Terrible pizza!! Used to go there quite frequently because I used to go to the original Stephanos in Lansing Lynwood area and every time was excellent pizza!! Unfortunately at there location in Winfield is totally not the same!! The customer service is lack luster at best!! Pizza very inconsistent and the main issue I have with this location and is he reason I haven't ordered a pizza in over a year from them!! Good pizza is only good when it's consistent!! Da region is known for three things: industrial decay, women who cuss a lot and use poor English, and awesome pizza...when you can find it. Found it. Easy five star here. Nothing fancy at all with this joint. Just awesome take out and delivery. The pizza here is what I remember Region pizza being as a child. The only thing missing is the paper covering over the cardboard floor. Other than that, the taste is all there. It takes you back to the old days. I also got some fried ravioli, which was quite good, but my taste buds don't have time for that when I've got this pizza. The prices are pretty reasonable, but it's still a good thing I don't live here...I'd be broke buying this pizza all the time. This was my second time ordering from Stephano's. I have never been one to complain or write bad reviews anywhere but this was unacceptable. I had family in town and decided to order takeout. They had told us a 30 minute wait, we get there after 30 minutes and had to wait another 30 minutes for our food which was understandable I know kitchen can get backed up. When we got our food our appetizers were handed to us on top of the pizza. When we got home and opened the box, the cheese and toppings came up with the top of the box. I had tried calling and informing them and I kept getting sent to voicemail. I am a loyal customer to Rosatis in crown point and they always stay on top of customer satisfaction. I used to order from Stephano's all the time. About 3 weeks ago, placed an order for a thin crust pizza. The same one I've ordered for years. The crust was different and the sauce was different. The crust was so dense, it was inedible. I had placed an order, a couple weeks before the above order, which was also a mess. Picked up the pizza, had to wait an extra 30 minutes beyond the promised time. Got home and opened the pizza box, the pizza was completely burned. How they thought it was okay to serve that pizza, is beyond me. I have ordered from them since and don't think I ever will. read more

I tried odering several pizzas from here for a football party. The girl who answered the phone said she could not understand my street name even though i spelled the street for her. She passed the called to someone else to help her as she said she couldnt understand me. A guy gets on the phone and I again SPELL the street name out for him and he cant figure it out. The crust is thin and the sauce was flavorful with plenty of cheese. The only thing that would make this 5 stars instead of 4 is the garden was pretty mediocre. My boyfriend and I were in the Winfield area and stopped into Stephano's to pick up a pizza. We tried their thin crust and were completely blown away because it was so delicious! They have specials that aren't readily advertised, so make sure you ask when ordering. Family meal deal is the best deal and that's what we usually order. Heard great things about this place. Order a pizza cheese, green pepper, onion and mushroom with half pepperoni. Dilvery guy for got the side beverage and the whole pizza had sausage on it. I called the business and the girl told me she could give a credit. Since this does not solve the issue, I requested the correct pizza to be dilivered. She said they would remake a small, however I ordered a large. I told the girl this was not upto par and showed my frustration. She continued to hang up the call. I drove there with the pizza and the owner refused to mend this. As a business, there is absolutely no customer service. Will never patronize again! read more

Tried this place last weekend. I ordered a large green pepper and onion pizza. The pizza came with one strip of green pepper on each slice of pizza. Pretty disappointing. We ordered delivery on a Saturday night at 6:30. The food was about 40 mins PAST the said delivery time and it was barely warm. When I called the first time they said it was on the way and then 20 mins later it still wasn't here....I live on a small farm only a few minutes away...I should have just picked it up. However, the pizza itself was pretty good still better than Aurelios. I wouldn't order delivery again but I would try them again since a pizza good cold has to be even better when it's hot! My second favorite pizza place in the "region." My first is too far away near highland, so for the crown point area this is my go to pizza. They can always accommodate cooking the crust well done, but not burning it. Not many places can. The pizza we order is always correct and consistently made. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing they don't deliver to our area! But if the owner is reading this, please consider having a location closer to 109th and Broadway! I ordered a pizza the other night and it took almost 2 hours to get to me. Once I got it in the house and opened it I realized it was not even my order. So I called up there and talked to an employee, by this time it was already 8:00pm so I told them just come get the pizza and give me my money back and I will go get fast food. 20 minutes later I was still waiting. I called to tell them I will just bring it to them. I brought it back and the gentlemen who I dealt with not sure if he was the owner but he was very rude and gave me attitude cause I was returning the food. He said he doesn't see what the problem is the driver flip flopped to orders it's not a big deal. I got my money back and left. Once I got home I realized the delivery driver had leaked transmission fluid all over my driveway. ( new construction /concrete driveway) so I called and asked to speak to the driver so I could inform him and as the gentlemen handed him the phone he said it's the guy who returned the pizza don't take no shit from him. So I told the kid what he had leaked in my driveway and his reply was well I guess we are equal now since you returned your food and I had to go back there to get it and you had already brought it here , then hung up on me. I called back and the owner?? Cursed me out and we had a pretty bad yelling match. All in all I will NEVER order from there again. Last I checked I was the paying customer and should not have got that treatment. Very disrespectful staff and should learn how to treat customers. read more
