The online ordering system is great, no problems there. The actual place was a little hard to find as GPS had me going around in circles for a while. It would be good to have some clear directions on the website regarding the location. We ordered an order of yellow curry with white rice and the spicy Thai basil chicken with white rice. Both were ordered as entrees and were $17 each. The curry was delicious and portion was as expected. The Thai basil chicken dish left a lot to be desired. Not only was it plated together (like a lunch portion option), but for what was provided, we expected to get more for the price. They combined the Thai basil chicken and the rice in the same dish along with a few cucumbers and there just wasn't much in the container. In addition, because they plated the rice with the chicken, all of the sauce from the chicken was soaked up by the rice, which in turn made the chicken seem extremely dry. We have ordered this same dish from various places from San Diego to Riverside and have never had the rice automaticalllu combined with the chicken. Based on what was provided, the cost should have been around $10 or similar to a lunch special since that is basically what was provided. We recently tried Melody Thai Cuisine and WOW... what a hidden gem! First off, the location is a little sketchy and tucked away in a plaza, and honestly you would never even know this place was there unless someone told you about it. Don't let that fool you though; the food is AMAZING. We ordered the Tom Kha soup and it was incredibly flavorful. The broth was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with that classic Thai coconut flavor. It was easily one of the best Tom Kha soups I've had. The fresh spring rolls were also beautifully presented and tasted so fresh. You could tell the ingredients were high quality and freshly made. We also ordered the beef Pad See Ew, and it was SO good!! the noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor was spot on. On top of the food, the customer service was excellent. Our server was incredibly nice, attentive, and very helpful with recommendations. She made the whole experience even better. We came on a Wednesday evening! Every Wednesday they have karaoke from 5-9pm. The food was delicious! The owner Chef Maew Maew had us try her new Thai curry pizza and tom yum fries! The pizza was moist and had a savory curry sauce topped with chicken and shrimp. My first time trying a Thai pizza. The fries were crispy topped with lemon grass and bacon. We're new residents to Menifee, and my wife and I were excited to try some local Thai food. That's how we came across Melody Thai Cuisine. This was our second visit to the restaurant. Due to some digestive issues, I can no longer handle certain levels of spicy food, so I was very happy to hear that Melody Thai Cuisine allows you to control the spice level for dishes like curry. I was told they could reduce the spice by adding more coconut soup to the curry, which sounded like a great option for someone with my sensitivity to spice. Ordered: Pad Thai Noodles and Panang Curry (with extra rice) Pros: My wife really enjoyed the food and said it was comparable to some of the Thai restaurants we used to go to in San Diego. The Pad Thai was especially good and very flavorful. Cons: Unfortunately, the Panang curry didn't work out for me. Even though I was told the spice level could be controlled by adding more coconut soup, the curry ended up tasting even spicier than my previous order and was too much for my stomach to handle. Overall, it seems like a solid spot for Thai food in the area, especially if you enjoy dishes like Pad Thai. As we are still new to what kind of foodie places there is around us, we wanted to find a good thai place to eat at. My mother in-law ordered a few dishes to take home for our family dinner. She put the order in for 5:30pm, they said that it would be ready by 6:21pm, but as the time flew, they did not recieve the food till 6:45pm. This was on a Saturday. -Fried Rice had flavor, but was on the pricier side. -Pad thai noodles were on the softer/mushier side when we started eating them at home. -The Sampler, had egg rolls that lacked in filling. Rangoons tasted good. Calamari was oily when you bit into it. -The Eggplant dish we ordered had more beef than the eggplant itself, only a few pieces of it sadly. Also on the pricier side for the portion. -Tom Kha soup was $10 for a small portion, I definitely think it can be improved, even though it tasted alright. I've had better, that had more of that lemon grass flavor. Definitely believe there could be improvement, but I will be checking out other thai places around town to compare. read more

My wife was craving Thai food and found Melody Thai Cuisine close to home, and we're so glad we tried it. The food here outweighs the service by miles. It is unfortunate to have to post this. Menifee finally has a decent Thai place, but the service continues to be awful. I won't go into detail about past experiences... the food is good. They just maybe take on more than they can handle. Quickly learned to not go there if you are really hungry. It's usually best to call in for take-out. Until now. My experience today: I call around 4:37pm. They answer and ask me to hold for a moment. No problem. Now, they didnt put me on hold, they just put the phone down, so I could hear the restaurant. Again, this place gets busy. 20 minutes I wait, listening to the sounds of the restaurant. Finally someone near the phone exclaims aloud about something (my guess is they realized the phone had been sitting there). Another person asks "what happened?" and that's when the phone line clicks and I'm hung-up on. I know it's not wise to assume... but it very much comes across like they realized their mistake and instead of confronting it, they hang up on the customer. I call back. When they answer, I comment that is is incredibly rude to forget about a customer being on the phone and then hanging up on them. The lady one the phone instantly gets defensive and says it's rude to assume it was her (which I never did. I made a general statement). I said, well somebody in your establishment did. She forces an apology and asks if I still wanted to place an order. I said I originally did, but not after all of that. The whole ordeal left a bad taste in my mouth. She says to have a nice day. And I say "have the day you deserve" though they really love hanging up on customers 'cause I couldn't get it all out before they hung up again. Never again Melody Thai. Never again. read more

In the rural South or rural Midwest, Melody Thai Cuisine would be considered "good Thai food". However, in Southern California, Melody Thai Cuisine does not hold up very well. Full disclosure; I've eaten Thai food at more than 50 restaurants along the West Coast, and Northeast. I ordered the green curry chicken, which was watery and had a somewhat weird taste to it. My wife ordered glass noodles with tofu and vegetables. They left out the tofu, and the vegetables were overcooked. We also ordered fresh rolls, which were not that great. I had to wait for about 20 minutes for my to-go food, after waiting nearly 25 minutes before I left my house to go there. That being said, the employees were very nice and seemed to be working very hard. Except for two employees who were sitting at the bar drinking, and talking to each other about random topics. I'm not sure if they were off their shift or what, but it was kind of odd.
