I was craving shaved ice, and this spot hit the mark! The walnut (nuez) raspado was perfectly sweet and creamy, with a generous portion size. I believe the small comes in a 12oz cup, packed with finely crushed ice and plenty of walnuts in every bite. It completely satisfied my craving! read more

First time here, as we walked in there was a male and female at the register with smiles but completely silence. Only downfall. I ordered 3 simple items 2 elotes and a bag of hot Cheetos with cheese. I ordered the ferrero rocher shake and was disappointed. Too sweet and doesn't taste like ferrero rocher which is how they advertise it. I also ordered their green juice the taste was mid and minus points for not serving it cold or atleast on ice on a hot day. I also got the Fresas con creama they were okay nothing really wrong with them besides everything being way too pricy for the quality. read more

I used to love raspado express.1but last night I bought Bionico and when I got home the Bionico smell and had a weird taste,So I call back and ask them if I can get another one because I paid 7.00 dollars for it.So one girl told she couldn't do anything about it because there was nothing wrong with the Bionico.i even took a picture so she can see it with her own eyes.so she said no. It's sad you guys los 4 customer over 7 dollars... Neverrrrr going there....good thing I didn't eat the Bionico if not i would be sick with food poisoning. read more

I like this place for mexican style snow cones. They come in a cup so technically snow cups. I love the variety of flavors. I also love their side items, fruits cups, pico de gallo, greñudas, etc. you can make any combo you like with any fruit or veggies that they carry. Add a little salt, lime and chile powder and you are good to go. We recently had a party and ordered a tray of fruit and we were happy. We specifically told them the fruit we wanted, the fruit was fresh and they we got some of the trimmings to make what is called a Bionico. Granola, shredded coconut, raisins, and sweet creme. I would recommend this especially if you are tight on time. The fruit was fresh, ripe and tasty. read more

Met up with friends for dessert & OMG this place is bomb!! Fresh fresh fruit cut to order with yummy creams with granola & fresh fruit smoothies galore! Parking is easy peasy in this plaza! This lil Mexican fruit stop has all the traditional bionicos, raspados, diablitos & chamangos. They also have savory snacks too! I got the Fresas con crema & added mango... So delicious! It's strawberrys & mango mixed with housemade sweet cream topped with cool whip & a cherry on top. I added some granola for crunch. So in love. Friends ordered mixed fruit smoothie (you can pick your own combination) & cottage xpress (fruit, cottage cheese & honey) and everything was yummy. The prices for everything was very reasonable. Store was clean & open. Service was quick & friendly. It's located in a plaza with ChuckECheese & El Pollo Loco. There's lots of parking in the lot. Definitely recommended!! read more

She provided me with information about the product and let me know about store hours. There are seats available to sit and eat. Finally got to pop m raspado cherry at the Covina location!!! Was trying to find one locally!! I got the trompo and it is TO DIE FOR. tons of fresh fruit: guava, pineapple, mango, cucumber, and passionfruit with alot of nice crushed slushy ice and enough spicy kick to meld it all together. I'm in love. Next wanted menu item is their esquite, which is mexican corn on the cob without the cob in a bowl. YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. Great menu, huge variety!!!! *Updated to say that they usually do take phone orders now. There was only one time in the beginning of pandemic re-opening that they didn't, and it was totally understandable. I really like all of the raspado drinks and fruit concoctions. I'm not a fan of the nachos and curtido items but that has nothing to do with the establishment... I don't like those anywhere. I like the Chamoy raspados (Chamango, Chamarindo, etc), greñudas (shredded carrot, cucumber, jicama, no beets for me), Pico de Gallo, Fresas con Crema, Biónicos and raspados (which can be customized by choosing two flavors). I honestly can't think of a single time that I didn't love what I ordered. As a matter of fact, I think I'll go tomorrow... see you there! read more

I would always come here because of the quality and great hospitality but it has changed so much. I had ordered a "Verde" one of the fresh juices and it was way too sour, you could not taste the flavor. I kindly asked the gentlemen if I can switch it for a chocomilk and I can pay the $2 difference since a juice was $7.95 and a choco milk was $5.85.. But no.....he charged me for a whole new chocomilk, so I paid for a sour verde juice I did not drink and he threw away for me and a chocomilk? Really? I am a supervisor at a restaurant and when one of my customers don't like a plate automatically I switched it out for them or give their refund back. But this......it was just wow. I am 8 months pregnant and I kindly asked and the gentleman and he still refused to help, I even offered to pay the $2 difference and still no! Don't come to this location! I walked into this store at 11:30a their hours of operations for Sunday says 10a. I proceed to order an elote with the cashier and she told me that it would be cold because their microwave wasn't working so I ordered something different. Ordered 2 elotes, cookies n cream smoothie, and a diablito. First we got the smoothie. It tasted like dirty water and chocolate powder. Then when we got our elotes we told her we were missing the diablito. She said we didnt order one. Really? She said she didnt charge us for it so we had to pay and wait. Maybe if they put the music down and stopped playing around she would have payed attention. The diablito was missing the fruit that it normally comes with. We ordered large elotes but the cups were really small so i think they gave us the small. Dont think ill be coming here again.. read more

