The drive out to Raven's View was amazing! It's in a beautiful location with nice view of the mountains. They have nice patio to sit and listen to live music 3 nights a week. The bar offers wide variety of drinks. We tried few selections from the menu. Our favorite was the Brussel Sprouts salad and the chips/guacamole. Ahi Poke was on their favorites section of the menu so we had to try it. Hubby didn't care for it; tuna was bit tough. We also had a Cubano for takeaway and it was delicious. I was traveling from Knoxville Tn with a local who couldn't wait to take me there. We got there around 11.30am, and by noon- there was a wait. It filled up very fast. The staff were attentive, the personal touch of blankets on the chairs backs, and the cleanliness of the bar was an amazing first impression. We were greeted quickly by a kind bartender and I was impressed with the BTG wine menu. Ink Blot is one of my favorite reds. My friend loves their Santa Fe Dip and I wanted to try the cucumber avocado dip. Both were delicious. This stop was one of many on my visit to Scottsdale. Worth the trip. Went to this restaurant based on recommendations from a co worker. Drove up from Phoenix. Nice patio, good wine list with lots of options. Food was good not great. Our server started out great but basically forgot about us after entrees were dropped so to get a 2nd drink or pay tab we had to chase someone down. Great post-paddleboard stop for a drink and snack! Def an oasis for the fun seekers at Bartlett Reservoir or on motorcycles. I enjoyed that the bartop had games available (Trivial Pursuit, Cribbage, Backgammon, etc) My first drink was a watermelon concoction that hit the spot as it is healthy to have fruit and hydration mixed w alcohol. Snacks included the deviled eggs, and the tuna tartare. The deviled eggs were bright w flavor and the tartare had perfect balance of soy, citrus and sesame flavors. I'd do 'em both again. took some friends to Raven View, bragged about it i ordered their Bartlett beef dip, received a Cubano sandwich, which I can't stand, so I sent it back, my friends had finished their lunch and I still had not gotten the correct sandwich so I told the waiter to forget it. Then he brought out the sandwich as we asked for the check, so he said he would package it up. So I get home did I come home with the beef dip sandwich no they sent the Cubano. Again which is a sandwich I do not like. So the sandwich went to the dogs. Not only did they screw up the sandwich once but twice. read more

Our experience was just great this evening. We were greeted immediately on entering (twice!), and seated 10 seconds later (maybe it helps to have a rezzy). Top tip - the main patio is nice - shaded in the afternoon. If you like a little sun, and/or to watch the sunset, the "outer patio" is or you. Anyway, our server came by less than a minute after we were sat, and patiently answered our questions. They can make almost everything gluten-free, by the way. The wine was very good for house wine, the Cubano was super, as was the Ahi Poke bowl. A very nice vibe - relaxed, upscale-ish without being snobby. We will certainly be back. Such a wonderful setting with a tremendous wine selection, something for every taste and budget alike. The outside patio is perfect for an afternoon glass of wine, they even have a outside bar feature. Their food selection goes really well with all the wine pairings options. We tried the deviled eggs, super delicious then a charcuterie board that went very well with a bottle of their house red. Followed up with a flatbread and Brussels sprout salad. The really only non positive aspect was our server, she clearly did not understand being attentive, never offered us refills on our water or a second bottle of wine. Such a cool little wine bar. Usually have live music in the afternoon/evening. Haven't had a bad dish yet. Would give it 5stars but nothing is perfect. Flys can be an issue once in awhile. But nothing so bad to keep me from coming back. And as far as the negative comments about the food, I dont get it. ITS NOT A 3 MICHELIN RESTAURANT SO DONT EXPECT IT TO BE. Geezuus! It's a wine/beer bar with some grape versions of spirits. The food is light and fresh. Perfect for after a round of golf or a spin around the lake. This is a unique place with so much potential- great views, funky vibe, fantastic staff that serves you well!! Where it seems to stall is the menu and food itself. I read the reviews before visiting and was torn as to try it or not....either it's Loved or Hated. I understand the dilemma! It's out in Carefree/Cave Creek area so I'm sure it's poplar with regulars. It's just a shame that they can't step it up with a menu that impresses and pleases the palette. We had a nice time, and the food was okay- but, it just seemed like some things were bagged food jazzed up a bit with extra goodies. I guess it's needing a skilled chef to design and implement a menu that is a unique as the property! The food just falls flat- nothing special. Nothing was unpleasant in any way- which makes my heart hurt for this place! The staff was so wonderful and I so wanted to give five stars! The restaurant inside and out is beautiful, located in very North Cave Creek tucked amongst the mountains and golf course, Raven's View is stunning! I love the rotating menu and I have liked everything I've eaten at Raven's View! A great place to share a bottle of wine with friends and family. There's usually music on the patio too, which is a nice touch! The service was great, we were checked on multiple times and our food came out in good time. From out of town and went the Friday before Christmas. Live music was fun. Small space but decorated for the holidays. Good was okay. I would not recommend the Bree, truffle, and mushroom pizza. This place is really cool! The food was amazing. Views were great. The wine by the glass price is a little pricey. $18 for a glass of Chardonnay is more than I spent most nights out when I lived in NYC. They also don't have a very good beer selection. The main reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because for a Saturday afternoon they were understaffed or their wait staff was overwhelmed Idk.
