Ratio is one of my favorite spots in Rino to head for a beer. I love that they have not one but two huge outdoor patios that's are shaded and come with misters. The fact that dogs are allowed on the back patio is a huge plus too. Overall I'd say the beer here is decent they have some really good options especially if you're an IPA fan. However, they have a carrot saison called King of Carrot Flowers that is one of my favorite beers of all time. It is so unique I can't even try to explain it you just have to go try it for yourself. The bright orange color is a fun plus as well! Pro tip: there's often a food truck parked right outside if you're looking for something to eat as well. read more

Visited the brewery on a Sunday afternoon with a baby. Brewery had no diaper changing stations. When asked the bar tender, they told me I had to go to my car to change the baby. Left without any options, I had to change the baby on the table in the brewery. Not a sanitary solution. Since I'm just not a big beer person it's always tough to find a brewery I like (unless they have sour beer options). But ratio had just what I needed, chill brewery space inside, awesome outdoor space, and delicious beer options. I sampled the blood orange and I got a full pint of their Float On Hefeweizen. I love the fact that if Ratio says it's a blood orange or carrot beer, you actually taste blood orange or carrot (which I can't say I notice at most other breweries). Ratio Beerworks is a sweet brewery conveniently located in the heart of Rino. I visited here a few months ago with some friends on a Friday night, and my experience was fantastic. We were seated right away, and our server was super helpful, and extremely knowledgeable on the drinks available. I ordered the French Saison and it was actually pretty tasty. It had a nice citrusy taste to it, which hit the spot. I'm not really a big beer drinker, but I actually liked this particular drink quite a lot. Our first of many brewery stops while in Denver. This one caught our attention with the fun murals on the outside. It was a beautiful day so we sat out on the patio and enjoyed our drinks along with some sunshine. When we saw the line outside of Ratio Beerworks, our first thought was to go somewhere else. But after a moment of consideration we figured that there must be a reason for the hype and that a short wait could not hurt. This is one of the more lively breweries in the area. They have expansive seating and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The outdoor seating had mist machines going all around us and turf under our feet to make it feel less like we were sitting in the middle of the road. Our server was incredibly friendly. I have noticed that most servers during COVID are a bit less willing to make conversation (which is understandable) but that was not the case here. I forgot what it was nice to have a great server. I ended up ordering the King of Carrot Flowers, simply because the concept of a carrot beer intrigued me. True to its name, the flavor of the beer did resemble carrots, though it was more sweet and subtle than I initially expected. With good vibes, fun beers, and friendly service, there is nothing bad to say about Ratio Beerworks. Though it looks like somewhere that may be over hyped, rest assured that the beer still delivers. read more

Mega chill place! My wife and I were brewery hopping, and visited here based on a friend's suggestion. Wide open space with tons of seating. We usually try some beers, and first sip we can be like, "meh", "gross", but this time we were like, "Yaaaaasss!" We loved the beer so much, we ordered shirts. The bartender was nice, and gave us some free stickers. Also, side note, I love that some breweries in Denver have a photo booth w/ their logo on it. Delicious beers, Great Music, & always a good time at one of the best breweries in RiNo. Ratio is one of the best breweries in RiNo, if not also in Denver. They are consistently putting out good beers, weather it's their flagships like their CityScapes Mexican Lager or Seasonals like their Darklands Dark Lager. Ratio has an amazing amount of outside space, thanks in part to Larmire being shut down for more outdoor seating. They also have an impressive inside space that has room for private events in the back. One of my all time favorites is on tap currently, but not for long, The King of Carrot Flowers, it's a carrot and Elderflower Saison. It's perfect for the fall and has all the right flavors that just makes you want more. Don't sleep on this brewery, definitely a top 10 in Denver! read more

When I think of Denver - I think of breweries (well the Rockies and breweries). And upon visiting Denver, it is easy to get overwhelmed trying to fit all of the good and worthwhile breweries into a visit. Ratio Brewworks is one of those breweries that NEEDS to be worked into any beer lovers stop. We happened upon it on a Saturday and hit it up because it was open before all of the other breweries in the area (11 opposed to noon). I had never heard of it before, so we popped in to give it a try. The brewery is located in RiNo (river north) which is a really near neighborhood with a lot of breweries, good trucks and wall art. The girl behind the bar was super friendly and, giving us the brewery background. She was really into Ratio and really pumped us to try ALL the brews they had on tap. Wish I could remember her name to give her a shout-out on here. You could order flights in increments of 4 or 5 and since they had 12 brews it was easy to order them all to try. My favorite was the the double brown and the runner up was their Carrot brew (sounds weird I know but it was soooo good). They have a neat outdoor patio as well as plenty of seating inside. It also seems to be where a lot of brew tours stop so you know it's gotta be up there in the top brewery stops in Denver. There is also a photo booth there that you can get photos done but it didn't seem to be working when we were there. We had a good time and plan to be back whenever we are in the Denver area next. read more

