However, my order was complicated because of food allergies and the person who talked to me over the phone was super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Been a regular here, about once a month since late 2025. This is a quite small restaurant, but very lovely, and romantic atmosphere. The servers are very nice, friendly and polite. So glad we tried this place for the very first time and added on our list of favorites. Oh. Minor point but noteworthy, their payment system gives you this convenient option of paying by handing your credit card as well as scanning the QR code on the receipt to pay online. Not only was this a great food encounter, it was also a chance to experience a local, unique eatery. I am not sure which aspect was more enjoyable, but the two together made our dinner quite memorable. The location in downtown Watertown enhanced the experience as the cozy, vintage setting in the town- center strip exuded the feeling of a small local family restaurant. We made a reservation and this is recommended since the dining room offers limited capacity. Parking was a little tricky but we found a spot on the street across from the diner. Beware that you might have to exercise a bit of patience in this regard. Because of our reservation, we were seated right away. Our server attended to us quickly and did a great job of looking after us all night. My colleague, who had been to this place a few times prior to this, suggested that we start with Ida's Meatballs. It was presented as four decent-sized pieces and they were not only plentiful in portion, but also were quite tasty. For his main, he had the Short Rib Ravioli. The pasta was stuffed quite full with short rib meat. He invited me to try a bite and I thought it was excellent. I chose the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, one of my favorites on American Italian menus. It was terrific having just the right amount of kick. We topped off the meal with dessert. He had tried the Tiramisu before and insisted that I share at least a couple of bites. It was outstanding. I decided on a finisher of my own, however, with the Affogato. It was quite lovely with quality ice cream and good coffee. It provided a right-sized dessert portion for me. Overall, the bill for the two of us that included the food, a glass of wine for me (a lovely Chianti), tax and tip was close to $60 per person. For the quality of the fare, I was not unhappy with this value. I'll look forward to the chance to try this place again. My colleague tells me it is a go-to for him when he's in the area, so I'm sure I'll have another chance to visit. read more

Ravello has high ratings and now I know why. We were a table of 4. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. It is neighborhood intimate. Every type of guest was present: young family, friends, couples, etc. Really enjoyed the vibe. Calvin was a very attentive server. Explained several dishes on the menu. We started with the calamari which was very tender. We also shared a watermelon, fig and feta salad. The salad was refreshing on such a hot day. Our meal came with fresh bread and olive oil. We had the lasagna, shrimp fra diablo, pasta with vodka sauce and the scallop special. The pasta is homemade. Every dish was amazing. The seafood was plentiful. The lasagna portion generous. A pretty solid restaurant for overall good Italian food. The garlic bread with parmesan didn't have a super strong garlic butter taste but was still yummy. I ordered the chicken marsala and the pasta texture of the dish was AMAZING!! The chicken was also sooo tender and they gave a lot of chicken with it. I was not a big fan of my friend's mussel dish though. The mussels had a very strong mushroom taste that felt like they permeated the dish and the sauce wasn't the most flavorful either. The atmosphere of the interior itself isn't very fancy, more cozy, with a small tea candle at every table and the tables felt lacking in some privacy so this spot would be much better off as a hangout place for family, or casual date, than something more formal. read more

Came here for an early dinner and was impressed with the quality of the food - the fresh pasta and produce came together as thoughtfully prepared dishes from scratch that were tasty and enjoyable. Our group of 4 started with the fried squash blossoms, which were a nice bite served on a sweet strawberry fig compote. There were only 3 of them and 4 of us, so I wish the server had said something. For entrees, we had the short rib ravioli, scallops, chicken parm, and chicken broccoli alfredo. The ravioli was the star, and each ravioli was generously filled with short rib in a fresh wrapper that was blanketed with a very delectable marsala cream sauce. The second favorite was the scallops and the lemon cream sauce was lovely. The classics hit too, with the alfredo sauce being nice and light and not too heavy, and the chicken parm had 3 big pieces of chicken with a flavorful red sauce. We finished with creme brulee and cannolis, and both were delightful. The space is clean and bright and was recently updated. The walls were painted colorful pastels that kind of reminded me of Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. Acoustics were sometimes challenging and it can get a bit loud. Service was friendly, but spotty and our server needed to be flagged down a few times. Overall the food was good, and I'd return when I get a ravioli craving. read more

