Absolutely wonderful pizza. Crust is perfectly browned and tasty thanks to the brick oven. The sauce is tangy, thick, and plentiful. We've tried the Italian beef sandwiches, which are also quite good. They even offer ridiculously big 18" sandwiches. The prices are very affordable. We usually order the massive Jumbo pizza, and our family of three eat off it for two days for just over $20. The sandwiches even come with bags of chips with an available fries upgrade in order to keep the prices low. So where is the problem? Usually phoning in deliveries, we opted to get our last two orders as carry out. This is the FILTHIEST establishment I ever walked into. I felt like throwing my shoes away after walking up to their counter. Thinking the first time may have been an off night, I gave them another chance - still deplorable. Since my last visit, I have vowed not to order another pie from them - it's been 5 months. I always love Raydee Magoos. I have to be honest, the only thing I've ever ordered is tomato bread, which is absolutely delicious. The only reason I only order that is because I live by myself and don't need more. The crust is absolutely amazing. Pretty good pizza for a little hole-in-the-wall place. I had their supreme with ground sausage. The crust is nice & crispy, the sauce is decent but the ground sausage is really ground! It's not as good as JJ'S Pizza shack ground sausage. A lot of people who reviewed this place spoke highly of their breadsticks, but I'll be honest, I didn't see the allure. They're thin, kind of bland tasting, and way too salty. Honestly, I'd rather have a order of crazy bread from Little Caesars than this places breadsticks. However, I did like their jalapeño poppers and the ranch dressing that they were served with. Service was really quick for all you impatient people out there. One reviewer on here remarked about how dirty the place is. I really just think the place needs a remodeling more than it is dirty. Overall I would say that this place is pretty good, but not as good as JJ's Pizza Shack. read more

You don't need to know anything else other than this is the BEST thin crust pizza in the area!!!! Forget the hole in the wall location, just follow the directions and treat yourself to a pie from this hidden gem! I've been eating pizza for 48 years, and Ive had pizza from many different places and in quite a few states. Raydee Magoo's is by far the best pizza Ive ever had and my family agrees 100%. We all have different favorites mine is the chunk sausage, green pepper, and onion. They use top quality ingredients, and they don't skimp on the ingredients either. I'm OCD particular about sausage, if it's fatty, or if I bite into gristle I'm done eating. I have never had that happen with Raydee Magoo's pizza, the chunk sausage is delicious!! The cheese, sauce, crust is the best. My family has ordered pizza, calzones, bread sticks, and beef sandwiches from them so many times over the years I honestly couldn't count how many times we have picked up food or had it delivered. My son-in-law is a barber and used to work a few doors down from them, we'd walk over to Raydee Magoo's as soon as they opened to pick up food many days. None of us has ever seen the place dirty ever. If we had we wouldn't eat there. The oven discolors the walls, but looking closely many times Ive never seen the place dirty. As one person on Yelp mentioned the place could use some remodeling...yes a fresh coat of paint would be an improvement, but I think their focus is on making amazing quality food. I Havent found a better pizza in Northwest Indiana since Bronkos in Crown Point closed. The only reason you may not like this pizza is if you hate grease because it is a rather greasy pie. The cheese is FANTASTIC. It is heaven to mouths. Sauce a tad sweet but I like that too. Messy pizza, my favorite. Topping all fantastic. Crust is a little dominating at times. Cant sit in the place because of their old pizza oven, (what makes a good pizza if you did not know) makes the small place smokey. Always go to Hobart , East Chicago, Hammond, Griffith, or North Merrillville for pizza. This past weekend was the second time we had ordered from Raydee Magoo's. The first weekend it was pretty good. This past weekend, my husband ordered a deep dish pizza. He usually eats nearly the entire pizza. He ate the first piece and said something wasn't right. The ground sausage was burned, the cheese looked like the pizza had been tipped because it was all on one side, and it was soggy. He tried a second piece, thinking maybe it was just the first piece, and same thing. He couldn't eat any more because it tasted so bad. Awhile later, he started feeling sick and felt sick all night. When I called the next day and told them about it, I asked for either a refund or a credit. The girl that answered the phone talked to the manager and he said no refund and no credit. I told them we still had the pizza here and I would bring it in and they said no. We order pizza quite often and, with that poor business practice, we will NOT be ordering from there again!!! It didn't taste at all like it did the first! I gave this small business some a chance to make it right... They don't require all their customers to wear masks, the place is disgustingly dirty, dead bugs on floor & sills, dirty windows, open sign doesn't work & they look closed. Just received a $23 delivery pizza along with a $5 tip. Opened it up and about a third of the pizza had no toppings. It had all slid to one side. Contacted the business and spoke with the supposed manager. She identified herself as Trinity, the owners daughter. I was told it was my fault for ordering a deep dish.
