A+ phone service led me to hire Rascher. A+ plumbing service will have me going back to them again. I had a basement pipe leak. Slow, but steady. The leak was located BEFORE hitting the water meter / valve inside the house, so the water had to be turned off OUTSIDE of the house by the city. A more complicated situation than a leak after the water meter / valve. I called 15+ plumbing businesses to get quotes. Almost none picked up, and I left voice messages for all of them. About 3 or 4 companies called me back and listened to my situation, provided their version of a potential solution as well as a quote range. I believe it was Dave from Rascher who returned my voicemail. He did so very promptly, and he did a phenomenal job at explaining the proposed solution and rationale behind the quote. Thank you, Dave! You are why I went with Rascher. Appointment scheduled for 8am several days later. Day of the appointment, Jason from Rascher showed up early, coordinated with the city ahead of time (who also showed up early/on-time), explained everything as it was happening, wore a mask/face covering at all times (thank you!), and finished quicker than expected, thus decreasing the expected cost as well. I recently had a great experience with Rascher Plumbing and Heating when my boiler needed to be replaced around the holidays. Having pets and guests in my home over Christmas, I was very concerned that a relatively big job, such as mine, could result in multiple days without heat during one of the coldest Decembers that MN has experienced in years. But, Mark and the Rascher team removed the old boiler and had the new one installed and operating within 8 hours. Moreover, Rascher provided excellent customer service from the initial point of contact to schedule the service estimate, all the way through the final inspection process once the job was completed. I contacted Rascher Plumbing when we had a plumbing emergency amidst a pandemic. Water was leaking through our kitchen ceiling from the bathroom above. Rascher wasn't available to come same-day, so I kept calling other plumbers. Another plumber said he could do it and then never showed up, and I haven't heard from him since. I called Dave at Rascher again, who got me on the schedule immediately. Jason arrived today and has been exceptionally prompt, communicative, clean, and knowledgeable. Jason from Rascher came to our place to try to fix a shower faucet that had a jammed cartridge. We were ready to have to remove part of the wall opposite the shower in order to replace the faucet if the cartridge could not be removed. That because we did not want to remove ceramic tile in the tub/shower. Jason was able to remove the old cartridge although another plumber (not from Rascher) did not want to try it. He also replaced a couple of faucets that control water to our wash machine. That was a sort of afterthought but he had the parts in his truck and did that job very neatly and professionally as well. We have used Rasher for decades and have always been extremely satisfied with their service and professionalism. This time was due to some leaking faucets. Dave reworked their schedule to get us in in the same day so we were able to use our kitchen sink again. Jason was in and out in under an hour, had all of the needed parts/supplies. He even checked out the water heater that he installed for us 7 months earlier and advised that it was operating great. We recently had a hot water leak under the concrete slab of our townhouse. A larger plumbing company, with a good reputation, was needed to do the difficult repair. Checking the customer ratings, all indications pointed to Rascher Plumbing. Jason and his helper Jake were very courteous and professional in repairing a leaking water pipe. Concrete had to be broken and removed in our living room to get at the pipe. They were as neat as possible and cleaned up when the project was completed. I had a phenomenal experience with Rascher Plumbing and I didn't even use them! I called, fully expecting to have to pay a LOT of $ for a job that was recommended by a home inspector. But Jeff, who answered the phone, advised me that what I was told didn't sound "right" and to get a sewer inspector instead. Making an appointment was easy! They were able to come out the same day. They gave me a two hour window, then called near the beginning of the window to say they were on their way. Jason was friendly and helpful explaining the issue and the solution to me. I won't have this problem again thanks to his explanations. I thought the price was quite high for the parts and work done.
