There is a lot to go over for this review, so I'll discuss: Location Exterior Interior Service Food And Price First and foremost, the location is extremely convenient, being along old ridge road, a fairly busy street with a sparse amount of locations to get food. The parking lot is well kept, and convenient to enter and leave with your car. As for the exterior, it is clean, simple, and looks nice, and has a plentiful amount of windows, so you can see inside and outside of the building with ease. Interior is a huge plus, with a giant menu with all of the food options, clean and good booths and tables, the aforementioned windows, and the best part about the interior (in my opinion), are the several tvs inside of the building, showing movies, news, and sports, with each tv having their own selections. Also if I recall they have remotes, but I'm unsure if customers can use them. Service is the next thing I want to go over, including employees, customer service, and things that overall make or break the experience for the customer. Employees are friendly, and always ready to give service to the customers, with a friendly attitude alongside them. Whenever you have an issue with food, questions about products, and other customer service issues, the workers will go above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for the customer, and to fix the issue. On top of this, whenever you have a delay, they will sometimes give you something for free like a drink, to compensate for the wait, and they also have delicious jalapeño rings (onion rings but with jalapeño's, would recommend trying) for free when eating in the location, which is very generous and delicious. Next is the food. I don't care if everything mentioned prior is good at a location, because I go to a restaurant to eat. And eat I shall as J&Js has an incredible selection of foods like pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and others, and sides like onion rings, fries, breadsticks, and others. With such a vast selection of food, not only can I find something I will like, but they truly go above and beyond at making every food item taste incredible, even taking some foods that I originally only thought were decent, taste great. I love their burgers SO much, and they also have delicious onion rings, fries, pizza, and much more. Every piece of food truly tastes amazing, and even the ones I don't like that much, I can still tell are well made from the quality. Finally. the price. I'll keep this part brief. The prices are very solid, having some options like soda being less than a dollar, and many other solid prices. The entrees and sides prices vary based on size and quality of ingredients , with almost everything they have, from pizzas, burgers, fries, and more being very fairly priced, and sometimes even cheaper than expected, and when including the amazing quality of service and the food, I am very pleased with the prices. They also have some pretty good deals on their website! Overall, if you are in the area, or a local like me, I strongly recommend you give the food here a try, and while I recommend eating at the location, you can also order the food instead! My friend and I were watching the Thursday night football game and decided on pizza. He'd never eaten J & J's pizza before so I thought that he Had to try it. I ordered a Kitchen sink (thin, minus the olives) from the location off Old Ridge Road; I usually order from the J & J's off Central Avenue. Regular customer. Ordered pizza twice a month. I placed my order as usual. When I arrived for pickup was told it would be about 5 minutes. I said OK, no problem. While waiting heard string of foul language from kitchen followed by a loud wet belch. then I heard someone from the kitchen say 'look, I just put some extra chicken on that b****h'. I went here to get two deep dish pizza's and when I arrived my order was not right. I went back inside the store to let someone know and the "Owner " if that's he wahts to call himself rudely trys to inform me that my food was indeed made correctly. As I try to tell him as bie as possible tha its not i am Muslim and I can not eat eat pepperoni and yet there was pepperoni in my deep dish. This so called paul rudely talked to his coworkers once i proved him wrong about the pizza. Very unprofessional and highly rude. While walking away after getting my food made correctly i heard this paul trying to talk down upon me, very rude how a customer has to go inside and argue that food was made wrong and then to be leaving while here the "owner " talking bad about me highly unprofessional and wouldn't recommend. My boyfriend and I moved out of state about a year ago and we miss JJ's pizza. The west coast DOES NOT have good pizza haha. For some reason, we have expensive New York style pizza only. I ordered a gluten free pizza for my daughter with a gluten allergy . She ate a piece and didn't like it . I tried a piece and It tasted terrible. It had a raw doughy un-cooked crust, if you want to call it crust. I called to complain and the girl working said that it was gross and she wouldn't recommend it because they just buy the crust . I asked for my money back and they said if we ate two pieces that they could not refund our money. JJ s pizza --Don't eat it ! They don't even recommend it ! It is something totally different, and I have a hard time stopping myself from overeating the stuff. I live in Chicago but my parents stay in Hobart. And every time I visit them I get JJs pizza! I love their pizza! I've been going to JJs for years. The last time I ordered was last week- I got the pizza pocket, so good. I went to pick it up and forgot to add a soda- I told the