Unfortunately, I was met with an absolutely atrocious attitude from the young lady who served me today. I asked for two whole filets of Arctic Char from the back cooler instead of the two in the front case. Why? Well, the real answer is that it doesn't matter why...I'm the customer paying nearly $60 for fish and if that's what I want, then the correct answer is a smile and a "no problem, let me go get that for you!" Instead, what I got was a look of utter contempt and an "I mean, what's the difference?" sarcastic reply with one palm raised up to emphasize just how ridiculous my request was. When she returned with the fish, I said "just FYI, all that should matter is that I'm the customer (paying top dollar for a premium product), maybe I'm just a bit OCD." Her response, again with that famous Gen-Z contempt, was "I mean, there's no difference, we just brought it (the fish in the case) out, but anyways, I got you your fish." She just didn't get it. The owner overheard everything and chimed in "all of our fish is fresh here, you don't need to worry about that." Yeah, I know that it's a good product, it's why I shop here, but if my unique brain feels better about having it brought out from the back cooler, why should that merit even a drop of bad attitude?! I told the owner, "I just shouldn't have to explain myself," he retorted "you didn't" and I told him "no, actually I did." So basically, I went in looking forward to a nice experience and left feeling really irritated. Sometimes when I'm passing through Westport, I stop by Westport Lobster Company. I always ask for my fish from the back...and all that I ever get is a smile and a "sure, no problem, let me get that for you." I prefer to spend money in my own town, but I'm not going back to this place and neither is my wife...We don't need to be rewarding rudeness with our hard-earned dollars.

If there's a better deal on fresher fish in New England, I haven't seen it…read more You would think that in New England the fish would be easy to buy fresh and cheap all over, right? But you can't, and that's how it's been for the half of my life I've lived here. Until now. Fisherman's Market has cut out the middle man and spoiled every one of its customers. You will buy more fish than you can use, the prices are so good and the deals so abundant on such fresh, high-quality seafood. The scallops, when available, will ruin you for scallops at most fish stores. You will scoff at the high prices for the tiny, bland, expensive ones you savored before. The scallop chunks -- not complete, but equally delicious -- are an even bigger steal. There's a line, and the offerings depend on the catch, so prepare to be patient and flexible. And get there early, as things do sell out. Only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so don't dawdle.

I showed him the add that was posted Monday for the week he stated we just sent a new one out with the new price. This is completely false advertisement. They decided to price gouge last minute on Friday with the new price. Very poor customer service. I wouldn't ever trust this place with pricing again or recommend it to anyone. Why keep an add up for 4 days then suddenly change it 2 days before Holiday. Liers
