I like this place for mexican style snow cones. They come in a cup so technically snow cups. I love the variety of flavors. I also love their side items, fruits cups, pico de gallo, greñudas, etc. you can make any combo you like with any fruit or veggies that they carry. Add a little salt, lime and chile powder and you are good to go. We recently had a party and ordered a tray of fruit and we were happy. We specifically told them the fruit we wanted, the fruit was fresh and they we got some of the trimmings to make what is called a Bionico. Granola, shredded coconut, raisins, and sweet creme. *Updated to say that they usually do take phone orders now. There was only one time in the beginning of pandemic re-opening that they didn't, and it was totally understandable. I really like all of the raspado drinks and fruit concoctions. I'm not a fan of the nachos and curtido items but that has nothing to do with the establishment... I don't like those anywhere. I like the Chamoy raspados (Chamango, Chamarindo, etc), greñudas (shredded carrot, cucumber, jicama, no beets for me), Pico de Gallo, Fresas con Crema, Biónicos and raspados (which can be customized by choosing two flavors). In a tall cup you have shaved ice, mango chunks, spicy red chile powder, and a long wide straw to sip in to what's a staple dessert in hot, arid Southern California. The power of the chamango is furiously delicious but has some heat too. Moving on, the Strawberries and Cream dessert was another hit! It's strawberry season right now, so these were some of the most ripe and delicious strawberries I've had in a while. I can always get great produce in SoCal, so this wasn't surprising. The creamy part seems to be a light yogurt topped with whipped cream, so while it was yes, very sweet, it wasn't sluggishly filling whatsoever. Raspado Xpress has that heaven sent quality that's great for kids and adults. The prices aren't too bad, and supporting a small business in Covina is a great deed if I ever knew one. Anyway, my co-worker was the one who told me about this place and I went to try it out after work one day. I tried their strawberry and watermelon aqua fresca and I was really surprised at how good it was. It was refreshing and I love how they used fresh fruits in the drink. Their small sized drinks are $3.00 but for an extra $.50, you get upgrade to the medium sized and it was worth it!
