As I am a beach person, I love the beachy colors and and vibe of Big Lick. I have eaten there…read morebefore but not for a long time and I can tell you that the fried shrimp was outstanding. I rarely say anything is outstanding but the shrimp were perfectly fried, not overly breaded or tough. And the portion size was more than generous! Their fries were the perfect texture of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sooo good! My husband ordered chicken quesadilla and said that they were the best he's ever had. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the silverware was on the cheap side but the food was so good, it didn't really detract from the dining experience. So glad we decided to go there. It is definitely my new go to place for shrimp. The only thing missing was the ocean.

Ever since my experience at zipps I have had a rough time adjusting to the grill setting and sometimes panic a bit when eating at various restaurants. I walked into this grill fully expecting a rough time on my end and all of the trauma rushing back like a water stream on a windy day; but the second I stepped into the grill I felt a overwhelming yet relaxing weight get lifted off of my shoulder as if I had been drowned my whole life and just got a moment to breathe at the Big Lick Tropical Grill. As I venture through my life I see more and more I do not fit in many places and often have a rough time; for the system society has built is only a cookie cutter for what a man should to be. I walked into the Big Lick Tropical Grill with an expectation, an expectation that I would have a good dining experience and tasty food. but the more and more I look back at my time from Big Lick Tropical Grill the more it seems that there is something truly special about that place, something I have never felt before such as a second of peace or a genuine human. I would like to say this is the best grill I have been to and ever will go to, if only i could move to the small town of Lynchburg but my rockstar lifestyle prevents me. Big Lick Tropical Grill has changed the way I view the world and perceive human interaction, from the bottom of my heart I love this place and highly recommend

Brian was our server both times, and he even remembered what we ordered on our previous visit--a level of hospitality that's hard to find. I had the salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and my wife happily ordered the crab cakes again because they were just as delicious as she remembered. P.S. Don't leave without trying the Dreamsicle cheesecake--it was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal!

Our waitress, I believe her name was Emily, was so sweet and very helpful when it came to deciding what to order. She was very personable, and we chatted with her about all kinds of things whenever she'd come by the table. This place had comfortable booths, and a lovely bar. They have a great happy hour menu, which we ordered from. Do not miss the truffle popcorn. I am still dreaming of this! Truffle oil and parmesan cheese on perfectly popped and salted popcorn. We also had the hot honey and Parmesan chicken wings which were crisp and delicious, and a harvest salad. So good. We would be here all the time if we lived close. Do not miss this place if you are in town!

Free parking is available within steps of the hotel and no need for valet service (unless you want it). I also highly recommend the Skyline restaurant on the top floor for good food and superior service. My only negative, and this is not about the hotel, is that Lynchburg seems to be a dying town (and least in the area of the hotel). I never felt unsafe while walking around (the Lower Bluff Walk is nice), but on a Monday afternoon it felt like a ghost town. Nevertheless, if I'm ever again in Lynchburg I would stay here again.

The hospitality was so genuine. We made reservations at the Skyline for 7:30 and our friend meet us early, so we went to the William and Henry's bar area for a drink. That location is at a lower level. Either location was perfect to eat or drink. We had great service and excellent decor at both. Fish and Chips was one of meals enjoyed on the roof top restaurant , the meal tasted so good it was like it jumped from the water up to that height. The other two had Harvest Salad one with the chicken and I had the grilled shrimp. All I can say it was delicious, nothing left on either plate! Tasha K was our server at the rooftop and I did not catch our other servers name. The whole experience has made us soon to be regulars.

You go to Sean to report someone working beside you and asking you if you can read in a smart butt way, and yelling at you and you dont get help. Personally if you dont take care of your employees when they have a problem with another employee, you should in no way be a GM! This needs to be addressed with Sean Immediately. Chili's already has a very reputation in Lynchburg for their raw and rare food being sent back, with the GM being this way its going to lose even more business. This is also being reported to HR. This is not the only person this has happened to. Also the health department would love to know of unpasturised Eggs bought from home being put in their cooler and cooked in their kitchen. Open containers and non dated left over food in the cooler. HR will be informed of ALL this! Now, does a person being fired , no fault of their own sound fair to you? Would you work with someone yelling at you and your GM do nothing about it. Rush or not you stop and take care of your employees when they are crying and come to you!
