This place was alright. I feel like maybe they were having an off day. The tea had an odd texture to it like it wasn't mixed all the way and the boba wasn't quite cooked all the way either. I'll definitely have to come back and give them another try. read more

I don't recommend the mango passion fruit green tea because it has that bitter green tea taste and it's a pretty strong taste. The only thing I would recommend in that drink is to get the lychee jelly, the best part!! Haha the strawberry milk tea was really great though. My friends got other drinks and they loved it as well. It's small inside with very limited seating but it has a bathroom inside which is a plus. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because I probably got the wrong drink but the strawberry milk tea was good read more

I m so excited to try this place out. I've seen them online and friends been talking about it from California. I've tried two drinks so far and my favorite is their Matcha Latte with the Brown Sugar Boba. In love with Brown Sugar Boba, first time trying it! Decided to try RareTea before leaving Orlando. I ordered the hokkaido milk tea and the grapefruit tea. I got less sugar for both (I believe 80%) and it wasn't enough sweetness but there wasn't really a strong tea flavor either. The Hokkaido milk tea was a bit bitter, but is that because I asked for less sugar? Not sure I will be returning. read more

Glad I got to try this place the last time I was in Orlando. Fantastic new addition to the boba scene! It is definitely slightly pricier than some other places, think more like Möge Tea than say a KungFu Tea in terms of price. But they are aiming for that more premium tea experience and I think they nailed it. They have a wide variety of fruit teas, milk teas, and other specialty teas and drinks. When I went, I decided to try the Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea. I thought the drink was a great balance between the sweetness of the mango, the slight sour and tart flavor of passion fruit, and the slightly earthy bitter tones of green tea. It all really came together really well! I loved how I can still taste the tea flavor even with so many other flavors happening. Some places, all you taste is sugar and flavoring. But here, the tea itself also gets a chance to shine. I also loved the addition of fresh mango chunks to the bottom of the drink. It further enhances the flavor. Overall, loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the drinks! Just be sure to get here early or at an off time, the space is small and seating is limited so it can get pretty crowded relatively quickly. Will definitely be back in the future! :) read more

Whenever there is a new boba place in town I. AM. THERE. I was very excited when this shop opened up because my friend sent me a video they posted on Instagram and everything looked so epic. They really hyped up their grand opening and I was ready to go! When I finally got a chance to try them out I ended up going too early (oops) and ended up grabbing a light lunch before heading in. First of all, the staff is really nice and very welcoming. You can tell how proud the owner is of their business. I asked a good amount of questions before I ended up choosing their Rose boba tea. I was nervous if it would be overly floral but that didn't end up being the problem with the drink. The flavor was fine but I couldn't really enjoy it because the rose petals they put in the tea were overwhelming and throwing me off. I didn't want to eat them. I just wanted to spit them out. So... if texture is a big thing for you perhaps try something else? Luckily they did allow me to try a second drink and I liked that one much better. It was their Okinawa tea and the flavors were very smooth but honestly a tad bit too sweet so I would ask for lower sweetness next time. All in all I want to come back and maybe try something different again. I tend to always lean towards the classic black milk teas so I would love to venture towards something more unique without the texture issues. I enjoyed the mango passion fruit green tea drink, which had some actual passion fruit pulp too. Price was good for the drink I had. I asked for unsweetened, but it still was sweet. Maybe it was from the fruit juice itself. I still enjoyed it. The staff on Friday evening, Mariela and Ivan, were friendly even when my group of friends stayed quite late. This is one of my favorite boba shops to visit in Orlando. I love Okinawa milk tea and taro drinks. I especially enjoy the taro smoothie with pudding but I could do without their pudding. I particularly love the way they crush their ice small enough that it slips inside the straw while slurping away their delicious drinks. Truly don't know why this place has so many stars. The ambience and employees are super nice but other than that? The boba is horrible. I got mango milk tea and it tasted like soap (verified by 3 other people who were with me). They were nice to switch it to something else that was on their popular menus but it was still mid at best. Our hostess began giving us information but we couldn't hear her because her voice was soft and there are many people enjoying conversations at their own table. The noise level is medium, which is fine. I just wish she would have spoken up. You will not know the ingredients of the items that you will be served before-hand which could potentially be bad for those with allergies. When were served our tier of food, there was an insect in our food. I was shocked when the hostess began using her fingers in the food to try and fish out the rapidly moving insect. I quietly suggested that she bring us a fresh tier of food. I guess she was just following her first instinct to "get the bug". A fresh tier of food was brought, but honestly, the scones tasted stale. The bread on the finger sandwiches wasn't very fresh either. Some of the desserts had a strong artificial taste. Overall, the food was surprisingly underwhelming, and some offerings were tasteless and not very fresh. I received the wrong tea and it took a long time to get that corrected. We were instructed to turn our teapot lid over if we wanted more tea, but it seemed to be a futile effort since no one was coming to check on us. I literally had to raise my hand to get attention for our party of 5 on multiple occasions. The table decor was beautiful and thoughtful. There were a good variety of teas offered. I don't think I'll return.

