I felt compelled to write this review after my horrible phone conversation with the extremely rude…read morewoman I spoke with, named Donna. I have been looking for a senior community for my Aunt. Foolishly, I didn't look at the Yelp reviews prior to inquiring about this place, because it would have saved me from having to interact with the most unfriendly, unprofessional person I have perhaps ever had the displeasure of speaking with! This woman, Donna, has an attitude from the moment she answered the phone. She seemed agitated with my questions to the point that I didn't feel comfortable asking more than a couple. NEWS FLASH! When you're looking for a residence for elderly family member, you're going to have questions! Why would I blindly send her off to live somewhere sight unseen?!! Obviously many people must, because there is no way anyone who has ever spoken to this woman on the phone would ever consider living there! I can only imagine what these poor tenants have to deal with if they ever need anything or have a question; God forbid a complaint! After seeing the other reviews I am actually appalled that this woman is still there. Who is the owner of this building?!! I intend to find out, because now I see that she is also putting these tenants' health in jeopardy! Seriously?!! Unacceptable! UPDATE-It has been brought to my attention that she is an avid opponent of social distancing and self-isolation during this Coronavirus pandemic! I am going to be contacting the owners of the building because she is knowingly putting everyone who comes in contact with her at risk. I find this extremely disturbing. A very concerned person has left more pictures and proof yesterday and now they have been taken down, I'm sure at the response of the business owners, which I find very irresponsible of YELP! Im absolutely horrified that this woman is actively around elderly as we speak and the public would have no way of knowing were it not for these reviews!

We have had NO cases of Covid here because of all the precautions put in place! Our Maintenance Crew is superior and will come when there is any problem in a unit. The grounds are kept beautifully, and we, who live here, and enjoy it , take pride in our commumity. It's a great place to live, I am very comfortable here and so is my little dog. We are Blessed to be here, so anyone that has had a bad experience with mgmt. needs to address that with them. Dawna, Deborah and Gilbert are all super and work very hard at keeping our community safe and secure.

Dear Brent and Haley,…read more I hope you are both doing well. Many times I have wanted to reach out and say how grateful we are to have my mom here at Sea Bluffs. I have worked in several residential settings throughout my career: A high school boarding school, college dormitories, and group homes for people with severe mental illness. I know there are many challenges in these types of settings, but from our experience with Sea Bluffs, we (my mom, sister and I) feel like every staff experience we have had in the last year-and-a-half has been top notch. We feel like everyone that works regularly with my mom on the Care Team is so kind, thoughtful, and anticipatory of her needs etc., and we soooo appreciate it. Also the maintenance staff has been very responsive, kind and respectful in all of their interactions, and the dining staff is always wonderful! Some stand outs to me, for what it's worth are Donna, Christine, Carmen, Jay, and Martha. Again, I think everyone's great, but these folks have consistently been excellent. And Jay is literally everywhere all at once :) I truly don't know how Donna does what she does, she has been a phenomenal presence since she was hired shortly after my mom arrived here. Always smiling, always helpful, an excellent communicator, always good at problem solving, always swift acting, always going above and beyond. She is a treasure! And of course with the two of you at the helm of overseeing all the hiring and training and culture building, I'd like to send along my gratitude to the two of you as well! Thanks for everything!

Of course, their teams filled in all of the day to day particulars, and, we are grateful for ALL of them, as well! My husband and I just wanted them all to know how appreciative we are for creating a forever home, for Mom at Sea Bluffs - Evergreen.

We transferred both mom and dad over 3 years ago. He was already on hospice and she was just ready for assisted living. Thus, they moved into 2 separate rooms as we knew he would predecease her soon. What a breath of fresh air! Caring, professional, long-term management and staff. Beautiful and spotless facility inside and out. Wonderful activities and special events. Amazing dining experience. My dad boasted to friends and family that he felt like he was at home. He loved to sit by the fireplace and read. Mom loved bingo and scrabble with friends. And, when each of my parents health began to fail, Aegis was quick to recommend extra care and eventually hospice, letting them live out their life and die peacefully.

My mother in law recently moved to Aegis and is very happy there. Was not an easy decision to make,…read moresince she is still able bodied and of sound mind. People tend to think that assisted living is for people who are ill. She is 96 and the upkeep on her home was just getting to be too difficult. Aegis provided relief from that but more importantly has given her fun activities and new friends. The staff there is wonderful, friendly and can help if health issues do arise. They communicate consistently, provide a welcoming and pleasant environment, and have many daily activities and weekly outings. There are separate areas for memory care patients and assisted living, and the grounds and rooms are really lovely, I'm writing this because if you have an elderly loved one considering a move such as this, I wouldn't hesitate to have them move here. The socialization is a huge thing and I think her days are much happier than when she was living alone, even if she doesn't need much assistance at this time. Was definitely the right move and better sooner than later. Thanks to all the staff at Aegis for providing a great "home" for our seniors.
