One of my favorite ramen places. I love the vibe and the ambience, the ramen is great. You guys should definitely try the fries! My personal favorite is the shrimp ramen. They have a big screen that plays anime and the music inside is all from different anime so it's a great place for anime lovers. The boba is not so bad but it could use some improvement as well as the rice platters to me they seem a little dry but it depends on a persons taste. The meat is great as well. Let's start off with service. Me and my family walked in and even tho it wasn't busy we had to wait a little bit until someone serve us a table to sit. The anime decor and other Japanese vibe was nice but I don't think I'll come back. My kids got the katsu ramen to share. And the katsu was not put on the side and it was all soggy and not crunchy at all. Even when it first came out. The steak ramen came with literally beef that felt like rubber. Very hard to chew. You walk in and can basically sit anywhere. They have paper menus and pens at the table. You mark what you want on the menu similar to dim sum. The wait staff was quick to walk by and check when you were ready. We ordered the tonkatsu ramen, bacon wrapped shrimp platter, and kani salad as appetiser. They brought out kimchi too as an appetiser after we ordered. The food was ok. Kani salad was very mayo heavy and a little tough to chew. The tonkatsu pork was really thick and tough. Found this restaurant from tik tok and so happy I did. The food was amazing! I am a huge lover of ramen and enjoyed the different varieties of ramen we could choose from. I don't eat meat and was able to sub the pork broth out for veggie broth. For all my vegetarians out there- there are veggie options! I loved the decor, if you are an anime fan this is a must try. I like this place. Came here about 4 or 5 times already. Their ramen are not bad. I have tried their Black Garlic Ramen, Tonkatsu Ramen, Pork Belly Rice, Takoyaki, Rayaki fries, Eggplant skewer, Corn. They all taste yummy to me. Staff weren't that welcoming and friendly in my opinion. No smile nor friendly tone when asking for their service. You place your order by marking then on their menu slip. Each table has a set of those. There is no parking lot right outside as the restaurant is located on a busy road, Cottman Ave. You will have to do street parking but around there usually have some spots available. I came here with my mother on a whim after doing some shopping at Philadelphia Mills. The parking lot didn't have many cars so I was a bit apprehensive. I stopped by here with my family for a casual lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. There's a lot of street parking around the block. Appetizers-wise, my favorite was the rayaki fries - sauce was really delicious (note: I love spicy Mayo). The skewers were alright. I ordered pork sweet sausage, bacon with quail eggs, chicken scallion, Japanese tofu, and squid. I wish the squid was cooked a bit less, it was pretty tough to eat. The chicken wasn't that well-seasoned but the green onions gave it some flavor. I also wish the bacon was more crispy. Maybe I'll try some more flavors next time I go. Onto my miso ramen, it was also alright. I wish the broth had more umami and was miso forward, I didn't think it was anything unique. The chashu was tough, no fat, all meat. This hit the spot on a rainy day. Also included but not pictured was lychee green tea with aloe, which was delish and not skimpy on the aloe. The black garlic ramen was really tasty and plenty flavorful, to the point that I realized while eating it that I could just have noodles, egg & that broth and I'd be content. Speaking of the egg - I wish we could order extra or on the side because the jammy seasoned yolk was my favorite addition to my ramen. There was ample parking on the side street and it was free by the time I arrived. Walked in and was informed we could sit anywhere. Inside was colorful with various animas throughout and an anima playing behind me. It was clean and very well lite. There were paper menus on the table and you select what you want and how many of each you'd like, very simple. Server greeted us, provided us with a pen and soon returned with our drinks. I'm not big on ramen so I ordered the skewers, and just an FYI it is noted that you get 1 skewer per order. The chicken wing skewers came with 2 wings and a teriyaki sauce on it, it was tasty. The squid skewer had great flavor, but it was a little chewy. It could have been cooked a little more and some more char on in. Flavor profile was on point though! The takoyaki was a bit disappointing. There was an extreme lack of octopus pieces which contributed to the lack of texture even more. It was very doughy and chewy almost slightly on the undercooked side. The ramen was alright nothing too special. The noodles were good, and the broth was well balanced and flavorful. My issue is with the eggs and chashu. The chashu was overcooked. The eggs were also slightly overcooked. This lacked the typical creaminess that comes with a perfectly marinated soft boiled egg. I drove over an hour to try this