She doesn't have a Doctor=God complex and is very attentive to my point of view with respect to my medical care. Her bedside manner is wonderful and she is beyond competent in what she does. Her staff, for the most part, are polite and well trained. Waiting time is usually as promised, and since I usually see her during my work lunch hour, they are extremely accommodating. When I called I spoke to someone by the name of Miriam or Maryanne who made my appointment, informed me that Dr. Levine took my insurance, and took down my insurance information. I got a call a few weeks before my set appointment telling me my appointment had to be cancelled and rescheduled for a month later, due to the doctor being away on vacation. I gladly agreed, although I was a little alarmed bc it seemed very unprofessional to reschedule a slew of patients that clearly have been made months in advance because the doctor decided to book a last minute vacation. Anyhow I agreed, and blew it off. Well the day of my long waited appointment I as well as my mother took the day off work and headed 2 hours away for this goden appointment. When we got there the receptionist informed me in the last few weeks they dropped my insurance company, and I could no longer be seen without a $450.00 copay!!! No one even called to tell me this in advance, and the office did not even honor an appointment they made for me, (and postponed), when they took my insurance 4 months before!!!! The receptionist were extremely rude, unsympathetic, and refused to hold themselves responsible for an mistake they clearly made. With Dr. Levine, it is not about the patient, the care, but about the business!

Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. Best of luck to those looking for a pcp as I will be as well.
