My windshield was hit by a rock driving home to visit family from Phoenix. The crack quickly spread across and it wasn't safe with the summer heat and my driving back by the end of the week. I had made an appointment with Safelite for the repair (online) but the earliest I could get in was Saturday (the day I had to drive back) and I didn't know how long it would take. I looked online and found Ray's. I called this morning and they were incredibly friendly, looked up my vehicle information and got me a quote within 15min. While they were booked up Friday and Saturday, when I told them I was leaving on Saturday, they fit me Friday morning. I just headed down the shop and left the car. My car was ready for pickup by 2:30 and looked fantastic! They had also vacuumed up the front for me:) Everyone was very nice and professional. I would completely recommend the shop! read more

Unfortunately, my experience with Ray's Affordable Auto Glass in Las Cruces was extremely disappointing, particularly when it came to customer service. The owner's attitude toward customers was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. There were snarky responses to normal questions, side-eyeing, and an overall dismissive attitude that made the entire interaction uncomfortable. It felt as though simply asking for clarification was somehow an annoyance. Being affordable doesn't excuse poor customer service. When someone chooses to spend their money with a local business, they should at least be treated with courtesy and respect--not made to feel like they're bothering the owner by asking reasonable questions. I wanted to support a local business, but the way I was treated completely changed my opinion of this shop. Based on my experience, I wouldn't return or recommend them to others. read more

This happened a few months ago, but the experience still bothers me enough to leave a review. I called Ray's Affordable Auto Glass beforehand, explained exactly what was going on with the vehicle, and was given a quote for the service. Based on that conversation and the price I was quoted, I sent my wife in to have the work done. Once she got there, however, the price suddenly increased significantly from what I had been quoted over the phone. What bothered me most was the way the situation was handled. There seemed to be very little concern about honoring what had been discussed with me or explaining why the price had changed so drastically. The whole experience left me questioning their business practices and whether customers can actually rely on the prices they are quoted. I also couldn't help but wonder why the price changed after my wife showed up instead of me. I can't say whether that had anything to do with it, but the difference in how the situation played out certainly didn't sit right with me. If circumstances changed and additional work was actually necessary, that should have been clearly explained before changing the price. Instead, the experience felt shady and left us feeling like the original quote meant very little. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Ray's Affordable Auto Glass. A business should communicate clearly, stand behind its quotes when the scope of work hasn't changed, and treat customers in a way that earns their trust. read more

On Wednesday I took my car to have a chip on my windshield patched. It was done in 20 minutes as I was told and the price was lower than another business that I checked over the phone. read more

Visiting from out of town I needed a small job done quick. Stopped by his very clean and organized shop. I talked to Ray, he was very professional and helped us out. Before I could blink he had his adhesive gun out, rags to clean and tape. He fixed the issue and we were on our way. My only wish is to send more people his way. Thanks Ray read more

WOW. Had my car's window replaced about four months ago. I dropped off, they "fixed" it. Within a week, I drove my car on the 25 and a side panel next to the window flew off (luckily it didn't hit another car!) I called and they said to come back. He asked if I pulled over to retrieve the piece that flew off. He ordered the replacement (free of charge). I went back to have it installed. THEN a week later, it rained and my windshield LEAKED on the inside. I called and he said they'll repair it (free of charge). I picked up my car and they did a terribly messy job with essentially black caulk on my dash and on my window. If I sell this car, I hope no one goes to look and investigate what it is. It's still visible to this day. Just yesterday with the heavy rains, my windshield leaked again. I am NOT going back to have them "fix" it. I do not recommend this place. Yes, they're cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. Lesson learned. read more

About 4 years ago, I went and got a windshield replaced and wanted to support a local business. When I went to pick it up, there was a noticeable scratch down the middle of the brand new windshield they were trying to get out. All they would do was offer me a small discount on my next windshield (because who gets windshield replaced that often??) and send me on my way. Today, on a new car, I went to go get my windshield replaced again. Figured since it was the pandemic and everyone was struggling, I'd let what happened last time fly, support a local business again and not even ask for the discount (big mistake). I had my windows tinted at a different business the day before on this car. I was told not to roll the windows down for about a week to dry, and informed Ray of this and politely asked him to not roll down the windows, a simple request. He informed me that he had been tinting windows for years and that only after a day, everything would be fine, but he assured me he wouldn't roll them down. Lo-and-behold, I come to pickup my car and both my windows were rolled down. Even if it doesn't affect the tint (yet), it's the fact of the matter a simple request wasn't honored. Twice I have been here and twice I have had bad service. Won't make that mistake again. read more

Great family business here in Las Cruces. I had a minor (but not cheap) repair to my vehicle that another garage would have charged me buckets of money for. Ray worked with me and explained to me exactly what was needed to minimize cost to me. He could have taken my keys and charged me $500 and I wouldn't have known any better. Instead he was honest. My son had a scheduled appointment with this man last week. The gentleman said he'd be at our home about 4 o'clock in the afternoon no call no show when we contacted him. He stated that he had forgot about the appointment rescheduled for this week on the 17th offered us a discount because he had forgot told us he called us at 6:30 in the morning to confirm and will be his first appointment called him a little after 7 AM stated that he was at another appointment and would be there shortly. Contact my son a little while later was very rude to my son and told him that he did not notify him how far out of town the truck was and that he would have to call him back later to reschedule because he was almost out of gas and hung up on my son. This man came highly recommended to us from friends with the border patrol. I don't recommend him. The gentleman had our address from the very first appointment, and if the distance traveled was going to be an issue, he could've asked for the truck to be brought into town. read more

We had a cracked windshield and asked Ray to replace it. When I picked up my car, it had no weather stripping around the windshield! Instead, they'd tucked the old cracked weather stripping LOOSE under the plastic molding. It cost me another $75 to order the weather stripping from the dealer, and then get it installed from yet another place. Ray NEVER mentioned they don't install weather stripping. Unless you want to go to three different places, don't waste your time on Ray's Affordable Glass. When I mentioned it to him, he somehow made it MY FAULT for not asking....... :( read more
