My wife and I were looking for something good to eat, but we didn't want fast food or the typical sit-down restaurant. We randomly searched "great food near me," and Rasoi Indian Food popped up with amazing reviews on both Google and Yelp. We both enjoy Indian food, but it's honestly not something that's usually in our regular rotation. After this experience, that's definitely going to change! When we arrived, we noticed it was a smaller place, but it was comfortable, clean, and welcoming. We were immediately greeted by the staff. We told the gentleman at the counter that it was our first time there, and he genuinely seemed excited to introduce us to their food. Before we even ordered, he let us sample everything they had hot and ready so we could figure out what we liked. That alone was incredible customer service and made the experience so much better. And then we tasted the food... WOW. Everything we tried was packed with flavor. We were honestly blown away and kept saying to each other that we couldn't remember having Indian food this good before. I ended up getting the combo plate with three different chicken curries, and my wife got a wrap with her choice of chicken. Every single thing was delicious. I seriously could not stop eating. The different curries each had their own flavor, the chicken was great, and the naan bread was AMAZING warm, fluffy, fresh, and full of flavor. What started as us randomly searching for somewhere different to eat turned into one of those hidden-gem finds that you immediately want to come back to. Excellent food, generous portions, great prices, and, most importantly, genuinely amazing customer service. You can tell they take pride in their food and want their customers to enjoy it. We will absolutely be back. If you're in the Menifee area and haven't tried Rasoi Indian Food yet, give this place a shot. Everyone was nice and accommodating here. The food was decent but a bit soupy and the curry chicken had a lot of small bones that needed to be embarrassingly spit into a napkin. I had many bones and almost no chicken meat. When I mentioned it to the owner They were extremely kind and accommodating, offering me something else. That point I was full so I didn't accept their offer but I'm sure they would have taken care of it. It's my understanding that it isn't always this way, that sometimes they use boneless chicken, so I will give it another try at some point. The gravies were thin and most of the foods had the same flavors. If you are local to this restaurant it will do in a pinch if you like Indian food. It is small inside but has a cute vibe and a little bar. There are no fountain drinks and bottled water is free with your meal. read more

This is a great local Family owned Restaurant! Their Butter Chicken was great and I'm excited to come back and try their Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken Pizza. I was impressed by how friendly the Lady that greeted me was, and she offered to let me try to the Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala and other dishes before I ordered it, which also a very nice gesture so I can make the right decision for Dinner. They have a Steam table so it can be a great place for Lunch or Dinner when you're looking to get food to go or you only have a limited time to eat. Two days in a row, and we have no regrets! We're so happy to have such a wonderful local Indian restaurant. Their Malai Kofta is absolutely delicious--I loved it so much that I ended up enjoying my entrée right at the restaurant. We also ordered the Paneer, Mixed Vegetables, fresh Garlic Naan, and a refreshing Mango Lassi, and everything was flavorful and freshly prepared. What makes Rasoi even more special is the warm hospitality. We're always grateful when Chef Papa Primo takes a moment to stop by, say hello, and chat with us. Came in like 45 minutes before closing on a Tuesday night. They ran out of bell peppers for the butter chicken pizza, but it was still so good. Highly recommend getting a side order of butter chicken to dip the pizza in. We got medium spice for the pizza and it was the perfect amount of spice for me (not so much for my husband). Mango lassi was so thick and creamy. The samosas had a good crunch and you can taste the fresh spices; the chutney paired so well with the samosas too, had a lil bit of spice for the green one. They also gave us free naan bread since they had extras for the night. Staff are so kind and wait time wasn't too bad. Someone has been posting on Facebook asking where to get good Indian food in the area and there was an overwhelming response saying Rasoi! It's a tiny spot with big flavors. I decided to try the coconut chicken curry and chicken curry to compare the flavors. Both were so delicious but the coconut chicken was my favorite with the added element of creaminess. My bf ordered the chicken tikka masala and goat curry. He devoured his food and when you see the portion size I'm still baffled he wolfed down the entire place. Everyone inside was super nice and the food was fantastic. I'm so glad I came across that random post and it's only 4 minutes from my house! Who would have thought a hole-in-the-wall Indian joint could make the best burrito I've ever eaten?!? Don't get me wrong, the actual Indian food is pretty good, served directly from the steam table. I'd prefer if the spice level could be turned up but obviously coming from the steam table, you get what's there. But the chicken tikka wrap, made to order, was unbelievable. The flavors of smoky char-grilled meat and veggies were basically the best fajita I've ever had. The cilantro chutney took the place of the best salsa I ever had. The spicy level added the perfect burn (I asked for spicy). All this, rolled up in what seemed like an actual tortilla, made for a 12 inch long Indian inspired burrito that was a solid (literally, check the cross section) flavor bomb. This is my go to Indian spot but I wasn't very impressed this time around :/ the workers are great but today they didn't wrap my 3 combo plate so it leaked out everywhere including my car, they also were pretty stingy with the entrees but maybe I'm just used to them giving a lot idk I decided to try their chili chicken wings today and they were fine, I got medium spicy and they weren't spicy at all which kinda bummed me out. For such a small place, the flavors pack a HUGE punch! You don't even need to have it super spicy to taste all the amazing spices they use in each dish. We were quite lucky to meet the guy behind the pizzas and they even let you taste a few dishes before even ordering so you know what you're getting into. The main reason I wanted to come here was the Butter Chicken Pizza, so we HAD to order it. We even got to sample the Butter Chicken dish before ordering. They let us sample the lamb curry, paneer, butter chicken, chicken tikka, and the makhani. Everything has its own flavor profile and were delicious in their own way. My friend ordered the Coconut Chicken Curry and it was fire without being spicy. We also had to get us some naan and cheese naan sounded like the perfect choice. We left with full and happy stomachs. I can't wait to take my husband here. He's going to be all over that Chicken Tikka Pizza and we're going to have to try the Tandoori Chicken Pizza as well. Gotta try those tacos too. Hubby didn't feel like cooking so I took him out to eat. He chose this place out of curiosity and a craving for something new. We walked in and were greeted warmly by the lady behind the counter. I told her it was our 1st time so she offered samples. Omg everything was sooooooo good! We ordered tikka masala chicken, coconut butter chicken, and veggie korma. I was doing my happy dance! Wow my wife and I were blown away. I've never tried Afghani Chicken before but it was delicious. I guess it's a Friday and Saturday thing. The customer service was great. You can get samples of some of the menu items and i even got my toddler to finally try butter chicken and he loved it. We subbed butter chicken in the chicken tikka fries and he went to town. We did the combo two and it came with garlic naan, I guess it doesn't come with the combo 1. The chicken tikka quesadilla was also incredible. I'm having seconds at home because the portions are large and the I'm loving the flavor. We will definitely be back. I've never seen Indian pizza or tacos so I'm excited to try those out too. We met the owner, Sammy, who has such an interesting background - he's Indian but was born and raised in the Philippines, so he speaks fluent Tagalog! He is incredibly personable, welcoming, and just an all-around great guy. The food is absolutely delicious. You have to try the Chicken Adobo - it's super tasty and full of flavor.The butter chicken and coconut chicken was also delicious. But even being as gluttonous as I can there's always some leftover which makes a tasty morning treat. They also take care of military personnel and the vets with a discount, so all you 'Murica loving soldiers and sailors should come support Rasoi and save. I go out of my way to patronize those establishments that take care of our men and women, and every time I see that total go down I get a nice little dopamine hit in my brain. I do takeaway but they have a casual dining setup which looks nice and convenient. Most Indian food restaurants I've had are more of a formal wait service, which is all good but I personally don't want to go through all that.
