I went into this cute boutique with a friend. We were both looking for dresses for weddings that we are going to be attending. The selection of and styles of dresses for a small boutique is very impressive. I wish I could remember the name of the woman that helped me out because she was so helpful. She showed me a few dresses and I tried on a couple of them and with her help I found the perfect dress. The dress fabric is from Italy and it looks much more expensive than it actually was. I'm having an incredibly hard time putting into words the Cinderella experience I had at this boutique Saturday. I was to attend my friends Royal themed party that night and was so bummed about my blah hat that did nothing for my fabulous dress. My friend is totally over the top and was expecting attendees attire to be as well. With juat a few hours left I peeked my head in just in case the had a fascinator to blow her away. They did. In fact they had several. I hemmed I hawed. I stressed and debated unsure how the colors would go with the dress. They were pretty and would do The trick but I still wanted more wow factor. The owner Michelle said bring in the dress and she would work with it and wow it up which thankfully I got over my poor miserable me attitude and did LOL! Michelle bent over backwards to make sure I didn't go to this party in a blah hat. She literally remade the already beautiful fascinator into a customized, matching, gloriously, over the top, Alice-in-Wonderland, magical concoction. It was amazing watching her dream up this phenomenal headpiece! She made my day and my fiance's who enjoyed seeing her create this one of a kind masterpiece. I left the shop so excited to go to the party and even grabbed another 40's style hat for my fall wardrobe. We were so impressed with how far she went to see me smile and also waa able to assist other clients with ease. She really knows how to get things done! I had the greatest visit into this darling boutique yesterday. I went in to ask if I could exchange the gift that was given to my mother for Christmas with another print. Not only was I told yes, but the owner is going to order the replacement and call me when it arrives. The owner, Michelle, was accommodating, friendly, not pushy, relaxed and clearly loves what she does. She has excellent taste based upon what I saw in the quaint little shop. It appears to be the old fashioned service of years gone by and more customer oriented than what most of the shops today provide.... well actually, I can't think of another in town that is so personable and helpful. Her salesperson by the name of Laura was equally as friendly, comfortable and happy to help. My boyfriend shops here every year for me at Christmas but this is the first time I've visited the shop and I'm so happy I did. I always receive compliments when I wear what he has purchased at Rascals as it is unique and classy. My favorite boutique by far! Michelle, the new owner, is a delight! I loved hearing the story about how she used to go there as a kid and ended up buying the shop! She has great fashion sense and enjoys helping customers put outfits together! No pressured sales there! When I was there today, she encouraged me to bring some clothing from my closet so she can help me create outfits! The boutique carries some great clothing lines that are always in stock! This small boutique carries a moderately-priced line of ladies fashions. We have shopped there for several years. Today, the owner refused to accept responsibility for a garment which, when we followed the laundering instructions to the letter, failed to retain its shape. After arguing as to fault, the owner reluctantly offered 50% credit. We refused and left knowing we would never return.When we retold this story to neighbors, one commented that exactly the same thing had happened to her in the same store. In thinking about this incident, had the owner gladly refunded our purchase price, she would have sacrificed probably $25 to $40. By her behavior, she lost a long-time customer and reinforced a negative experience of yet another customer. She really showed us who's boss! read more
