Dr Jain has been treating my mother for over 20 years. She is an amazing nephrologist and when my mom's PCP started pushing his own vitamin agenda, took my mom on as her primary care physician. Jenn, her office manager is fantastic. She follows through on any orders Dr.Jain has put in place and always makes sure I know who to call when we are referred somewhere or when my mom needs scans. She is on top of it when my mom is in the hospital. The day she is released I already have a call from Jenn and a next day follow up appt to see Dr Jain. Usually a video call because my mom is very ill. Dr Jain is the best non PCP Dr we ever had. In addition, she has actually saved us many times from mistakes the hospital doctors sometimes made including misdiagnosis! My mom loves that she is hands on and direct. This makes for clear communication and a positive interaction. I am never nervous to ask questions because I know she will tell us the truth in the kindest way possible!! She finds time for my mom even if it means she has to stay late to fit us in! read more

Hands down Dr Rashmi Jain is the best doctor anyone can have. Dr Jain is, first and foremost, not only extremely knowledgeable in her field of nephrology, she knows and understands how the kidney impacts other organs of the body as well. She is not shy to refer and call other doctors for additional diagnostics and is very keen on immediate attention to any condition affecting her patients. On top of that, she has a very compassionate and caring heart. She is very readily available to all her patient at any time. I don't know of any other doctor who truly works 24/7. With her expertise, undoubtedly, she has a very busy practice so that a wait is inevitable. But once she sees you, she's all ears and will answer and explain any concern you might have. You will not leave her office without any resolution, if not a game plan, for your issues. We need more doctors like Dr. Rashmi Jain. read more

Dr. Jain treated my father for 3 years. He started with her before eventually having to go on dialysis in Burlingame and he passed away after being hospitalized for infection along with other problems that probably contributed to his death. I found Dr. Jain's bedside manner really lacking and soon after my father's death I heard from another patient and their family about what sounded like even worse care in their case. So I looked up Dr. Jain on the state Medical Board's public lookup database and found she was investigated for some terrible treatment of patients and was found guilty by the medical board in 2023. She is concerned over the health of her patients, she will take your call in the middle of night, I cannot imagine my turning out the East it is now without her. Dr. Rashmi Jains Review.... Dr Rashmi Jain is an excellent doctor and listens to what you need to say. She goes over all of my mother's kidney problems. She gives very clear instructions. During appointments, our experience is always pleasant the moment we walk in the door. Jen, the assistant of Dr Jain, is always helpful and courteous. Dr Jain is always attentive and evaluates all aspects of my Mother's health, particularly her kidney functions. Dr Jain recommends needed treament and prescribes proper medication. Jain Rashmi should have her medical license revoked. PATIENTS BEWARE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH. My elderly mother had been seeing her for years. She had a whole host of issues that she was never made her aware of by Dr. Jain, which led to the deterioration of her health. (I realize that ultimately my mom is responsible for her own health but at least let her know and provide an interpreter so she can understand). You're her Dr. for goodness sakes!! Part of the issue is that she refused to provide an interpreter for my mom, even upon my request (and I speak fluent English!!), at the appointments where I couldn't be there. At our last (and final) appointment, I tried to ask questions for my mom as to why she was taken off her diabetes med b/c her blood sugar spiked to dangerous levels. She was rude, cut me off, and screamed, "You ask too many questions. I can't handle more than one person at a time". Mind you my mom wasn't even asking questions. She stormed off and never came back. What a completely UNETHICAL PERSON!! How do you do this to your elderly patient of many years??!!! You only behave that way if you are guilty of something, trying to cover things up, and not taking responsibility for your actions. Now I am seeing other reviews and it looks like this is common for her. Remember that the office staff is typically a reflection of the Dr. If they are rude, most likely the Dr. is very rude. Thank goodness I was there to advocate for my elderly mom. Everyone - please do your part and 1. file a grievance with your insurance