My mom was craving for some really authentic THAI FOOD that had some her favorite dishes. So I came last time with my husband but, today I'm taking my mom to try Chef Maew's dishes. I must WARN everyone that she's very hard to please when it comes to Thai food... FRIED MUSSELS: 10/10 Star of the show! It arrived on a sizzling plate. The mussels were not chewy and the crunchiness of the batter was perfect. Her home made sauce was so delicious!! Better than Sriracha sauce!! I would buy a whole JAR of it!!! CRISPY RICE SALAD (Thai Version): 9/10 It was fresh, flavorful and just delicious! The Thai version comes with Fermented pork (Aka NAM) so this dish is also called NAM SOD KHAO TOD... SUKI YAK (Dry version): 8/10 Very flavorful and spicy but, at just the right amount. It came with shrimp, calamari, chicken and veggies. It was so good but, I think I would prefer the sauce on the side next time because stir frying the sauce with the noodles made it wet... TOGO ORDERS... TOFU SPRING ROLLS: 10/10 The tofu was meaty and soft. It came with 2 kinds of sauce. One was a sweet teriyaki sauce and the other one was a satay peanut sauce! I want more please!! KRAPOW with a THAI FRIED EGG:(ground chicken) 10/10 my husband liked it so much that he only shared ONE bite with me!!! Today is the day, we just ate here and the inside decor is vibrant with the Christmas decor mixed with beautiful cultural pieces! It's huge inside, enough seating and a stage. Food- Appetizers - we got the Fried Wonton filled with ground chicken with sweet & sour dipping sauce. The wonton was crispy and perfect amount of filling! Even without dipping the wonton is already flavorful! Yellow curry with chicken - the curry broth has a good kick, makes you crave to get more steamed rice! The curry had chicken as protein, carrots, onions and potato. I call this the holy trinity of curries to have those veggies! Kana Moo Krob - This is a new dish for us to try. The description says this is sauteed chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly. SOLD crispy pork belly yes! The sauce that they sautéed the Chinese broccoli is my FAVORITE! It was so tasty, the fresh garlic and the pork belly is really crispy! Thai Fried Rice with Chicken with a side of tomato and chopped cucumber! Flavorful and delicious. Iced Thai Tea - I LOVE THAI TEA! Nothing goes wrong with THAI TEA! EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS, full of AROMA, and tastebud goes crazy! We ordered a bowl of tom yum soup, hot wings, bbq pork ribs, and 2 lunch specials - pad thai with beef and garlic and pepper with beef. The soup was served first and our initial taste was disappointing. It was sweet! We're not new to Thai cuisine and we've vacationed in Thailand 4 different times. Traditionally it's supposed to be spicy and sour. Also, the side cucumber salad was bland. It's traditionally pickled in vinegar, sugar, salt and water. Finally a Thai restaurant here in Menifee!!!! This restaurant is a few doors down from Provechos. This charming Thai restaurant opened up last week so we decided to try it. Upon walking in, the ambiance is very soothing with neutral colors and Thai music playing in the background. We were met with a warm welcome from one of the hostesses/waitress. The establishment is very clean and spacious. I love how each table has a live rose in a small vase. My brother ordered the chicken curry and I ordered Thai iced tea and fresh rolls. Someone close by ordered pineapple fried rice and it was brought to them in a beautiful presentation inside half a pineapple! It was so cute! My fresh rolls came out beautifully cut with two different sauces. It was EXTREMELY fresh and delicious! My Thai iced tea was also refreshing and smooth tasting! My brother's curry was perfectly done and chicken was so tender and spiced just right! I do want to mention the food does take a while to come out; however, you can tell the food was made fresh and not "reheated" so it is worth the wait! Not sure how this place is so highly rated. Yes, the food is good, but the portions are fit for a 9 year old. Yeah, my bowl looks huge in the photo, yeah? Yeah? NO. It's an incredibly shallow bowl. That's why you're able to see everything in the curry in the photo. Bc it's already close to the bottom. And service was awful here. Had to ask for absolutely everything, INCLUDING THE BILL 4x. Such a hidden gem for vegans! My children and I were checking out the Community Cupboard Thrift Store and decided to drive around the shopping center to see what else was there after. We were hungry, but weren't expecting to find any decent vegan options in the area. But Melody Thai Cuisine ended up having lots of options! In fact, it says right on the front of the menu that they can make most dishes vegan! We aren't gluten-free,, but for those of you who are, the menu also says most dishes can be made gluten-free as well. My children are 11 and 8. The 11-year-old is up for most things but the 8-year-old is harder to please. None of us are big on spicy food, but I do love mild curries. We ended up ordering Massaman Curry ($13.95) and Chow Mein ($12.95), both with tofu. The curry was a little spicier than we would have preferred since I purposely looked for something without much heat, but my 11-year-old and I still really liked it. Both kids loved the Chow Mein and I was happy to see the 8-year-old so pleased with a meal that didn't include french fries or beans. All three of us look forward to returning and hope more vegans will find out it is there. I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out if you are in the area! read more

Very enjoyable overall. Generous portions, excellent food, helpful staff, great ambience. However, expect inflation to be a factor, as in most restaurants these days. I will definitely look forward to going there again though. You can now get Thai, Chinese, and Korean food in little downtown Sun City. Parking is no problem. The place is so cute, I really wanted to like it, because my husband loved the drunken noodles. Unfortunately we waited a while for someone to seat us after watching the staff look at us and not say anything. Then while waiting 60 minutes for our food one guy that called his order in still waited 30 minutes at the bar, when his food came out he asked for a discount and the server went into the kitchen and asked the owner. We could her the screaming in her language and then in English 10 percent off. Another gentleman that was outside waiting, came in and asked the server if his order was ready yet? This gentleman told her if my order is not ready, give me back my money. I believe they had a few large Togo orders that set the kitchen back for the few tables they had in the restaurant. The sampler platter was very good. My husband loved the drunken noodles and my Son and I did not care for the Chowmein, there must have been a cup of sauce in the bowl. I read the complaints about the wait times but we've been to many restaurants in the area (haun road for example) where the wait to be seated was long, the servers horrible and not knowing what was on their menu or what the ingredients were. Don't ever order food to-go from this restaurant.... you can't call them directly so we ordered online and paid with our credit card but when we arrived, they claimed that they hadn't received our order. We were told we could place our order and it would take about 30 minutes but would have to pay again. We were told that if we were charged twice for the food we'd have to contact the company that they use for placing orders online. They would not take any action to help us. About this time , a lady came in complaining that she had been waiting an hour for her to-go order. We made the decision not to order anything and left. There was only 2 waitresses working and the youngest waitress is just slow in every way possible. The middle age women is no better.
