Hidden gem in Cave Creek!! Mountain View Pub has a grand feel of an Irish Pub with all kinds of shamrock, Guinness, and Irish decor. There is a large bar, even bigger patio, and lots of seating available. The staff was fabulous and super welcoming. Our server quickly greeted us and took drink orders. Our group went for brunch and everyone ended up ordering Guinness and the corned beef hash. The has had a TON of some of the best corned beef I've ever eaten in AZ. It was braised and sliced to perfection. So much flavor! There was also thicker cut yellow potatoes that were pan seared and seasoned so well! I enjoyed the crispy parts of the potato especially when paired with the corned beef and egg yolk. Great place to check out!! HIGHLY recommend! read more

We went there on a Tuesday afternoon. Service was good, drinks affordable ( happy hour), food cooked just right. I had the blt, my wife had quesadillas. The French fries are the best I've ever had. Staff very friendly. It has a hint of being an Irish pub, but I call it more of a sports bar atmosphere. The views are nice. Looks like a great patio. To hot the day we were there for us to sit outside. Will give it another try later this month when family comes in. Just an FYI, we live about 35 miles from here and will return. read more

Last night -downright awful- 1st we are told all the taps were not working- Irish pub without Guinness-should have walked out then & there-but out of town friends were meeting us here. Went here with a large group for entertainment and dinner. Server so good. Did separate checks and no forced gratuity. We had numerous drinks including margaritas, wine, draft beer and screwdrivers. I had fish and chips. One large piece which I was hesitant about but server said it was good. Cole slaw was excellent. Fries and fish hot. This Irish pub is located at the entrance to Stagecoach Village, Cave Creek. The parking lot and patio deck are usually crowded with customers. Today was no different. You are greeted upon entering and asked to seat yourself. Do not be in a hurry to be served here. There are two servers during the lunch hour and they are running crazy. From the time we arrived to the time we were served was 50 minutes. We were not in a rush and enjoy the view from the outside patio. We ordered a chopped salad, sweet potato fries, and Jumbo chicken wings with Parmesan Garlic flavor. The wings are offered in a few other flavors as well. The food is made to order. The wings were pretty tasty with ample seasonings of Parmesan and garlic. The wings come in a small order 6 wings or 1 pound and a large order double the wings or 2 pounds. The fries and salad were good as well. We enjoyed ourselves. My rating is 3 for service, 4 for food 5 for patio ambiance. They have their own parking lot. read more

Have visited several times previously. Patio seating has great views. Very popular place. They take reservations by phone. Despite how busy it was on a Sunday afternoon, service and food delivery was very good. Food is very good, however, flatbreads are very small and coleslaw was disappointing. I recommend sandwiches or burgers. Note: This is Cave Creek so expect higher prices. A 12 oz. domestic beer is $8. Still, a nice place to enjoy a beautiful afternoon on the patio! read more

You have to try the Mac and cheese with burnt ends! Holy mackerel I want to rub it in my eyes, it is so good! The drinks are fabulous: cold and generous pour but cross your fingers you don't get our waitress. Honestly, I think she was completely stoned. The other waitress brought our food and checked on us. Eventually, our original person came back by. We love sitting outside here as long as possible with the weather. We ordered our food and we knew something was going to be messed up, as she did not write our order down ( our biggest pet peeve & it never works nor impresses us). While we were waiting, a sweet, older lady kept brining us the wrong plates, three times! Our food came and of course it was wrong! Mine was actually the best Corned Beef Hash ever! My whole plate was almost gone while my Hubby had to sit there waiting for them to make his order correct. When it came for a 4th time it still wasn't correct. He ordered steak n sunny up eggs. Steak medium. He got scrambled and very very well done steak. Our server felt bad and didn't charge us for his food. She saw how frustrated we were, but wasn't very concerned. This was my second attempt to try to like this place. I ordered fish and chips, it was two very small pieces of fish and they burned them. They were both cooked to a petrified dark brown crustacean. I tried to eat one as the waitress came around. She ask how everything is. I took one and banged it on the table. It was a Crusty rock. She smiled and was a little embarrassed. She said they changed fish portion (smaller) and they have a new cook. She asked if I would like another. I said no I'll just drink my 10.00 draft with my other two friends. So three draft beers, two fish and chips and a ceviche. $115.00. I wasn't going to write this but I was looking at my credit card statement today and see a dbl charge from Mountain View pub. 95.00 charge and 115.00 charge on the same day. This is really a 3.5- service changed drastically when they cut our server- meaning when she left no one else bothered to pick us up and offer another drink or a glass of water. Really disappointing. Shepherds pie is highly reviewed and worth every bite. The fish and chips came recommended from the server, it was really nice and lightly battered fish but the fries were a bit soggy and could have been crispier. Also ordered the fried vegetable basket- looked like deep fried foods so can't really go wrong there. Been going to Mtn. View pub for years and usually a great experience. Last night's visit was awful - worst food ever - nachos and flatbread. Nachos had awful white queso - no real cheese - and meat had no flavor - looked like plain hamburger with nothing to it. Flatbread was hard as a rock - like it had been freezer burned - and was cold and the cheese was not even melted. Disgusting. Mentioned to our waitress (long very blonde hair in case management wants to know) and she made it obvious she didn't care, rolled her eyes and did nothing to alleviate the situation or even apologize. Probably won't go back to Mtn. View after this experience. I can understand that sometimes there can be issues - but with two items and the way the waitress handled it - hard pass. We paid for inedible food (which was also horribly overpriced) and went over to Harold's for some great quesadillas. read more

A great location with a good view, I was recommended their signature fish and chips meal that was mediocre at best. The shot of coleslaw was a joke and honestly you can get a better fish meal on the side of the road from a taco truck so I wouldn't waste my time with the fish and chips. My next mistake happened when I asked for a piña colada.... The bartender told me he doesn't even know how to make one, then suddenly the full bar doesn't have any of the rums to make the drink. I was not impressed, there are so many other places that will actually try to do something for you as a customer instead of making excuses and telling you how they cannot do what they should already know how to do. If this was a young bartender I could understand him learning, but this was not the case at all so my three star review was generous based on my experience. Otherwise this place is clean, spacious, and easy on the eyes. If you are a beer drinker, or simple spirits connoisseur looking for a good view and nothing more, this might be your spot and you may love this place. Lots of parking and looks like a good live band. I'm sure the night scene is much better. read more