company, especially if you have Medicare 2. filed a grievance with the American Medical Association. She really needs to get her license revoked so she can do no more harm. If enough of us speak up, she cannot do this to other people. Dr. Jain is an excellent nephrologist. Both Dr. Jain and her staff are always professional, courteous and friendly in person and by phone. She diagnosed me with kidney disease 7 to 8 years ago and my kidney blood values are improving. At one time I did not eat properly for3 months and my blood work reflected this. I returned to Dr. Jain's food guidelines then my values improved and they continue to do so. I follow her guidelines carefully for medication, food, activity, stress management, blood work and follow up appointments. Dr. Jain has vast knowledge about kidney disease to help keep me healthy. Worst place ever ! Have never met Dr. Jain and this does not apply to her. But her front office is the front line it all starts with the staff. Have never been treated so poorly. My dad is battling cancer along with kidney failure and Jen has been no help. She's rude, disrespectful, talks over you, doesn't give you the chance to explain your concerns, clearly she does not have any empathy for families going through a hard time. This is getting one star so I can post. Our visit with Dr. Jain, my husband , just out of a 3 months stay in the hospital , his caretaker and myself, just experienced the worst Dr's visit of our lives. The lack of preparedness and inaccurate statements by the Dr. caused such stress on my husband that he had to leave the office in a hyper state, after waiting for the Dr for 1hr. Afterward he immediately got sick to his stomach, throwing up and I had severe anxiety worrying he would suffer another stroke. Her excuse for the unpreparedness and extreme confusion on her part was " I just got back from Europe and you know how that is". Ahhhh. No I don't. I have never witnessed a doctor behave so unprofessionally. I recently relocated to the Bay area and made an appointment for a physical with Dr. Jain. I found her front-office staff to be friendly and helpful. When Dr. Jain (finally) entered the examination room, she exclaimed that she's "so busy and double booked and doesn't have time for this 'thing' right now." Uh, what? My physical, you mean? She then proceeded to question "how I made an appointment." I explained that she was listed as an in-network insurance provider. She was utterly dismayed that she was listed on United Healthcare's website - though she does accept UHC. I told her that if she's not accepting new primary care patients, her front-office staff shouldn't make any new appointments; it's not my responsibility to confirm her schedule. Dr. Jain remained defensive throughout the entire appointment that I ended up walking out. (She also began questioning where I work, what I do, how close I live to her office, etc. It was SO bizarre.) By the end of our 10 minute dialogue, she did begin to apologize and stated that she had a "very stressful day and she shouldn't take that out on patients." No shit. The cherry on top was when, as I was packing up my things, she said that she'd much prefer to have a 26 year old patient like me, instead of the 102 year old patient who just left. WHAT!? My final words to Dr. Jain were that she should be proud to have a patient who has lived to such a ripe age and is still in good health. This woman is beyond rude. I was put on the defensive throughout the entire appointment - and for no reason other than having made an appointment! Proceed at your own risk. My mother-in-law saw Dr. Jain several years ago for her kidney problems. In 2009 she was hospitalized with lung issues and given a "Do Not Resuscitate" order. Dr. Jain stopped in just because she was in the hospital and immediately went out and took off that order, telling the staff not to give up on her and that she was a lot stronger than they were giving her credit. In late 2013 Mom was hospitalized again. She took a sudden downturn one Saturday morning and the hospital called to say they were putting her on comfort care and expected her to die soon. A few minutes later we got a call from Dr. Jain confirming this and saying that this time she agreed with the assessment. How could you ask for anything more than a Dr who supports you when you need it and is honest when there is nothing more to be done? read more

