I was walking on Hildago right past the supra key when I saw this restaurant open. It's very nicely done with a sushi style chefs bar. They had lots of fans out for eight in the morning to beat the heat. We walked up to look at the menu and a very nice friendly waitress walked up and offered her assistance. She suggested that the yogurt granola bowls made special made in the house.
We decided to eat there and sat down, they had quite a good menu. They had some Benedict, some omelettes and some basic breakfast and smoothies of course with lattes. It took a minute for me to decide. They had a bacon and shrimp omelette that looked tasty. Some come with hashbrowns and come with potatoes or salad. They make all their bread in house and it comes with a marmalade which is strawberry jam with very little sugar in it.
I ordered a latte and it came out very tasty. A little too much milk in my opinion it kind of lost the coffee flavor. I order the American breakfast I think and the salmon Benedict, it had smoked salmon. The waitress was very helpful & she was very knowledgeable. Her name is Lisa and let us know that they recently opened up and if they were connected to Fish & Gin, which is around the corner. She let us know that they were no longer connected to oh my brunch.
If you know anything about those restaurants then you know that both of these are wonderful restaurants with the best menus and the tasteiest food.
The food came out and it was absolutely delicious it took about 15 minutes. I saw somebody order a bowl next to us and it came out immediately. They had about five tables filled first thing in the morning and for a new restaurant in the slow season that's impressive.
When the food came out it was fabulous cooked perfectly and the only thing left on that plate was what they called a sausage but in America we call it hotdog. That's my fault that's a down south thing that I always forget. I'm always expecting real sausage and it's always a hotdog. The bacon crispy. The egg a perfect medium. Hashbrowns made fresh. The sourdough bread was perfect crunch & real bitter on side. The jam lovely. Mine normally came with a hot cake but they were willing to replace it with bread this time.
We chatted it up with the waitress a lot, stayed cool in the fans and will definitely be back. The waitress showed us the entire dinner menu I should've took some pictures but I didn't if you go over to Facebook you'll find them. They have a lot of sushi and poke bowls. It appears to be a pretty wonderful restaurant. She said the vibe changes pretty strongly and gets a little edgy at night. I look forward to going back. read more
