Last year I brought my rusty old car over for an inspection, and when it didn't pass, they didn't even charge me the $15. The guy I spoke to gave me some solid advice about body shops in the area, what I could expect to pay, and whether it would be worthwhile to just buy a new vehicle. With my new (used) car, I've had all my routine maintenance/inspection/repairs done at Cowan's. This winter I had the windshield wiper tank replaced, and one of the mechanics popped out a dent in my bumper, fixed a headlight, & fixed a couple other minor things without charging me extra. Awesome! Having car trouble is a stressful enough situation as it is; some of the mechanics in this area will try to screw over college students and people who don't know much about cars, making an already unpleasant experience 10 times worse. Cowan's is completely different, I strongly recommend taking your car to them if you have had bad experiences in this area. Honesty goes a long way in the car repair business!

Claimed she as looking for toilet paper (a person in line said she had gone out to smoke). She then refused service to a gentleman who had an expired id, with the temporary one along side of it. She claimed there was no expiration date on it, it was in the back which he clearly showed to her and to a police officer who was in line as well. The office said there was nothing he could do and it was her call. It is even more frustrating when he offered to show his VA Disabled Veterans card which is a would verify his DOB (to mention the man was clearly in his 40s) she said she didn't care she had already declined the sale, further embarrassing the customer.