Dr Jain has been my primary dr for 25 years at least,since she started as an MD. Shes sometimes a little gruff but she knows her stuff. I totally trust her with my health. Expect to wait a while. And she will probably yell at you or reprimand you for being there or rescheduling (me) because shes so busy. But reality is, she will take care of you. And will help you with whatever you need. She might not show it but she cares for her patients. she knows her stuff and I love her! I know she likes me lol! She is a kidney specialist and is very good at her specialty . We clash? Dr. Jain is very unprofessional not only did I have to wait an hour and a half in the waiting room, but I also had to wait 45 mins to an hour to been seen by her for a 20 min visit. Not only that she is very rude and talks down to her staff and patients. When I was in the room with her I felt that she was talking more about herself then what was going on with my health, she also was on her cell phone talking to other people about other patients. (ummmm I hope she knows your not suppose to do that) But one good thing I would say is that her staff were very pleasant and very nice to inform me how much longer it will be for me, and did ask multiple times if I needed anything. I was trying to make appointment for the first time with Dr. Jains, when I called the office, the receptionist asked my name and she asked me couple times to repeat how to spell my name, then I repeat couple times. I don't feel comfortable with her after 4-5 times she asked me just how to spell my name, un-professional to work at doctor's office with poor service. After 15 minutes on the fone just for spell my name, finally I asked if they accept my insurance, she told will call me back, but she never call me back for couple days, when I called the office back, I spoke with her again, her answer was not friendly and yelled at me. My mom has been an ESRD patient of Dr. Jain's for about 8 years. Dr. Jain has been the most dedicated, professional, and personable doctor I have ever seen. Dr. Jain puts her heart on treating my mom's kidney disease working doctors in other disciplines, such as cardiovascular, cardiology, internal medicine, etc. Dr. Jain made all the right medical decisions for my mom during years of care. Dr. Jain connects with my mom not only medically but also emotionally despite the fact that my mom does not speak English.....the brilliant smile on my mom's face whenever she sees Dr. Jain speaks volume about her love for Dr. Jain. Dr Jain is not only extremely knowledgeable in her field, she has a heart of gold. When my husband fell very ill a couple of years ago Dr Jain was the only doctor who never gave up on him. She saw to it that every possible avenue and angle of care was researched, reviewed and offered to my husband. While in the hospital there was not a day that she did not come to pay him a visit. She constantly monitored his status even remotely, as he was later transferred to another facility, also upon Dr Jain's advice and recommendation, so he could avail of the higher level of care he needed. I cannot thank Dr Jain enough for all she's done medically to help bring my husband back with us. He is nearly back to his pre-illness status when two years ago we were filled with anguish and fear over his seemingly dire and extremely acute condition. To this day, Dr Jain continues to follow my husband very closely. I will forever be grateful to her and thank my lucky stars that we found the best doctor there is in Dr Jain. I would highly recommend Dr. Jain. My husband had been acting strangely - was not his usual self. I took him to 2 different doctors, who checked him out and said nothing was wrong. Dr. Jain is by far the best doctor we have ever seen! Extremely knowledgable, caring, and willing to do whatever is needed to help the patient, she leaves no stone unturned. I know because at the age of 46 I have had the life experience to be able to compare and with three family members seriously I'll, I have seen a lot and with that the competence to know who is good and who is not. She is very thorough and by doing so there are no mistakes. (other docs made many mistakes). To the other reviews please know She is a nephrologist, not a primary care doc. When my father was erroneously told by a Stanford doc that he had only weeks to months to live we took him to dr Jain as I knew her from when she treated my husband: she was fantastic! She put dad on a renal diet and we were able to actually make his creatine numbers better! She changed his meds and set up appropriate medical procedures that saved his life! After her help dad said he felt the best he has felt in years and his body and excellent lab results reflected that. There are not enough words to say how grateful I am for her expertise, she is incredibly smart and used that to help my dad. She and I talk frequently during dads care and she explains every procedure, gives me a hug when I need it and always puts her patients first as its supposed to be. But don't go to her for primary care and physicals she is a nephrologist so she is to be seen for acute or chronic kidney disease, trying to see her for routine physicals takes her away from the kidney patients that so need her..