So, any chance I get to visit a tea room, sign me up, because I will be there! It's also pretty dope that it's a black-owned & run establishment. Truly the stuff my DREAMS are made of. So, needless to say, I've visited this tea room in support a handful of times now. The tea selection is not super extensive - but it is good. They also offer other drink options - including champagne if you want to make your tea experience a "boozy" one. The food option is pretty typical of what you'd expect from a tea experience. I always recommend going with a friend or two to make it even more of an affordable experience. Speaking of affordability, it is pretty standard pricing and, one could argue, Pretty in Pink Tea Room does offer a MORE affordable tea experience in comparison to some other tea room experiences in and around the Orlando and greater areas. The food, as mentioned, is good. I've really never had a bad experience with the teas offered or the food prepared. I do not typically go to tea rooms on an empty stomach, so that may also be affecting my overall viewpoint. Parking can get a bit tricky, but there is free street parking on the main thoroughway and additional parking out towards the back of the business block that the tea room sits within. The staff is super sweet, helpful, and attentive. All in all, for it to be a small, local, black-owned tea room experience, it is quite good. The decor is, to be expected, all PINK with cute vintage moments for great photo-ops. They also have various fascinators and props you use to add to your tea room experience and for photo-op purposes. While it is a small tea room, there is ample room to move about the space. Seating is limited, so it is a wise choice to book ahead to secure seating for you and your party. Outside of that, if you have not already, please patronize their business. I had done this in the past, but it was so much work - getting all of the ingredients, making the sandwiches, cut the crusts, etc., and I certainly didn't want to do that for my birthday. I searched online and found Yellow Rose Tea caterers, and it sounded like exactly what I wanted - someone to come to my house, set everything up, serve tea, and then clean everything up afterwards! I contacted Sarah at Yellow Rose Tea, and she responded back right away and answered all of my questions. She then provided a quote, and I chose an available date. There are several tea packages available, depending on if you just want tea, sweets, and scones, or a more substantial luncheon tea. I ended up choosing the Afternoon Tea experience which included salad and soup in addition to the traditional 3-tiered tea tray and scones. After I paid my deposit, Sarah worked with me on the menu for my tea. They have so many choices for each item - sandwiches, scones, soups, salad dressings, sweets - but it was a lot of fun choosing the items. Sarah also reconfirmed that I wanted to use my tea sets, because they have everything for the tea party if you don't - teacups, saucers, silverware, linens, dishes, etc. They also need access to a full kitchen, so they can set up everything. Sarah contacted me regularly and answered any questions I had as well leading up to the event date. Exactly at the appointed time, about 90 minutes before my tea party, Sarah and her sister (Rebecca the pastry chef) showed up wearing cute floral aprons and then unpacked the tea in my kitchen. When I say they brought everything, they really brought everything. They brought their own dish soap to clean the dishes, and tea towels, and gallons of water and ice, and all the dishes. I didn't have to do a thing. They set the table for tea, and it looked stunning. In fact, when I posted pictures afterwards, one of my friends asked what restaurant I was at, that's how amazing it looked. My friends started to arrive, and everyone was very impressed with the table as well. As each Guest sat down, Sarah or Rebecca came out of the kitchen and asked them what tea they would like from a very large selection of Tea Forte pyramid steep flavors and then each person got their own pot of tea. Throughout the party, the Yellow Rose Tea team kept my Guests filled up with tea, replacing tea bags, recommending new ones, and topping off hot water in the pots, and rinsing them out if a different type of tea was requested. From the first course of fresh salads with two types of dressings, to the yummy potato leek soup, to the cranberry orange scones with clotted cream and two types of jam, to the 3-tiered trays filled with sandwiches, pastries, muffins, and sweets, all the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The team timed everything and would serve the courses and then take everything away when we completed that course. It was like being a guest in my own home. Also, I clearly ordered too much food, so there were quite a few sweet items left on the top tier of the trays, and the team offered carryout boxes so everyone could take their leftovers home! As my friends kept saying, the Yellow Rose Tea team thought of everything. As my friends started to leave, the team cleaned up all the dishes and even cleaned my teacups and left my kitchen exactly how it had been. I can't say enough about how wonderful an experience this was. Sarah and Rebecca did a fantastic job, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

I stopped by RareTea in Thornton Park for the first time and decided to try the Passionfruit Mango with Popping Boba and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The flavor was bold and strong at first, but after letting the ice melt a bit, it hit the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. The mix of passionfruit and mango gave it such a tropical, fruity vibe, and the popping boba added a fun burst of flavor with every sip. The staff was super friendly and patient while I debated what to order (so many great choices!). They even gave me a few recommendations, which I appreciated.
