk Tea" with brown sugar boba ($7.25) while the hubby ordered a Taro smoothie with pudding topping ($7.25). Both drinks were excellent and that roasted oolong tea-presso ranks similar to my favorite Phoenix Milk Tea back home. Dog friendly outdoor seating is also provided, which is another bonus. Great visit all around!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Renè who warmly welcomed us with a smile. Since it was my first time there I wasn't sure how all of the tea flavors tasted and she was very knowledgeable about the teas, the flavors, the pairings of toppings and milk options both plant based and non which made it very useful for me as a vegan consumer. The atmosphere was very mellow and had very modern style tables and stools along with chill music to fit the vibe of the whole place. The wooden tables and chairs created a cozy feel but still fitting in with the hipster vibe of downtown Orlando. Amongst the tea options they also had cold teas with boba as well as icecream flavors and toppings that are served in house made waffle cones. During this visit we purchased the Okinawa tea hot which tasted like a warm, explosion of flavor. The best way I can describe it would be a nutty and comforting taste with what reminded me of biscoff. The next flavor was the brown sugar caramel tea with oat milk. The oat milk gave that cozy vibe of an oatmeal essence that warms the soul. I can not wait to return and try other flavors of these wonderful selections provided by this amazing tea spot. I would recommend for anyone and everyone to go and check this establishment out so they can enjoy it as much as I did.

Very delicious!! I like coming to rare tea on special occasion when im feeling like a treat. Since this isnt ordinary tea, its RARE TEA! I love to get the Strawberry Snow Cream - which is strawberry tea with a cheese foam on the top. I actually didnt know this, but i saw the employee blending up the strawberries fresh! So good! There is a small seating area to chill and drink your teas. There range in price from about $6-9 for 1 tea. You can add boba if you want but its not my preference most of the time. You can also add the cheese foam to any tea. They have lots to pick from - fruit teas to milk teas. Definitely come by and try out Rare Tea! FYI - parking is in the garage behind the plaza and there is 30 minutes for free.

This is one of my favorite places to get brown sugar boba. I am pretty picky when it comes to brown sugar boba but rare tea does it differently. It may be overly sweet for others but I enjoy the combination of milks they use to create the beverage. The staff is always friendly and the interior designing is cute. Their fresh teas are also great. I have tried the passion fruit one and it is delicious. Rare Tea also offers other desserts but I have not tried them yet. It is perfect sweet treat if you are near Lake Eola and want to grab something. Their prices are fair and there is never a long wait (or so every time I have been).

4 stars for some good boba from someone who visits boba at least once each weekend! It's nice Rare Tea also has ordering on Uber Eats, I can get in and out pretty quickly ordering ahead. The space itself is on the smaller side but it's decorated nicely. We've tried a couple different teas, the Viet Coffee when we want a serious caffeine kick, Thai tea and Okinawa Milk Tea. The boba is pretty fresh but sometimes the portion is smaller. It's nice the drinks come with pebble ice, I like the slush at the end when drinking the tea. It can get rather difficult to visit since there isn't any assigned parking but I always order ahead so I can pop in quickly. It's worth giving Rare Tea a try if you're in Thornton Park!

Wow! What a great place! I came in to grab a treat with some coworkers and had a great time! The interior of the shop is beautiful with nice wood tables and calm music playing. The staff were very nice and made such beautiful drinks. I got the matcha rose latte and it was lovely. The matcha and rose flavors were both strong and worked well together. The drink tasted as good as it looked! This is a great place to get your favorite tea treats!

I see this store when I pass by downtown and today I decided to try it. It didn't disappoint me! Friendly staff, simple and cute layout, and their milk tea is good! Flavorful and the sweetness is not overwhelming. #honestreview

Enjoyed a fruit smoothie on a cool Sunday afternoon while listening to soothing tunes in a calm, and clean downtown spot w/ helpful staff more than willing to describe the menu and answer questions.

Initial thought: Beautiful interior and great location being next to a ramen bar. My Thai tea was good- not the best I've ever had. I'll go back and try other flavors.

My friend and I ordered the Caramelized Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk and Okinawa Milk tea. Unfortunately the brown milk was way too thick. It was creamy like how it should be but it was way too creamy that it was thick to swallow. The okinawa milk tea was the opposite. My friend said it tasted too watered down by the ice even when we tasted it right away once it came out. I'm guessing the proportions were off? But it shouldn't have tasted so watered down and the brown milk shouldn't have been so thick that we had to mix the two to get a regular consistency. The only good thing is that flavors were good but off proportions, and the boba was good texture

One of my favorite spots in Orlando for boba tea! Hands down the best place to get a Brown Sugar milk tea! The warm caramel flavor in the milk gives a wonderful warm cookie feel and flavor. The service is always wonderful! The team is very friendly and always warm and welcoming! This is one of my favorite treat yo' self spots in Orlando! I always stop by when I'm in the area. I'll be back soon!

Place is not welcoming. Floor is sticky, its full of boxes everywhere and seems kinda abandoned. The brunette lady was very attentive though. I got the caramel brown boba and it was terribly sweet! Thank God she changed for me. I honestly didn't like the vibes of this place! It bothers me spending almost $10 on a drink where you are paying for the "experience" but there's no experience at all

My rare tea was made quickly and tasted so refreshing on a hot summer day! I ordered the mango passion fruit with boba (25% sweet) I'm not usually in that area but I know I'll be stopping in again to try some of the more flowery drinks.

