    Smoked chicken wrap
    Mary Beth B.

We sat outside with our dog and it was beautiful weather! A few trains came by and it's just such a cute area of Lynchburg. We started with the chicken nachos. I like them. Didn't love them no think they use a curry powder in the sauce or on the chips and it was a tad too much. I got the avocado smoked chicken wrap and it was really good. I could only eat half. My side was the deviled egg pasta salad. It was meh. My husband had the steamed shrimp and a side salad. He loved it. Waiter was great attentive and brought us a bowl of water for our dog. great casual spot!

And this was the view from my table. This doesn't make the food very appetizing.

Ambiance at 5:30pm was more suited for the 7:30pm crowd. Read the room. When people keep leaving after asking for to go boxes or asking to be moved it's time to ask the drummer to chill.

Love the space. Love the street and neighborhood it is in. Love the beer selections. It has a restaurant area downstairs, bar area and tables on main floor, cool decoration and signage, and a really cool outdoor area near the river. It is a great place to watch sports, with TV's galore. We just stopped by here for a couple of drinks and had a good experience overall. I had the 6th Lord IPA that was local, and it was an awesome local beer. Wife and her sister had a couple of house cocktails for the first one, and then a mixed drink for the second, and they were solid also. The atmosphere is energetic, and the place is unique. I imagine it is a really fun place at night, or on fun days to be eating and drinking outside. I give it a solid 4, as our bar service wasn't as personable as I like to have, and the rotation of bartenders ended up in an incorrect tab. We got someone else's tab initially, and then ours, which was also incorrect. Bad call on my part to note that, as they gladly added the missing drinks in full (could have met us in the middle on a mistake) and ran my credit card twice. But, just being a picky ex-bartender of 14 years who judges things a lot on service received. But, sample size of one. Overall, this is a really cool spot in the downtown area and a very solid 4. Again, loved the space, the area, and the local beer. Definitely recommend stopping by here, and see you there (the next time I am in Lynchburg)...

Mexican-inspired corn dog and sweet potato fries

We happened to be heading through the area on a trip home and stopped for lunch. The seafood caught my attention so we decided to give it a go. There's quite a bit on the menu. I went pretty simple, the fried oyster po boy and fries. My wife had a Mexican inspired corn dog with sweet potato fries. Po boy is a decent size, good bread, and the remoulade was tasty. I don't always go for mayo-based sauces, but I'm glad I didn't skip it. The location is quite large with a unique layout. Staff was also quite friendly. We're in around brunch/lunch and whole busy, it didn't feel overcrowded. I'd like to sample more of them menu if back in Lynchburg.

This is our go to place when we wanna eat downtown. My husband loves the oysters and I typically had the burger until trying the chicken blt sandwich...best chicken sandwich in the area! We suggested to the waitresses that it be added to the menu instead of just a special. Service is always great when we go here no matter how busy it is. It's always an overall great experience. Love that they offer indoor and outdoor seating and pups allowed outside!

    Garlic cheese curds

Sat outside and the weather was perfect! Saturday night and it was decently filled, got sat quickly along with orders taken. Started with the garlic cheese curds with marinara sauce, pretty decent and was $10 for 1-2 people. Main dishes ordered were the crabby poppa melt and the po boy ($16 and $18). Both were ordered in the traditional sandwich version although if I were to order the melt again I'd take them up on their option to make it a quesadilla!

Random stop, we loved everything but the bathrooms ( they are a standard "bar" bathrooms), but the beer burger and chips were awesome, and our server Anna was fantastic. The best part was both the dogs could sit with us outside!

We found ourself in Lynchburg for the day and love a good hot dog so we hit this for lunch. It was a gorgeous spring day so we sat on the patio and service was quick and friendly. No drinks since we were driving home but we loved our dogs! They had a lot more we would like to try so we'll definitely be back!

Go for $1 oysters, $1 off a huge 32 beer draft list and the knock cheese and crab fries. Beautiful location, great service - a home run.

