My elderly dad's F150 had the power steering pulley go out. I wanted to get it repaired rather than doing the work myself. Corwin said 3-4 weeks before we can look at it. The manager at Ray and Roy's (I forgot his name but he is AWESOME) despite being very busy with all his bays full, greeted me as a walk in first time customer in a friendly manner. I explained the issue he said he was really busy but would see what he could do. After locating parts, he said he can get it done today. I let him do his thing and he did a great job, taking care of me and my problem and fixed the vehicle promptly. I cannot recommend this place enough. Had my PCV valve replaced and they didn't bother to check the hose for cracks, there was an obvious crack at the end where PCV valve was, it stuck out like a sore thumb! read more

I didn't end up using them, or anyone, but their professionalism made me decide to post this. I had a smaller door issue I wanted to take care of on a more than 20 year old car. It's my second vehicle. As long as I was bringing it in, I thought about getting a tune-up. It's in good shape, but I figured I'd check. The place is clean and professional. The guy at the counter was very clear, provided a quote and printed it out for me. However, all the folks quoted a lot of money for a basic tune-up on the sub compact. I assume that's just a normal price these days, so this isn't a negative on these folks. I decided I wouldn't get the tune-up just yet, as it runs fine. I found the experience with them excellent and the reason I didn't use them had nothing to do with them. I suggest anyone in the area check them out. read more

Needed an emergency repair. They were booked out past when I needed it but spent some time gave me some super helpful advice on the phone.

My alternator on my Range Rover went out and the dealer was out over a month for repairs. My cousin recommended this place and they were so fast and amazing. Didn't gouge me at all. I had my timing chain replaced by Ray & Roy's Repair Inc. back in 2/26/2015. The list of repairs I had done at that time is as followed; Timing Chain Set, Timing Cover Gasket Set, Timing Chain Tensioner Assembly, Oil Change, oil Filter, Radiator Assembly, Dex-Cool Antifreeze, AcDelco Battery, AcDelco Serpentine Belt, Hose Clamp, Battery Bolt/Side Post. At the time my truck Odometer was 160,149. There Labor description was as followed; Test & Inspect Vehicle. Confirm Customer Complaint. Performed No Start Diagnostic Testing Procedures. Removed & Replaced Broken Timing Chain. Replaced Timing Tensioner As Needed. Replaced Serpentine Belt & Cracked Radiator Assembly. Replaced Engine Oil & Filter As Needed. Replaced weak Load Testing Battery. Retest Engine Operation, Ok. Road Test, Ok. After getting it back we started to notice things where not exactly running right. So we would stop in and just have them look. Ray & Roy's would just keep saying its an older truck and it would not run like it used too. Please do keep in mind I bought My Truck off the show room floor at that time it only had 19 miles on it. Never been any accidents and have all my maintenance records. Returned to Ray & Roy's on 9/3/2015. Because I had a Spark Plug blow out. Gee any hint to saying something is not running right. At the time my Truck Odometer was 170,235 within 10,086 of me saying something was not right with the running of my truck. So The list of repair I had done on my second visit is as followed: AcDelco Platinum Spark Plug, Spark Plug Thread Kit, Disc Brake Pads Front-Brake Pads, Disc Brake Rotor Front, Wheel Seal Fluid, Brake Fluid, Engine Value Cover Gasket Set-Fuel Type Flex-PermaDry Molded Rubber Gasket Included, Water Outlet Gasket, Dec-Cool Antifreeze. There Labor description was as followed; Spark Plug Blew Out. Inspected Engine Noise. "Keep this one in mind towards the end of my Review" Test & Inspect Vehicle. Confirm Customer Complaint. Preform System Diganostic Testing Procedures. Preform #3 Spark Plug Time Sert Repair Procedures. Replace Spark Plugs As Needed, Retest For Proper Operations, Ok. Road Test & Inspection, Ok. Test & Inspect Brakes. Reline Front Disc Brakes. Replace Front Disc Brake Rotors. Pack Front Wheel Bearings As Needed. Bleed & Adjust Brakes. Retest For Proper Operations, Ok. Road Test Vehicle Operations, Ok. Remove & Replace Leaking Engine Valve Cover Gasket. When I got my truck back it still was not running right. I was told the Noise was the engines life ending. "We'll they had that part right" but it was not from its age. Keep in mind of my Mileage. So, I Retuned YET AGAIN to Ray & Roy's on 10/2/2015. Any guess on why at this point. Yes, the same Noise... At the time of my Odometer was 171,792 within 1,557 of me saying something was not right with the running of my truck, YET AGAIN. Total Mileage between 1st visits and 3rd was 11,643. "Really keep this one in mind too". At the time my Truck Odometer was 170,235 within 10,086 of me saying something was not right with the running of my truck. The New Shop found 3 BIGS of SHOP MISTAKE'S, "Can anyone guess???". If you guess MY TIMING CHAIN you are right. It was not seated properly. The timing chain was loose. One of the guards came off, which in turn the gears chewed it up and end up in my oil. Which intern all of those plastic pieces ended up getting into oil, and oil flow to my engine. Which intern made everything work 100 times harder and KILLING my Truck. Because it was not getting the oil it needed. My trucks issue should have been to double check that timing chain. It was within that warranty mileage at that time of all 3 service's and all my issues pointed to that problem. After getting my NEW ENGINE, my truck runs the way it should have. If Ray & Roy's did the right job the first time. Sorry if my post is all over the place, but my review was much much longer. read more

