After a day at the beach, stopping by Miller Pizza was a good choice. Looking outside at the building, kinda nostalgic, older looking building and the neon signage caught our attention. As we arrived and entered, we noticed it was a busy place, people placing orders, picking up orders, gave us this is gonna be good vibes. There is a small space to give order request, but the staff took our order within 5 minutes, good service. We ordered the thin crust "The Works" and the hot chicken wings, it took about 20 minutes to get our good. The pizza was very tasty, it had plenty of toppings, it surprised me that the vegetables were some how cooked, but not over cooked, still had crunch. The wings were breaded with a good crunch and seasoning in the breading, very tasty! Looking around I wandered to see the outside seating has a great view of trains passing by, approx. 10 minutes each time. The kids(boys) loved it and family friendly. Loved it. Next time in Gary that will be a place I will consider. read more

ordered the deep dish pizza special and it was delicious. Was told by the order taker that the Italian beef sandwich was amazing but I was disappointed when I went back later that night around 10:20 pm to try it but was unable to order due to being told they were closed when I walked in even though their website says they are open until 11pm. First time here thanks to so many raves about this place. Had to see if it lived up to the reputation. Guess what?!?! It did!!! We ordered and sat in a quaint dining area inside as we watched the traffic go by. There is also seating out front and on a side patio. It was about 30 minutes of smelling the amazing aroma of pizza. Once ours was brought out, we were thrilled to have such a great tasting pizza. The sauce was perfect. The toppings were plentiful. The crust was cooked just right. So good!! This was a fun spot for a dinner out with friends while in Miller Beach. The interior is small but does have a few tables for dine-in. You order at a counter and they bring it to you in to-go boxes. It takes about 20 minutes for a small deep dish but it was worth the wait. We found it delicious and filling and had plenty for two (plus leftovers) in a small! Not sure what the big deal is with this place. It's not worth the hype in my opinion. I've had better thin pizza. I actually placed my order online - but was told the online service wasn't working...although it charged me for the order anyway. Best Pizza in Gary Indiana! It is a Miller Beach staple and been around for years. The crust is baked just right and the cheese is premium. Any preferred toppings will be fresh and perfectly cooked. The pizza is what they are known for but they also have great sandwiches like the Italian Beef and their wings are pretty stellar as well! If you are ever in Gary, consider making the trip to Miller Beach and try the best pizza in town! Parking is limited in the back of establishment but always seems to be an available spot. I've driven by this place numerous times on my way to Marquette Park or Miller Woods. The place is always hopping. I told myself I'd try it when it wasn't so busy. I stopped in on a Saturday mid-afternoon and the place was already busy. I opted then to order a medium deep-dish vegetarian pizza to go. I was told it would be 45 minutes. The pizza came out as stated. I was very impressed. For under $20 this pizza is more flavorful and a good ten bucks cheaper than Beggar's Pizza, another regional pizza. It was loaded with toppings. If this place weren't so far from Crown Point on my summer visits, I'd come by here more often. The entire kitchen crew hustled. I will try to try the dine-in next time. The restaurant is right by busy South Shore railroad tracks, and that train sure can blast through at deafening speed. read more

The sauce and toppings were flavorful. The Italian beef was very good with a nice bread and flavor. You definitely want au jous, otherwise it would have been a bit on the dry side.