place after seeing an ad on Instagram. It was the best food I ever had and I can't wait to go back. We got the fries for my daughter. I saw a random add about this place on instagram and decided to tell my daughter and her boyfriend about bc he is very into anime. Two days later I found myself around the corner from the place a kind of hungry. The food was very good. This was my first time eating ramen that didn't come from a cup. I was blow away. I also ordered a side of popcorn chicken made from scratch and it was incredible. They give you very large portions so you most likely will have leftovers. The decor in the restaurant is great. I love the handpainted anime drawings on the walls and ceiling. The giant TV playing anime episodes and the anime music. Creates a very fun casual atmosphere. The food is reasonably priced and good enough. I think the flavor can be improved upon but its not bad at all. The porkbelly was cut a little uneven and thick to my liking and the sauce was just kind of sweet but one dimensional. It could use maybe ginger or scallion to balance the thickness/sweetness of the sauce and would also balance the fattyness of the pork belly. I probably wouldn't get this dish again. The ramen broth was good as well as the steak. Steak was cooked perfectly and was tasty. But the noodles seemed a little undercooked. I like al dente ramen noodles but some of it stuck together and was hard so definitely seemed undercooked or something. I loved the grilled skewers though. The service was excellent for a Wednesday evening. I went with family to check out Rayaki and we had a blast. My great niece and I share a passion for Anime and the decor made us very happy. They have paper menus where you check off what you want and they collect the slips. The items we purchased were good. Fried squid was slightly salty but I liked it, the takoyaki was well made, the shrimp ramen was good but the flavor of the shrimp was bland. The spicy Miso ramen was good but wasn't spicy enough for my niece so she added kimchi to it for an extra kick. The rayaki fries were good as well. If you're a ramen lover and an anime lover, then Rayaki is the place for you. I took my partner who loves anime and he couldn't have been happier in a restaurant. This space feels creative, nostalgic, and the interior has so many nice touches to emphasize the anime theme! Including a fish tank with anime action figures inside! (See photo). When we were dining, they had Naruto playing on a large screen. This also isn't a restaurant whose ambiance is the only strength. The food is pretty solid too. I would say my favorite was the ramen itself, I got the miso ramen. I also highly recommend getting the Rayaki fries which come topped with marinated pork, spicy mayo, garlic aioli, fried onions, massago and scallions. I think this might've been my favorite appetizer from what we tried. My partner really enjoyed the rice cakes. I also would say it's worth it to try some of the robotayaki (essentially skewers!). They were all pretty tasty. They had a special going when we went that allotted us 1 free milk tea for spending more than $50 which was pretty cool. Unfortunately we weren't crazy about their milk teas or their iced teas, but I'd say that was the place's only downfall for us. Def still worth checking them out! read more

We went here for my son's 13th birthday dinner because he loves Anime and Ramen. He was immediately impressed by the atmosphere and loved his food, which was important because he was the birthday boy. He got the chicken skewers and chicken ramen. The Taro bubble tea and the honeydew bubble tea were good and the restaurant was clean. Aside from those few things, I wouldnt come here if the food was free. The food arrived at different times with 5 minutes between each of our 6 guest being served. I ordered the Seafood ramen where the shrimp were over cooked and chewy, just like the mussels in the flavorless broth that needed to be seasoned with soy sauce and kimchi to be remotely edible. The ramen noodles were stiff and stuck together no matter how much I tried to mix them through the broth. My husband ordered the chicken bites and fried squid which they served with Mayo as a dipping sauce that despite being hungry, he never finished because it was not good at all. My grandmother ordered a chicken dish with rice and broccoli glazed with a brown sauce, and it looked delicious, but she said that it was just average and she refused to waste food that she spent money on so she got a to-go box so to bring it home and add a little seasoning to it. My sister decided on the Shrimp Tempura ramen which she found bland and flavorless. She couldn't even finish her food. Oh and I woke up with stomach pains and diarrhea. read more

We came here for lunch on a weekend and parked on the side street for street parking. At first, when you get seated at your table, there is a checklist menu in which you can pick your items. I got the waffle fries, takoyaki and miso ramen. The Miso ramen was surprisingly good (noodles and broth). The waffle fries were also good and had a sauce that was a bit spicy.