These guys are great, my car had broke down and they got me right in and took care of the problem.

My 2016 Ford Escape broke down. Ford wouldn't even look at it for 4 weeks. Tow it to your house then tow it to us when we can fit you in. I called Rob and Roys because they were close to where I broke down. They contract with a tow company who was able to come get me within a few hours when all the other places in town were 6 hours wait time. The cable broke on the gear shift and they were able to get the part from Ford and had it fixed within a few days. They informed me every step of the way and so I could decide before they did the work. I definitely will be taking my car here from now on. Ford service should get lessons from these guys. read more

Most people just review a business based on their performance. But I have something different. The people working here are the most incredible and caring people I've ever met in my life. I was in an extremely tight spot in life and when things got worse my car broke down. It started with the tow truck guy who recommended me to Ray & Roy's and the instant I walked in the door they seemed so caring and willing to help. Because they understand. They have been there and they know what you are feeling. I've never seen that in a business or even often in people. They had my car fixed in a day and assisted me in other ways I can't begin to describe. Without them I'd be close to losing my job, with that I'd lose my house and it just tumbles down. I have been taking my car to Ray and Roys for about six years now and have never been dissatisfied by any of their work. I also accompanied my daughter when she took a car she wanted to buy for a pre-sale inspection. They inspected the car and gave us a written report we took back to the dealership. The dealership repaired everything on the list and we took the car back to Ray and Roys for another inspection. We were charged for the first inspection (very reasonably) but not for the second. We had a nightmarish situation when my daughter got into an accident in Spokane with our van. It was on Sunday night---so we looked Ray and Roy up and had the car towed there. Shaun was fabulous dealing with us...calm collected, and they had the van repaired by that Friday after ordering a part from out of town. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I called on Monday and was told their earliest appointment was Friday, yet today (Wednesday) I was able to drive off their lot. And it was ready yesterday. They diagnosed the issues that I had unrelated to what they fixed and were understanding about the fact that the repairs were out of my price range, and instead itemized the issues for me, which helps in case I should want to do it myself. My parents have been taking their vehicles here for years. I came into town for the holidays and had a full service fluid change done at a quick shop. They spent all day and couldn't get it finished for various, irritating reasons. I had it towed to R&R and I'm glad I did. They had it repaired in an hour. I live a few hours out of Spokane but I'll definitely schedule my major repairs with Ray & Roys. I usually don't listen to my parents' advice at 45 yrs. old but I'm glad I did. This time....