Please arrive early so that you'll have ample time to find parking and walk to the venue incase you're not lucky enough to find close parking. When our party of five entered, we just milled around for a bit in front of the door until a hostess greeted us. It was a bit awkward, especially since there is no waiting area. Soon, we were warmly greeted and seated. Our hostess began giving us information but we couldn't hear her because her voice was soft and there are many people enjoying conversations at their own table. The noise level is medium, which is fine. I just wish she would have spoken up. You will not know the ingredients of the items that you will be served before-hand which could potentially be bad for those with allergies. When were served our tier of food, there was an insect in our food. I was shocked when the hostess began using her fingers in the food to try and fish out the rapidly moving insect. I quietly suggested that she bring us a fresh tier of food. I guess she was just following her first instinct to "get the bug". A fresh tier of food was brought, but honestly, the scones tasted stale. The bread on the finger sandwiches wasn't very fresh either. Some of the desserts had a strong artificial taste. Overall, the food was surprisingly underwhelming, and some offerings were tasteless and not very fresh. I received the wrong tea and it took a long time to get that corrected. We were instructed to turn our teapot lid over if we wanted more tea, but it seemed to be a futile effort since no one was coming to check on us. I literally had to raise my hand to get attention for our party of 5 on multiple occasions. The table decor was beautiful and thoughtful. There were a good variety of teas offered. I don't think I'll return.

So, any chance I get to visit a tea room, sign me up, because I will be there! It's also pretty dope that it's a black-owned & run establishment. Truly the stuff my DREAMS are made of. So, needless to say, I've visited this tea room in support a handful of times now. The tea selection is not super extensive - but it is good. They also offer other drink options - including champagne if you want to make your tea experience a "boozy" one. The food option is pretty typical of what you'd expect from a tea experience. I always recommend going with a friend or two to make it even more of an affordable experience. Speaking of affordability, it is pretty standard pricing and, one could argue, Pretty in Pink Tea Room does offer a MORE affordable tea experience in comparison to some other tea room experiences in and around the Orlando and greater areas. The food, as mentioned, is good. I've really never had a bad experience with the teas offered or the food prepared. I do not typically go to tea rooms on an empty stomach, so that may also be affecting my overall viewpoint. Parking can get a bit tricky, but there is free street parking on the main thoroughway and additional parking out towards the back of the business block that the tea room sits within. The staff is super sweet, helpful, and attentive. All in all, for it to be a small, local, black-owned tea room experience, it is quite good. The decor is, to be expected, all PINK with cute vintage moments for great photo-ops. They also have various fascinators and props you use to add to your tea room experience and for photo-op purposes. While it is a small tea room, there is ample room to move about the space. Seating is limited, so it is a wise choice to book ahead to secure seating for you and your party. Outside of that, if you have not already, please patronize their business. It's a great spot for a birthday, girls' brunch, tea time with your daughter(s) or mom, or whatever you have in mind!

I love going out for…read moreafternoon tea, but I have quite a few vintage teacups and saucers of my own and decided instead to have a small tea party at my house instead. I had done this in the past, but it was so much work - getting all of the ingredients, making the sandwiches, cut the crusts, etc., and I certainly didn't want to do that for my birthday. I searched online and found Yellow Rose Tea caterers, and it sounded like exactly what I wanted - someone to come to my house, set everything up, serve tea, and then clean everything up afterwards! I contacted Sarah at Yellow Rose Tea, and she responded back right away and answered all of my questions. She then provided a quote, and I chose an available date. There are several tea packages available, depending on if you just want tea, sweets, and scones, or a more substantial luncheon tea. I ended up choosing the Afternoon Tea experience which included salad and soup in addition to the traditional 3-tiered tea tray and scones. After I paid my deposit, Sarah worked with me on the menu for my tea. They have so many choices for each item - sandwiches, scones, soups, salad dressings, sweets - but it was a lot of fun choosing the items. Sarah also reconfirmed that I wanted to use my tea sets, because they have everything for the tea party if you don't - teacups, saucers, silverware, linens, dishes, etc. They also need access to a full kitchen, so they can set up everything. Sarah contacted me regularly and answered any questions I had as well leading up to the event date. Exactly at the appointed time, about 90 minutes before my tea party, Sarah and her sister (Rebecca the pastry chef) showed up wearing cute floral aprons and then unpacked the tea in my kitchen. When I say they brought everything, they really brought everything. They brought their own dish soap to clean the dishes, and tea towels, and gallons of water and ice, and all the dishes. I didn't have to do a thing. They set the table for tea, and it looked stunning. In fact, when I posted pictures afterwards, one of my friends asked what restaurant I was at, that's how amazing it looked. My friends started to arrive, and everyone was very impressed with the table as well. As each Guest sat down, Sarah or Rebecca came out of the kitchen and asked them what tea they would like from a very large selection of Tea Forte pyramid steep flavors and then each person got their own pot of tea. Throughout the party, the Yellow Rose Tea team kept my Guests filled up with tea, replacing tea bags, recommending new ones, and topping off hot water in the pots, and rinsing them out if a different type of tea was requested. From the first course of fresh salads with two types of dressings, to the yummy potato leek soup, to the cranberry orange scones with clotted cream and two types of jam, to the 3-tiered trays filled with sandwiches, pastries, muffins, and sweets, all the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The team timed everything and would serve the courses and then take everything away when we completed that course. It was like being a guest in my own home. Also, I clearly ordered too much food, so there were quite a few sweet items left on the top tier of the trays, and the team offered carryout boxes so everyone could take their leftovers home! As my friends kept saying, the Yellow Rose Tea team thought of everything. As my friends started to leave, the team cleaned up all the dishes and even cleaned my teacups and left my kitchen exactly how it had been. I can't say enough about how wonderful an experience this was. Sarah and Rebecca did a fantastic job, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.