Upscale without being stiff, comfortable without losing that polished feel. I ordered the jambalaya, and it was a standout. Well layered flavor, not overly heavy, with a nice balance of spice and richness. The proteins were cooked properly and the vegetables still had structure, which matters in a dish like that. It felt intentional, not just thrown together for a brunch menu. Across the table, the Eggs Benedict was equally strong. The hollandaise was smooth and properly seasoned, not overly lemony or thick, and the eggs were cooked right where they should be. That is often where places miss, but this one didn't. Dessert was where things really elevated. The strawberry cheesecake was clean, bright, and not overly sweet, with a good texture that held together without being dense. The chocolate Rasberry glutin-free dessert torte, was rich in the right way. Deep chocolate flavor without crossing into heavy or overwhelming. Service was attentive without hovering, and timing between courses was well paced, which is not easy on a busy holiday like Easter. Overall, this is a place that clearly pays attention to execution. Not just presentation, but flavor, balance, and consistency. That is what separates a good brunch from one you remember. We will be back.

Server wasn't much help and said she was new. Service was slow and embarrassingly bad. Our food was subpar and nothing to write home about (we didn't even take photos) - the best bite was the Thai Chili sauce Brussels. 3 out of 4 at our table had a that a veg side and everyone liked them! My wife had a the filet, which wasn't very tender. We came for dinner based on advertisement of a James Beard award winning chef. Abby was very attentive and came to the table frequently to check in and do refills. To start off this dining experience, we ordered the crab bites and a couple of clam chowder. First off, the clam chowder was great. It was one of their special items for the week, so it may not be available every visit. The crab bites were just okay in my opinion. The remoulade they were served with did have a good flavor though. I probably wouldn't order this appetizer again on a future visit. I've had a couple of people tell me to try the hushpuppy basket on my next visit. For the main course, I had jambalaya and would definitely have it again. The sausage, shrimp, and chicken were perfectly seasoned with all the Creole spices you want and expect with jambalaya. The people with me had fish and chips, crab cakes, and the Low Country boil with crab legs. Everyone was pleased with their main courses and agreed that they would come back to try more items. Overall, I would say this was a good new option in Lynchburg that's definitely worth a try, especially if you're a seafood lover. Can't wait to see how this restaurant develops after this soft opening week.

I don't even eat oysters but know these were a failure. I had a sub that was described as being piled high with roast beef and served with an au jus. But instead it was minimal meat on tough bread with a dip made of onions and what tasted like great value brown gravy. It was our first and last visit, honestly if I could go back in time we wouldn't have ever gone the first time. We ended up here because the place we wanted to eat was packed, no issue getting a table here which should have been a sign. Oh and to top it off when it was time to pay we were told sorry we gave your ticket to someone else so here's their ticket, it's about the same as yours a little less probably....umm what? We paid it and left because we were over the entire experience. Oh and whoever on your staff that smokes weed it stinks up the place and just not the vibe we look for in a restaurant that's charging expensive prices for subpar ingredients. When we left we picked up a chicken sandwich at chick fil a just so we had a decent meal this evening.

I have several issues but will start with the first one that really bothers me: 1. As I approached the restaurant I noticed this homeless man walking around the block with a walker. I was in Dish from 5 - 6:30 and this homeless man came in THREE times to go into the bathroom (he was not a customer). This was not only a huge turn off but IMO a sanitary issue of him going into the bathroom doing who knows what. I saw the expression on the waitress face like she did not know what to do. Was there a manager working? Is this how it is at every restaurant in town that they allow homeless people in to use the bathroom? Are there homeless shelters for people in town to provide care and feeding for them? 2. I ordered a glass of wine on the Happy Hour menu and it was weak, like water was added to it. 3. I ordered the Smoke Salmon encrusted in Puff Pastry and the puff pastry was not cooked all the way (it was clearly visible that it was not a golden brown but rather a pale yellow. I just hope my future experiences in this lovely town on much better than I experienced last night. And one more thing, I have stomach issues today, and all I can think of is the cooks using that bathroom where this homeless guys went in 3 times in 90 minutes. I question how this is not Board of Health Violation.