cashier to just add it to my order but he just gave it to me free. Grant it- it's a soda! But nowadays, a simple kinda gesture goes a long way with me! I didn't get the cashiers name but, thanks buddy!! I will always choose their pizza! I had a bad experience with the staff sat 4-11-2015.. I had ordered $40 in food and asked them if I can get the pizza pie cut.. The staff said they don't do that and that they would try pie cutting for me if they could. They gave me the pizza and it wasn't pie cut... Just asked for a little and got a lot... Pizza was good just poor service... Very easy to pie big slices on request... I had JJs a couple time. All I can say, DO NOT get JJs for a large group of people. The pizza was cold when they said it was fresh. There was almost no tomato sauce on the pizza and there was too much cheese. Note - this cheese tasted very odd and very old. I like pizza and don't think it's horrible but JJs, don't get me started on the service. I went in another day to give it a try again to see maybe if the large group pizza was bad just because it was big. Nope. I got a normal pepperoni pizza. There was no tomato sauce and there was WAY too much cheese. The people there, at the time, were very rude and didn't do much. I've had stuffed crust, I've had the kitchen sink, I've had their "thin crust"(not really crazy thin but it's still delicious) and it's all good. Ingredients are always fresh and the cheese is amazing. Their wings are great, I usually get some hot or garlic parm and they're always swimming in sauce just the way I like them. They know know how to do a solid Italian beef so if that's your thing feel free to order up. I can't recall a time that they've ever messed my order up or were late with my pie. JJ's rocks. Unbelievable! Ordered a pizza over an hour in advance of when we wanted it knowing you would be busy. Told us no problem on the phone. We get there to pick it up and get told it's going to be a few minutes. Wait almost another HOUR and still no pizza! Unacceptable! Told it was getting ready to come out. This place has great pizza, but that's not all. I recently ordered the wings, an Italian Beef Sandwich, a Stromboli Sandwich and fries. All were terrific! The order was delivered quickly, the food was good and hot, the price was reasonable and the staff is great. The sandwiches were so big, they made a great lunch the next day. I wanted to order pizza from J & J's because my job had ordered pizza from there and it was very tasty. I wanted a pizza that I thought was of a better quality, so J & J's was the place to order. Every once in a while the restaurant will mail out menus and coupons to order from home, and the restaurant does offer delivery. When I called in to order, I was not sure of what I wanted, but the person taking my order was highly patient and helpful in answering questions. When looking at the menu, J & J's menu has a variety to order, so I wanted to make sure I was ordering the best for my family and myself. I ordered a sixteen inch sausage, bell pepper, and mushroom pizza for delivery. I don't feel that the prices on the menu are very clear, because what I was reading was totally different from what the person was telling me. However, I had a coupon and that made me go through with the order. I was told it was going to take 30-45 minutes for the pizza, took a little longer, but I was not trying to sweat it (small stuff). I was really pleased with the delivery person, he called to let me know that he was close to my house so I could be watching for him. I thought that was very considerate; great customer service on his part. Once he arrived and left, I got a call from the restaurant, asking to make sure I got the correct pizza. It so happen, I had the wrong pizza, the mushrooms were missing (I love mushrooms). I let them know that the order was incorrect, but the restaurant was very nice about it, and wanted to know how they could fix the situation. Considering I had the pizza, did not pay for delivery since I had a coupon, and my family was already starting to enjoy it; I was not going to make a big deal about it. However, the person at the restaurant wanted to give me something for my inconvience, which I thought was highly nice. Overall, my pizza was very good, and I defintely enjoyed the service that was offered. Good customer service always make any situations better. I will defintely order from J & J again. read more

I went to this place on 05/08/2015 after hearing from other people I work with, who have tried their pizza & liked it. With their prices being a bit on the high side, I decided to order a personal pan pizza with sausage, just to find out if the pizza would be worth ordering in the future in a large. It's hot, generous toppings, & crust nice & crispy. I however did not like that it tasted too much like a home made pizza that my mom & Grandma would make. The pizza sauce tasted more like tomato sauce. Ragu tastes better to me than their pizza sauce. I also ordered mozzarella sticks, & they serve the same pizza sauce, which did not blend too well with the seasonings of the mozzarella sticks. The staff seem to be nice people, but I'm not sure if I want to order from them again, considering that I felt that their pizza did not live up to my expectations. I expect a pizza from an independent to actually have some flavor, & make theirs stand out from the national chains. If they would experiment with making different sauces, along with experimenting with some seasonings for the crust, that I might give them another try. For now, I can not support a pizza joint that makes a pizza taste like my mom's home made pizza with bland pizza sauce. read more
