While traveling from PEI Canada to Florida we developed brake trouble as we approached Bangor. Went to Hyundai dealer but they could not accommodate us but suggested Swett's as an alternative. These guys were amazing! The car was not driveable in it's condition. In spite of being fully booked they managed to squeeze as in after only an hour wait. Had a muffler put on my truck a little over a month ago. Got under the truck the other day to do some work and saw the welds are cracking. I also noticed that instead of using a reducer To go from a larger pipe to a slightly smaller pipe they just use the bigger pipe and fill welded it. After starting the truck cold I found the welds are also leaking. I would expect this work form someone learning how to weld, Not a professional shop. Don't know how there work quality is in other places but would definitely not recommend for exhaust work. None the less my buddy got the Same job done on his truck at Lous custom exhaust for half the price and 100 times better work quality. read more

I really want to love this place. I can't tell you how many times I've been here hoping for a better experience than the last. Its not on my way to anything, but nonetheless I have rerouted to go to Swett's. First of all, I'll say that generally speaking the service is pretty bad; the cashiers are hardly ever friendly. Secondly, it's their policy to not accept military ID's which gives them a big X for me. Lastly, I went in there tonight to pick up some local beer. I ended up spending $33 for some good quality beer. I will say that the cashier was friendly at first. As I was walked out the cardboard completely failed from the bottom and the handle broke resulting in one smashing. This was a 4 pack for $10! (good beer though). I went back in and the cashier generously washed my bottles, but then refused to give me a replacement for the bottle that broke. Im sorry, but if your cardboard fails then you should replace the product. That was my last straw, Swett's won't be receiving any of my business. The two stars are for the decent food and the great beer selection, otherwise it would be a one star. read more