Really tasty and interesting beers! I started with the carrot elderflower saison (King of Carrot Flowers). It was earthy, fresh, and so unique. It was definitely my favorite and perfect for a warm summer afternoon. After the saison, I ordered the Sparks Fly, an IPA. It was a great, classic IPA. Hoppy, crisp, and juicy. Service was a bit slow, but they also seemed understaffed (which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon). Our waitress only came by our table 2-3 times during our multi-hour stay, and I saw multiple people hop over the rope to bypass the host who was checking for masks/IDs. read more

I was able to visit 4 breweries in Denver on my recent trip and Ratio Beerworks was my favorite place. I like the decor inside and outside. I love the space because the indoor area is still open to allow for fresh air. I really enjoyed the large outdoor space though. My boyfriend and I brought our dog with us to Ratio and were pleasantly surprised that there were so many other dogs. As for beer, Ratio also served my favorite beer. I really enjoyed the Rented World Session IPA and Undone Experimental Hop Project. Both beers had a lot of flavor and were easy to drink, since they were not overly hoppy. I know that Ratio Beerworks will be on my go-to list every time I'm in Denver. read more

I feel kinda bad writing a review for this brewery, because I think I both picked the wrong day, and also that it's just not necessarily for me, in that when I was there (and according to their website, also currently), the majority of their beers were pale ales of some sort or another, and none of their beers were particularly exotic, they were all pretty traditional styles, so if you like that sort of beer, you'd probably have a different opinion (their most interesting beer was a "chocolate scotch ale", which I didn't really get chocolate from, but was a totally solid scotch ale). It was certainly inexpensive for the quality, though - $2 for a taster, $5 for a full pour. I just would've been happier if more styles had been represented. Their indoor bar area was also pretty loud and cramped, on top of which they were playing punk music pretty loudly, so it wasn't the sort of place I would have wanted to hang out in anyway - though if it hadn't been so super-sunny (this was back in October over GABF weekend; I'm just catching up now), they had an attached outside patio area that would've been a lot quieter and more chill. read more

One of my favorite breweries to start at in RiNo! The indoor area is spacious with a lot of high top seating and standing room. The baristas really know their beers since they make them on-sight in the back. I typically ask for their opinion given the two options I am torn between, "this one is more popular, but this one is better". I went with taste and enjoyed it a lot! Outside is also spacious with communal wooden benches. Again plenty of sitting and standing room positioned in the sun and shade. It's nicely fenced off allowing for a dog friendly on-leash area. Towards the back there are two games of corn hole with additional seating in front of artistic graffiti. Although Ratio does not serve food they make sure a different food truck is on site each day. I came in here midday on a week day as my friends and I made our way from brewery to brewery trying different beers. While I usually have a flight, I decided to get a full glass of their strawberry sour. They only had a few beers on tap, which shocked me because most of the breweries in the area have a large selection and variety of styles. The sour was excellent though. Amazing color to it (gotta get those photos!) and it wasn't overly sour. Really enjoyed it - it was refreshing. The place has a super chill atmosphere - at least on a weekday. After a full recovery from altitude sickness at the last brewery we went to, I was excited to test out another one of the many breweries that Denver has to offer. My friend that we were with was leading the way and we ended up at Ratio. It was a really cool space that wasn't huge. But the high ceilings made it feel a whole lot bigger. With it being in the afternoon on a weekday, it was not very crowded when we got there. But by the time we were leaving, it was starting to fill up. Compared to the last brewery we went to, they didn't have a huge selection. But what they had was very diverse. Again, after an altitude ordeal, I wanted something light. Ratio has a TON of seating area, even with Covid affecting their capacity. The street here has been shut down from cars, allowing Ratio to add lots of tables for outdoor seating which is a huge plus! The brewery itself doesn't serve any food, but there are always yummy food trucks located right outside, and you can always order take out from Barcelona wine bar or shake shack! A bit of a line when we first showed up but it moved quickly. The 4 stars comes from the beer, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything amazing. I think I enjoyed the Sparks Fly (Juicy IPA) the most of the 4. The Antidote and Float On were not anything special in my opinion. Great ambiance here, the location and staff are fantastic, I just believe you can find better beer at other breweries here in Denver. read more

3rd stop on the mini brewery tour! These places are either getting better as we go or I'm starting to get looped, probably both. This was my favorite so far. I know it's minor, but it was really nice to have the beer menu over the bar and not a QR code! I'm not docking or giving points to the breweries for it, just an observation. This place had the largest indoor space and the largest outdoor space also. We chose a seat outside as they had a large tent/canopy overhead with plenty of seating. Was really nice. As for the beers, I tried 3 and stayed away from anything over about 7%abv. They had nice options for all. The winner for me was the smoked one. Very unique and was like drinking a beer and eating burnt ends. Maybe not something everyone would enjoy but I found it delicious. Overall 5/5 for the space and 5/5 on beers. Cheers! read more

This is in my top three of the breweries we visited in Denver. One of my other faves, Epic, recommended we head this way after leaving them. The atmosphere is just awesome and the staff is really helpful. The outdoor space is plenty and inviting. I enjoyed an Antidote which was great, and the second beer, i didn't write down, but it was a double IPA, I believe, and it was AWESOME.