Prices are affordable always great service and quality Raspados. Sells elotes in a bowl, shakes, smoothies, fruit bowls and more. Only thing I found funny was their flavor of the month "Leche" has been the same for three years. Haha! Oh and $5.00 minimum on card or 75¢ charge. read more

Great place for refreshing and fruity drinks with a kick! We had initially come here with a Groupon but after I used it I returned a few more times without the Groupon. That's how good it is :D I love the varieties of spicy and fruity raspados so I don't think you can go wrong with what you choose! It's a good portion too! read more

Raspado Xpress is a godsend to Covina. Now you don't have to drive to La Puente, Baldwin Park, or even El Monte for these sweet treats. Chamangos, raspados, and liquados are all mere blocks away from home! I went to Raspado Xpress not realizing it's in a plaza I frequent when I'm in Covina. Low and behold, this place offers all my favorites like corn in a cup, milkshakes, and shaved ice. Their restaurant is very clean and the lady who took our order was super nice. In less than 10 minutes we had all the delicious offerings. Only note, this place is hot on the inside! Please tune the A/C, por favor...gracias! How I went without ever trying a Chamango is a great mystery, but I finally ordered one! In a tall cup you have shaved ice, mango chunks, spicy red chile powder, and a long wide straw to sip in to what's a staple dessert in hot, arid Southern California. The power of the chamango is furiously delicious but has some heat too. Moving on, the Strawberries and Cream dessert was another hit! It's strawberry season right now, so these were some of the most ripe and delicious strawberries I've had in a while. I can always get great produce in SoCal, so this wasn't surprising. The creamy part seems to be a light yogurt topped with whipped cream, so while it was yes, very sweet, it wasn't sluggishly filling whatsoever. Raspado Xpress has that heaven sent quality that's great for kids and adults. The prices aren't too bad, and supporting a small business in Covina is a great deed if I ever knew one. Come to find out the buy 12, get one free means you only get one stamp PER VISIT? Doesn't make any sense. I brought my fam bam, bought 3 raspados and only gave me one stamp? My google map took me to the wrong address. The cross street is actually San Bernardino and Azusa and it's in the same lot as the Chuck E Cheese's and the 99 cents store. Anyway, my co-worker was the one who told me about this place and I went to try it out after work one day. I tried their strawberry and watermelon aqua fresca and I was really surprised at how good it was. It was refreshing and I love how they used fresh fruits in the drink. Their small sized drinks are $3.00 but for an extra $.50, you get upgrade to the medium sized and it was worth it! They do accept credit cards but they will charge an extra $.50 for using it. read more

I've been wanting to go to this place since they opened, but never really got around to it. When I saw they had a Groupon, I decided to take them up on the offer. Stopped in here for lunch, and got the chamango. Delicious. The large drink filled me up, it had the right amount of spice and some good chunks of mango. As mentioned, I ordered the Medium Cup (2 Scoops - $8). I selected a milk chocolate scoop and a cookies-flavored scoop. Portion sizes are fair and adequate for its quality. The flavors are delicious. The milk chocolate scoop reminded me of rich, dark chocolate milk. Its consistency felt very velvety, and its strong chocolate flavor almost teetered towards chocolate brownie territory. The cookie-flavored scoop was very tasty as well. This scoop flowed smoothly, and I happily enjoyed the soft cookie chunks within. This had a milder taste, but it felt very satisfying. The difference is probably they have less variety of food now, just mochi and cakes. Flora Bakery & Tea has been in business for almost a year. The quality of mochi is still great, size is still big and cost is still kind of pricey. You get 3 for $20. The exterior & interior design of this store is pretty with flowers and cherry blossoms ( like a garden ) feeling. It has an area where you can sit outside or inside to chitchat and eat your dessert. They have many kind of options. Different cartoon and different stuffings in there for example, strawberry, green apple, peach, Oreo, mango. Each one has a very good taste to it. Ill start by saying I am not a yelper, but I saw the yelp sticker posted on their front window and just had to leave a review. I honestly cannot believe some of the negative feedback others have left on here! I have been a devout customer for a while now and have never left displeased. I can agree with the comment about the bleach smell(but it is not that bad an not all the time) and partly with the customer service issue... The employees are not an enthusiastic bunch, but they're not rude, either. I mean it's understandable that they'd be hot and irritable when their line is practically out the door all day while they are working in the peak of heat... But really my review is mainly about the products offered. All express drinks are AMAZING! Haven't ventured off much further on the menu, but those alone will have you coming back for more. This place may be a little box of heat, but once you've tried what they have to offer, not even that will keep you from going back!!! I rate it 10 stars!!! read more

Raspado Xpress is my go-to spot for raspados. My absolute favorite is the mango con nuez y lechera--it's delicious every time. I've been coming here for the past 10 years, and the quality has always been top-notch. Highly recommend if you're craving something refreshing and flavorful. read more