We were a party of six on Saturday evening . Matt was our waiter ~ an excellent young man . A third visit here and for a very good reason. Each dish we had was absolutely delicious. The arancini , crunchy on the outside and succulent in the middle . Their meatballs equally as yummy . A wonderful house salad and eggplant appetizer were all fabulous. My ravioli with a sensational sauce is a must . The penne with vodka sauce and crumbled sausage also a favorite. Linguine with clams had a nice kick ~ my grandson had seconds ~ less heat the second go round . Their desserts were also amazing ~ tiramisu and crème brûlée were perfect . This spot is a true neighborhood find with a lovely, comfortable interior -- no (overly) gaudy Italian restaurant sign outside, no plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling or murals of Venice. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place was a real disappointment. The prices suggest a nice Italian meal, but what we got felt more like cheap fried fast food. We ordered the Veal Parmigiana ($39), the baked Italian cod ($30), and garlic bread ($7). The garlic bread came out overbaked and black. The veal tasted like a pre-made, frozen fried food and was not worth the price. The baked cod was buried under a thick layer of breadcrumbs instead of being a simple, fresh, healthy dish. For what they charge, I expected authentic, well-prepared food, but that's not what we experienced at all. I would not return and would recommend others spend their money elsewhere. I stumbled on this gem after work one night and the staff recommended the breaded gluten free chicken parmigiana and it was absolutely delicious they really do this very well and honestly it's one of the best I've had and will definitely come back when in the area. A wide variety of gluten free options with the various pasta sauces. Highly enjoyed my time here. The beet salad was also good but the start was the entree. I had a 5 star experience here. The food was incredible. I will return. Hidden gem in Watertown. One of my new favorite places now. Quaint interior. Super nice staff. Awesome apps. Highly recommend the mussels. The cheese garlic bread was good but I will sleep skip it because it's so filling. The bread that comes with the mussels is grilled to perfection. I wanted more of that for dipping. Pasta was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The portion reminded me of Italy, not the heaping amounts you get at most chain restaurants. Nutella Zeppoli. This is a small venue but the tables are nicely spread out and though there is a bar for people to eat, drink, and chat at, it did not interfere with our lovely dining experience. We heard great things about this place so tried it tonight for my BD dinner. What a disappointment! The chicken marsala was dried pieces of chicken breast with black pepper - absolutely NO hint of marsala wine or butter or garlic. The pasta was fair but bland and nothing like homemade pasta I've had elsewhere. The bolognese parpadelle had barely any meat and the pasta was gluey. No complaints about the garden salad. I have no idea how this place got 4 stars. It doesn't come close to Nappi's in Medford for freshness and flavor and wonderful homemade pasta. I'm afraid this was a one and done for us. read more

The place is nice, the ambience is cool. It's a small Lil place. I asked for a menu looked over the menu. Something about the menu was weird to me. The restaurants name isn't on it. That's nothing negative just something I found weird. Noticed it was a bit pricey so I figured it was about to be good. Especially after I walked in there and all the tables but 1 were empty and one of the employees told a guest that came in that all the tables were reserved. I thought for sure this food was about to be the highlight of Trapelo Rd. I was wrong. So it's $20 for the chicken parm. You get a Lil bit of pasta and two big pieces of chicken. It wasn't good. I only took a few bites and couldn't anymore. I bought 2. So $40 for food I had to get rid of. Even my kids wouldn't eat it. I remade it adding some ingredients and new sauce the next day and it was a Lil better. I'm so sad it ended up this way. read more

Love the pasta here! The texture is excellent and it tastes very fresh. We tried the pappardelle bolognese and the shrimp fra diavolo. The pappardelle and linguini that came with the shrimp were very good. I also really enjoyed the fra diavolo sauce. The shrimps were bad though. They were big, but tasted like they'd just been thawed from the freezer. The texture was also tough and stringy. Overall, would definitely recommend this place for pasta but avoid the shrimp. read more

Had a reservation for 5 people on a Saturday night. Arrived almost 30 minutes early and they were able to seat us right away. Service was great. Food and drinks were even better. This was the fourth time I have been to Ravello since 2021. It was the first time for my husband, and I chose it specially for our date because he wanted to try it. I had raved about it to him when I went with friends previously. I hadn't been there in at least a year, so I'm not sure if management might have changed. We had a 7 PM reservation. We were sat promptly. The ambiance is lovely and romantic there, with little candles on the tables. The bread service is lovely. On two of my previous visits I had the gnocchi in pesto sauce. I was really looking forward to having it again, but it wasn't on the menu. I asked our server and he said they don't have it anymore.
