Warm, friendly…read morepeople, stylish selections etc. Yesterday I popped into their Lag Nig store (coming straight from my own store) to look for a gift for my daughter. I browsed a bit, took stock in things I'd like, but mentally checked myself that I wasn't there for me However, the sales woman on shift was not friendly. No, welcome or can I help. As a former Nordstrom buyer, great customer service is just ingrained in you. Seems the sales lady took one look at my attire (shop/store uniform) and apparently wrote me off, it was clear as day. When I stopped to ask her if she could suggest something for my younger daughter, where I might find something stylish for a 15/16yo. She suggested 'maybe Old Navy or Target'. Hmmmm....ya know that scene in Pretty Woman - BIG MISTAKE, HUGE!!! Never judge a book by its cover. Coming straight from my store I realize I may not have looked the part to her, but to have an employee make ANY customer/potential client 'feel' they might be in the wrong place, it's not how I would want any of my employees to act. My bank account and I got back into my RR and drove to River Walk. Free People store there was more than happy to help me purchase a few tops, pants and accessories.

I went into Sunny Days yesterday with three of my friends, and we left completely disgusted by the…read moreway we were treated. The two ladies at the counter never acknowledged us when we walked in -- no hello, no smile, nothing. They just kept talking to each other. When I looked at a pair of aviator sunglasses, I politely asked if they had any similar options with a bigger frame. They both looked at each other, exchanged an annoyed, almost disgusted expression, and one of them simply said "No." That was it. No attempt to be helpful, no suggestion of other styles, not even a basic courtesy response. My sister was on the other side of the store and witnessed the interaction too. We both left feeling unwelcomed, and honestly, we sensed prejudice in the way they handled us. I've never experienced that before, but it was very clear from their demeanor. We ended up leaving and walking into Stitch & Feather right down the street, and the difference was night and day. There, we were greeted warmly, offered champagne and water while we shopped, and actually felt appreciated as customers. Shopping should never feel uncomfortable or demeaning. Unfortunately, Sunny Days left us feeling exactly that way. I will not be returning, and I hope the store's management addresses the way their staff treat people.

Searching for a pair of boots in my size was a bit hard, given due to the fact I didn't want to drop over $450 on a good pair ( I know it's an investment but I just wanted a pair for pictures and go to Dollywood) but in the future I'll invest in one. Now upon coming here, I always passed by this store a lot during my time on Del Mar but never really wanted to go in until Friday where I was picking up my dinner from Taqueria Luna (across from them) and had to see what they offer. She told me the biggest size they carry is a ten on which I understand but hey, can't hurt to try some on. Guys...I was not only shocked in the cute cowgirl boots but I was torn between to color, different materials which of course, Paige help me on it. I ended up picking the beige boots since it was leather and it can be stretch upon wearing it, and I freaking love it! They do have a wide selection on boots with different styles and materials, and a lot of heels and sandals too! Not just boots. I also told my bestie to come to see the boots when she have a chance since she too, is looking for a pair. I'll post another update review after my trip with my pair of boots to see how it holds up. My boots cost $129.25 with tax ($119) Honestly, pretty darn good value on boots and yes, I know there is a Boot Country in Nashville on their buy one get three free but I don't want to risk getting blisters during the trip. Gotta get a pair now so I can break them in before the trip.

She showed me a few dresses and I tried on a couple of them and with her help I found the perfect dress. The dress fabric is from Italy and it looks much more expensive than it actually was.
